Take control!

A control stick and throttle are the key controls to any aircraft, be it a fighter or an attack aircraft. In Aces of Thunder, you can control your aircraft by using the sticks on the controller and also take control of the throttle and rudder with literally your own hands! To do this, just reach out with your virtual hands, grab them, and then move the controller in the same way as you would move a control stick while sitting in the cockpit of a real aircraft.

You can also use the touch of your hands to control the flaps and landing gear — plus, even open the cockpit canopy if it gets too hot in battle!

Use the most immersive and intuitive controls to navigate in the most realistic air battles in Aces of Thunder when it releases on Steam!

Per Ardua ad Astra! The Royal Air Force will greet virtual reality pilots with the launch of the Aces of Thunder flight simulator with four renowned aircraft that fought in World War II.

Guarding the shores of Great Britain is the Spitfire, one of the most advanced aircraft of the Battle of Britain, and Typhoons, which joined later, and together, these aircraft supported the Allies during the Normandy landings. The carrier-based Firefly patrolled the coast of Norway and raided Japanese-occupied islands, while the low-flying Mosquito bombarded German-controlled cities, delivering pinpoint strikes on critical targets such as the Gestapo headquarters in Aarhus and Copenhagen.

We’re happy to introduce Aces of Thunder, a new flight simulation game that we’re developing for VR devices! Aces of Thunder is a spin-off of the popular online game War Thunder dedicated to aerial battles of legendary aircraft in the most iconic theaters of war.

On release, over twenty meticulously recreated models will be available instantly: the American P-51 Mustang and P-63 Kingcobra fighters, the German Bf 109 and Fw 190 fighters, the Soviet IL-2 attack aircraft, the British Spitfire fighter and the Japanese A6M3 Zero. You can admire both the interior and exterior of these beauties by walking around them on the airfield.

Flights will take place entirely from within the cockpit, where you can quite literally grab the controls with your hands and spin a turn. We did everything to recreate the controls of each aircraft as realistically and accurately as possible while maintaining comfort for VR players.

The game will be released in Q4 of 2024. The price and release date will be announced a bit later. Wishlist the game right now and subscribe to our social media to keep up with the news!
