Westland Survival News

Welcome to the Wild West: Canyon Trials Edition

[p]To launch a Trial, you need to place 3 Silver and 3 Bronze rings on the pedestal. After that, enemies will begin attacking you. Stay alive and kill them all if you want your prize![/p][p]This location has a 2-day cooldown, but you can reset for a couple of silver coins.[/p][p][/p]
Waves
[p][/p]
  • [p]Waves 1-3 — This is a not very complicated intro to give you a chance to prepare for more advanced enemies. The difficulty grows gradually.[/p]
  • [p]Wave 4 — The 1st Boss fight.[/p]
  • [p]Wave 5 — You will face a large number of fast but low HP enemies. A good hummer or a shotgun would be useful for you to win this wave.[/p]
  • [p]Wave 6 — You will have to kill 5 Dsonokvas as fast as possible before they cast a powerful AOE-burst. In case you have survived after the first blast, they will start casting it once again. A powerful rifle or a gun will be the best choice to pass this wave successfully.[/p]
  • [p]Wave 7 — Survive fighting various enemies and do your best to avoid contact with Buffalo.[/p]
  • [p]Wave 8 — 2nd Boss fight. In case you have won all of the 8 waves you will face another 8 with increased difficulty. The total number of waves is infinite!  [/p][p][/p]
Bosses
[p][/p]
[p]Wendigo. You will see two ghosts. If you attack one of them it will try to run away, but the second one will try to hurt you. And every hit will summon a new immortal ghost attacking you. You can attack only the first ghost. When the first ghost loses more than 50% of HP, it will turn into Wendigo and start attacking you as well. The best strategy is to kill the boss using powerful attacks as fast as possible. Don’t try to kill other ghosts. They will disappear right after Wendigo's death. [/p]
[p][/p]
[p]Uktena. When moving, Uktena leaves a fire trail. It will hurt you if you try to cross it. The best strategy here is to hit’n’run, trying to ‘kite’ the boss and to avoid the fire trail. [/p]
[p][/p]
[p]Paisa. Beware of the Piasa! This new boss loves to attack from the rear and deals lots of area damage. It can appear on each 4th or 8th wave.[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p]
[p]Dsonokva. It looks scarier from a distance than it really is in close combat. Get your melee weapon ready! It can appear on each 4th or 8th wave.[/p]
[p][/p]
Canyon Trials Leaderboard
[p][/p][p]Canyon Trials Leaderboard participants compete within Leagues. There are Bronze, Silver, and Gold Leagues with 5 divisions in each of them.[/p][p]Your first run in the Canyon Trials is considered a qualifying run. Your performance in that run determines which league you are placed in, with the highest possible placement being Gold 5. [/p][p]Future battles defines your place within your group. The size of the group is determined by the League you get sorted into. [/p][p]Canyon Trials Leaderboard refreshes every 6 days. The new competition will begin in 24 hours after the previous one ends. [/p][p]Let’s make it clear how to get to the top of the Canyon Trials Leaderboard.[/p]
  • [p]Only the best of your completed attempts during the weekly period counts in the Canyon Trials Leaderboard. E.g. if you fought three times during the period and got 97, 101, and 98 points, then your maximum score is 101. And 101 is your result in the Leaderboard.[/p]
  • [p]You get points for every killed creature in the Canyon. The tougher the foe, the more points you get for dealing with them![/p]
  • [p]Additional points are given for the time it takes to deal with enemy waves. The faster you are, the more points you get![/p]
Rewards
[p]You get rewards both for completing each Canyon Trials fight and for your place in leaderboard by the end of the 6 days competitions.[/p]
  • [p]Rewards for each fight: Rings of power, Refined sugar and Silver coins;[/p]
  • [p]Leaderboard rewards: Gold Nuggets (starting from Gold League), Native American weapons, armor and tubes, rare tubes and useful resources.[/p]

[p]The wait is almost over — Westland Survival is coming to Steam this September! Add it to your Wishlist now and be ready when the gates to the frontier open 👉 [/p][p]http://bit.ly/westland_steam[/p][p][/p][p]⭐ More news is on the way — don’t miss it![/p]

Welcome to the Wild West: Spirit Cave Edition

[p]☠️ Some say the cave's haunted. Others say it's just full of secrets — and bones.
Deep underground, totems stir and ancient curses test your grit. But those who dare… ride out rich.
Pick your buffs, brave the fog, and let the spirits judge your worth.
[/p]

⚔️ Rooms, Bosses & Leagues
[p]The cave is split into rooms, each filled with enemies. After clearing one, you choose a bonus that’ll help you through the next. Every three rooms, you face a boss — tougher, meaner, but with better loot.

Each League adds more rooms and bosses:
[/p]
  • [p]Bronze: 9 rooms, 3 bosses
    [/p]
  • [p]Silver: 12 rooms, 4 bosses
    [/p]
  • [p]Gold: 15 rooms, 5 bosses
    [/p]
[p]Even if you drop to 0 HP, you won't die — you'll hang on with just 1 HP, giving you a fighting chance to continue.
[/p]

🌿 Powers of the Ancients
[p]After each room, you choose a power. Some are common, some rare, some legendary — and the deeper you go, the better they get.

Common Powers (12 total): stat boosts like bonus damage, resistance to debuffs, faster healing, or even an extra life.

Uncommon & Rare Powers: summon spirit allies, bounce attacks, explosions on kill, enemy slow effects, health regen auras, and more.

Epic Powers: powerful fused abilities like Spirit Bear form (deal AoE damage with knockback), Frost Trail (leave ice patches that slow enemies), Explosive Shot, Dual Arrows, Firestorm slashes, or deadly Traps.

A full run usually offers around 5–6 powers — choose carefully and build smart.
[/p]

🏆 Climb the Ranks
[p]All players start in the Bronze League, with the chance to climb to Silver and then Gold. Higher leagues mean more challenges, more rooms, and better rewards.

Compete for leaderboard placement each week. Rankings reset every Saturday at 12:00 UTC. The higher you place, the better the loot:
💰 Gold, 🪓 rare gear, 🍖 buffs, and even a few drinks to toast your victories.
[/p]

🎁 Totem Chests & the Endless Wave
[p]Each boss drops a treasure chest. The deeper you go, the better the loot: Native-style weapons and armor, rare materials, and sometimes special crafting ingredients.

After defeating the final boss, you can leave — or stay and fight in the Endless Wave. Survive for as long as you can against ever-tougher enemies. Every extra room means extra rewards — but no mercy.
Even death won’t kick you out — it’ll leave you with 1 HP… just enough to keep going if you dare.
[/p]

[p] Please note: Spirit Cave is not available in the Steam demo and will be introduced with the full PC release. Add Westland Survival to your wishlist to stay updated.

Sheriff’s Got Somethin’ to Say

[p]Sheriff Schultz is ridin’ in with a special message for every wanderer of these frontier lands.
There’s news from out West you won’t wanna miss.[/p][p]🎬 Watch now! [/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Welcome to the Wild West: Ranch Edition

[p]This time, we’re headin’ back to where it all begins: your Ranch. 🛠️ It ain’t just four walls and a roof — it’s your shelter, your workshop, your fortress on the frontier. Whether you’re crafting gear, raising foals, or prepping for your next ride, this is where the real groundwork happens.

Let’s hammer out the basics and turn that dusty plot into a home worth fightin’ for!
[/p]

🛠️ Home Sweet Ranch
[p]Your Ranch is more than just home — it’s your stronghold. A place to rest, gear up, and build everything you need to survive out West.

You can only build it at the Home location. To enter building mode, tap the little white house icon under the minimap. From there, you can:
[/p]
  • [p]lay down floors
    [/p]
  • [p]raise walls, place doors and windows
    [/p]
  • [p]craft benches and other furniture
    [/p]
[p]How building works:
Choose an object, check the required materials, and if you’ve got ‘em — build away! Just make sure the floor is the right tier, or the item won’t fit.

Want to upgrade?
[/p]
  • [p]Tap the up-arrow in build mode to see what’s needed
    [/p]
  • [p]No button? Try switching tabs in the lower menu to refresh
    [/p]
[p]Moving constructions:
Most objects can be moved — just not walls, floors, or the broken cart outside. Enter build mode, tap the item, and hit the crosspiece icon.

Destroying constructions:
Feel free to tear stuff down — you’ll get all materials back.
[/p]

✉️ Cody Express Delivers!
[p]There’s a new face in town — Speedy Cody and his fresh-started Postal Service. That shiny Mailbox at your Ranch? Yep, that’s his doing. You can move it around if it’s in the way — no fuss.

Here’s how the new system works:
[/p]
  • [p]All in-game rewards now go straight to your Ranch or Deepwater Mailbox
    [/p]
  • [p]Mail stays there for 30 days, so don’t forget to collect it
    [/p]
  • [p]Shop purchases show up in the Orders tab inside the Shop menu
    [/p]

🌾 Fields of Fortune
[p]Tired of garden beds? It’s time to upgrade your farming game — Fields are here to make your Ranch greener and your harvest richer.

How to get started:
[/p]
  • [p]Build your first Field via building mode — just like with any other structure
    [/p]
  • [p]Want to upgrade it? You’ll need Mineral Fertilizer, found at the Emergency Stop event
    [/p]
  • [p]You can build multiple Fields, but their number depends on your Well or Water Tower level
    [/p]
[p]And here’s the real kicker — Fields give seeds back when you harvest crops. That means self-sustaining farming and an endless supply of food if you play it smart.

Planting & Harvesting:
[/p]
  • [p]One Field = one crop
    [/p]
  • [p]When sowing, all seeds from your inventory are used at once
    [/p]
  • [p]Harvests mature together, not one by one like in garden beds
    [/p]
  • [p]Once harvested, you get your crop plus the same number of seeds you used — ready for the next round
    [/p]
[p]With this self-replenishing cycle, the Fields system is both efficient and rewarding. Just keep planting, harvesting, and expanding — and you’ll never run dry.
[/p]

🌽 Build a Barn
[p]Growin’ crops is hard work — and if your harvest is pilling up, it’s time to stash it proper. That’s where the Barn comes in.

This special storage keeps seeds, crops, fiber, and compound feed safe and sound — freeing up room in your Food and Wood storages. Clean, organized, and mighty convenient.

How to get one?
Head into building mode, then tap the Projects tab — you’ll find the Barn ready to raise.

Worried about bandits? Don’t be. They’ve got no interest in seeds or horse chow, so your Barn is safe during raids.
[/p]

🐾 Livestock Life: Ranch Animals
[p]
A true Ranch ain’t just walls and benches — it’s alive. And if you’re lookin’ to boost your supplies and feed both folks and beasts, it’s time to raise livestock.

[/p]
🐄 Cowshed
[p]Build a Cowshed to raise cattle and produce top-grade Fillets. Cows grow over time and need feed only once — they’ll happily chew through anything, but special cow fodder gives the best results. To grow your herd, upgrade the shed and keep that feeder full. Butchering cows requires the Farming workbench, so make sure it’s up to snuff.

[/p]
🐔 Chicken Coop
[p]Looking to make your pets happy or stock up on meat? Set up a Chicken Coop and raise your own poultry. Chickens are low-maintenance: feed ‘em once, and they’ll hatch and grow on their own. Once mature, they can be turned into meat using the Farming workbench. Just don’t forget — you’ll need a Breeding Rooster to get things started.

[/p]
🐎 Stables
[p]Every good traveler needs a horse — and every horse needs a home. Stables give your steeds a place to rest, regain Energy, and breed foals. Feed them with crops or Horse Feed for slow recovery, or give them Sugar Treats for an instant boost. As you upgrade the Stable, you’ll unlock more slots for horses and strengthen your herd.

[/p]
[p] Please note: most of the described systems are not available in the Steam demo and will be introduced with the full PC release. Add Westland Survival to your wishlist to stay updated — and be among the first to raise loyal companions once the full game launches.
