Dungeon exploration RPG “QUESTER | OSAKA” illustrated gameplay diary (Part 1)

Greetings to all Steam Community users. My name is Terukazu Yoshida, and I write gameplay diaries and appear as a mob character in various manga.

I have been given the opportunity to write and draw a picture diary of my playthrough of the dungeon exploration RPG “QUESTER | OSAKA”.

This was my first time playing the series, as I had not played the previous title, “QUESTER”. I assume that everyone reading this Steam Community is an expert player compared to me, so I hope you will enjoy this beginner’s playthrough and regard it kindly!

* The image text in this gameplay diary is in Japanese, but the text of the game itself is available in English as well.
Live through the decadent future!
A party of five Questers was hit by a large earthquake while exploring underground and their exit was blocked. The purpose of this game is to explore the underground, procure food and materials, and return to the surface.

Apparently, there are four choices available for the kind of party formation you can play with. As a first-time player of the series, I should probably choose the “Well-balanced Five,” but I couldn’t help feeling drawn to the “Five-man Aggro”!

Why don’t we just kill them before they kill us?

The “Five-man Aggro” team has no healer, so it’s unbalanced.

The five members are Gachiyama (Detonator), Red (Detonator), Bob (Officer), Kurokawa (Professor), and Juzo (Ranger). Ignoring the dangerous vibe coming from Gachiyama (Detonator), I’ll do my best with these five to reach the surface!

In the dungeon, Fuel is consumed with each step forward, and when this amount reaches zero, the day ends with you being forced to return to your Base. If a specified amount of Food is not collected during the ten-day period, a penalty will be imposed, and all Food must be gathered from caches scattered throughout the area. Also, it seems that Food can be obtained by defeating enemies that are able to be eaten. I wonder if there will be pork or chicken enemies…

While I was taking it easy, I encountered an Enemy and the battle started! These guys don’t look edible...

The commands that can be chosen depend on the character’s equipment. Gachiyama is equipped for defensive abilities, so try to use commands to defend and build Hate from the enemy without attacking.

It seems that Kurokawa can use a poison attack. Since this game seems to be one in which status effects are useful (that is my assumption), I’m going to choose Fanning Injection!

Once everyone’s commands are inputted, all that remains is to watch and pray that the commands I chose were correct. Oh, the poison attack is surprisingly damaging.

I managed to finish my first battle, although I suffered some casualties. However, my fallen party members will consume fuel to recover after the battle ends, which is a big help.

Oh, are we going to eat this...? It’s definitely a disgusting one!!

... Oh, looks like they actually were the type of enemy that can be eaten.
How to fight against a strong enemy… will be dealt with another time!
Illustrated gameplay diary (Part 2) of the dungeon exploration RPG “QUESTER | OSAKA” will be available later. Please look forward to it!
