Content Update to Free Demo Version
An Update to the Free Demo
The free demo of Robot Trivia Funtime has been updated to reflect the features of the latest full version. This means that all of the recent patches and engine upgrades are now in the demo, as well as the added GUI features and even the cosmetic system. To decorate your robot, simply click on them on the main menu.

As an added bonus, we've doubled the question packs to now include "Film and TV" and "Music". All of the default question packs are bundled in the full version. The full version also features multiplayer mode, configuring question packs, and Workshop features.

Thanks for trying the demo! That's all for now. See ya!

Your attention, please.
Some new features and changes
There are a few important changes in this update.

First, some new GUI features have been added. When you start a new round, you now get to see the order of each player (or bot) so you can work out who is standing at which podium. Similarly, there is now a halo around your character. This makes it easy to identify where your robot is if you are playing without cosmetics. There's also some other neat changes, like an exclamation mark that appears above your robot if you run out of time, and some confetti at the end of the round.

Secondly, the game now uses an updated version of Unity. This will help maintain compatibility and security, which is always important.

Thirdly, some important fixes have been made, especially to the Workshop uploader, but also some corrections to text in the question packs and changes to the Midnight Glitter chamber which was looking too spooky in comparison to the rest of the visuals.
Quick list
• Added intro screen player list
 • Added player selection halo
 • Added confetti to the win screen, cute!
 • Added exclamation mark effect when no answer is submitted in time
 • Updated to newer Unity engine version
 • Updated some default question packs to fix some errors
 • Changed Midnight Glitter chamber to better fit the game
 • Fixed glitch that could cause the Workshop uploader to jam if exported packs were deleted
What's next?
It's been a quiet couple of months on our end but work has continued on Robot Trivia Funtime. With much of the game in place now, we're considering moving out of Early Access soon into full release, and simply treating new features as nice-to-have updates.

The Robot Trivia Funtime demo has had a lot of attention and it's been fun to see the odd stream and video here and there. We're going to update the demo next and bring it up to speed with the current version and give it access to some extra question packs.

That's all for now. See ya!

Robot Cosmetic Update

This update introduces cosmetics so you can add a little decoration to your robot! The two main types are hats and chambers, but the groundwork has also been laid for celebration emotes.

To customise your robot, simply click on it on the main menu, and you will be taken to the cosmetic screen.
Current Cosmetic Items
There are 9 hats to get you started, with more on the way. This includes classics like the tophat and cowboy hat, and some interesting pieces, including the traditional chef toque and the subtle bent antenna. I've been using the hard hat myself.

The chambers are a unique cosmetic in Robot Trivia Funtime. These are the big columns behind each robot that flash whenever buttons are pressed and answers are revealed. The default chamber has gone from a solid blue to a pinkish water. There's also two other chambers you can select at the moment: midnight glitter, which is a very moody effect, or peachy robots, featuring tiny robots suspended in water. Don't worry, they can't feel a thing... presumably.

Celebrations are the next step. This will allow you to pick a custom emote to be played at the end of the game if you win the round. For now, there are no additional celebrations to pick from.

New cosmetics will be added in subsequent updates. They are ready to use, unlocked and included as part of the game. This update is rolled out in our Windows and Linux versions of Robot Trivia Funtime, but is not currently available in the demo.
