Goblin Cleanup launches into Steam Early Access on 18th September
Goblin Cleanup will now launch into Steam Early Access on 18th September.
Goblins, we've made the decision to slightly delay Goblin Cleanup's Steam Early Access launch by three weeks.

Our three-person dev team has been working hard with our publisher to add the final polish for Early Access, but our dungeons need a few additional weeks before we open our gates to you and your goblin friends.

Overall, we've made this decision to ensure you have the best co-op cleaning experience at our Steam Early Access launch. Until then, we'll set the traps, so prepare your mops to clean up on 18th September!

Brave cleaners (and clumsy ones too) can delve into the first few dungeons in our recently updated Steam demo, testing your clean-up skills ahead of our Early Access launch.

We appreciate your support and look forward to sharing more updates soon, including details on Goblin Customisation, both through our Steam page and our @GoblinCleanup social media accounts!

Goblins, thank you for your understanding and for all of your support! 💚

🎉 We've just updated our Demo! 🎉

Hey Goblins!

It's been a while since our last demo update... so we thought we'd update it with some of the new additions we've been crafting, alongside gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and more!

To start off, we've added our new Staffhub into the demo, which means no more creating a new lobby after cleaning up a level! You can now meet in this shared Staffhub, which allows you to prepare together, select through our demo levels, and like any Staff Room... hang out with cleaning colleagues! 🛋️🧹

Alongside this, we'd like to highlight the addition of third-person camera mode to view your goblin character in all its glory and gameplay improvements, like overhauling of our Mana System for restoring objects on your cleanup adventures. 🔮

Our demo update brings more improvements and even new enemies to encounter through the dungeons... which you can read more about in our detailed patch notes below: 👇

Goblin Cleanup enters Early Access on August 28th!

We’re excited to announce we have two pieces of major news, including our Steam Early Access release date for Goblin Cleanup...👀
Goblin Cleanup will enter Steam Early Access on August 28th, 2025!
Alongside the announcement of our EA release date, we’re also thrilled to announce our publisher partnership with Team17! We’ve been hard at work on our new Release Date Announcement trailer with Team17, which you can watch below: 👇
New to Goblin Cleanup? 🧹
In Goblin Cleanup, you assume the role of a professional cleaner hired by the dungeon manager to clean and prepare the dungeon for the next adventure. You can perform this task alone or with up to three companions, cooperatively or maybe not so cooperatively!

Be careful because the dungeons are dark and full of terrors, although as a professional cleaner this is not a problem, just don't step on a trap, and keep the monsters fed, you don't want them to eat you, or any of your friends.
Key Features
🧌 Goblin Maid: What better way to clean up than doing it like a pro? Play as a goblin alongside other goblins.

🧹 Clean: It's your job to clean up the mess, so clean it up you shall! Use your Slimop, mimic, and slime dispenser tool to help you remove all that blood from the floor and ceiling!

🪑 Restore Objects: To ensure the dungeon returns to its original state, you must restore objects and place them back in their original positions.

⛓️Restore Traps: What kind of dungeon would it be without traps? You'll need to restore and reactivate them. Be cautious; there might be traps that weren't triggered by adventurers and are still active.

👹 Creatures: You'll also need to respawn creatures and dispose of their remains. Additionally, some creatures might not have perished.

We're SO Back with Progress! ✨

We know it's been a while since our last update — but no worries, development on Goblin Cleanup is moving forward at full speed. We're fully focused on releasing the Early Access in Q3 this year, and things are coming together.
🧹 Customization & Third-Person View
We’ve now fully implemented the character customization system, letting you change your goblin’s appearance with different outfits and styles. You can also switch between first and third-person camera anytime during gameplay.
🛋️ New Lobby System: Staffhub
No more creating a new lobby every time. Players now meet in a shared hub — the Staffhub — where you can select levels, prepare together, and hang out. Also: there’s a cat, and yes, you can pet it.
🔮 Mana System Overhaul
We’ve made a small redesign to the mana system to make it a bit less… mindless. It’s now divided into three zones:

Gray – Off

Green – On

Red – Overcharged, triggering an extra effect

To properly restore an object, the mana level must be in the green zone.
🧱 Level Updates & New Areas
We’ve done a visual pass across all levels, improving the overall look and feel of the dungeon.
On top of that, we’ve added new levels including the Prison, the Dining Hall, and the Kitchen — each with their own messy challenges.
👾 Monsters in the Dungeon
We’ve started implementing several monsters across the dungeon. Enemies like the Carnivorous Plant, Spider, Cat, and Golem are now active, and we’re continuing to expand their behavior and interactions. More to come soon!
🧪 Other Features in Progress
We're also working on several new features, including:

 • Offline Singleplayer
 • Save System
 • Key Rebinding

...among other quality-of-life improvements and polish.
📢 Big Announcement Coming Soon
We’re preparing a major announcement for mid next month. Stay tuned!
