Repterra Development Update September 2024
Hello Everyone!
I wanted to give a quick update, we are deep deep in development of Repterra.
We have most the core engine implemented. It's able to simulate 100k+ dinos at 200fps on our mahcines using parallel computing (the game is capped at 60fps so this efficiency should allow it to run well on older machines too).
A few cool things we've added so far:
-Flying dinos that spit acid from above (and anti-air cannons to shoot them down)
-Amphibious croc-like dinos that can emerge from the sea and attack your base on land.
-Soldiers that can deploy with sandbags, giving extra attack damage and range
-15+ base buildings
-Soldiers that can garrison neutral buildings on the map
-Roads, buildings, and urban environments
-Engineers that can capture neutral buildings
-Dino taming and breeding centers
We're working really hard to get the first playable version out asap.
