⚔️ Major Update Out Now – Warpaints Reforged! ⚔️

[h3]Greetings Vikings![/h3][p]It’s been a while since our last update, and we truly appreciate your patience. The road here wasn’t without its bumps, especially as we tackled the ambitious rework of one of Asgard’s Fall's core systems. [/p][p]But we’re back, and we're thrilled to announce that the Major Update is live now![/p][p]This update focuses heavily on refining and improving existing mechanics, delivering much-requested quality-of-life enhancements, and setting the stage for exciting new content to come. At the heart of it all is the Warpaint System, now fully reworked and more powerful than ever before. [/p][p][/p][h3]Dive into the full changelog below:

[/h3][h2] 🛠️ Update 0.2.1.a – Warpaint System Rework[/h2][p][/p][h3][/h3]
  • [p]Warpaint Loadouts are now available.[/p]
  • [p]Mass-destroy functions for all Warpaint rarities.[/p]
  • [p]Stat overview panel showing the combined effects of your current Warpaint Loadout.[/p]

  • [p]Complete rework of the Warpaint System (includes a full reset; 👉👈 sorry).[/p]
  • [p]Warpaints are now organized in the inventory via drag & drop.[/p]
  • [p]Warpaints can be equipped directly from the inventory into the Warpaint Grid.[/p]
  • [p]New rarities introduced: Common → Epic → Legendary → Mythic.[/p]
  • [p]Warpaint stats now roll in Tiers 1–4, each with its own stat range.[/p]
  • [p]Legendary Warpaints feature unique effects (limited to one of each effect equipped).[/p]
  • [p]Warpaints now generate Rune Essence, to be used in a future Crafting System.[/p]
  • [p]Pigments have been reset; they’ll return as a core resource in upcoming crafting mechanics.[/p]
  • [p]Destroying Warpaints now yields Pigments based on their stats and rarity.[/p]

The Warpaint System was a massive focus, and we’re proud of how it's shaping the mid- and late-game experience.[/p][p]You might’ve noticed that Pigments are currently gone. Don't worry, they're not gone forever. They'll return in of the upcoming Major Updates (sooner than later) as part of a brand-new Crafting System that we're actively developing. So hang tight! The Warpaints Awaken!

[h3]Hail, warriors![/h3][p][/p][p]It’s been a while since our last update, but we’re finally back with great news: the long-awaited Major Update is set to drop this week![/p][p]First and foremost, a massive thank you to all of you for your incredible support, your patience, and for sticking with us while we battled through some tough terrain (on more than just the battlefield). This update took longer than expected, and we want to be upfront: we ran into a handful of very tricky obstacles during the complete rework of the Warpaint system, and alongside the usual coding chaos, we also had to deal with a couple of health-related setbacks along the way. But we’re happy to say: we’re doing better, we’re back on track, and we’re still working our axes off to bring Asgard’s Fall to life.[/p][p]This upcoming update is a big one. The Warpaint system has been completely overhauled to offer deeper customization and even more brutal strategic options for your Viking runs. It’s all part of making every fall (and rise) in the Nine Realms even more thrilling.[/p][p]We’re really looking forward to dropping the update later this week and seeing what you think. 🛡️ Dev Update – A Sign from the Halls of Asgard 🛡️

Warriors!

We’re sending out a vital sign from the dev forge to let you know: we’re still here, hammering away—just a bit deeper in the code mines than expected.

We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting the major update originally planned for May, and we’re truly sorry for the delay. As you may know, this update includes a complete overhaul of the Warpaint system, and that journey turned out to be more treacherous than we anticipated.

Digging into the ancient foundations of the Warpaint and Rune systems, we realized that parts of the old code simply couldn’t keep up with our ambitions. So, we took a deep breath… and rewrote entire parts of the system from scratch. It’s a bold move, but one we believe is necessary to deliver the experience you deserve. Also enabling us to shape future updates based on these systems to be even better.

To show you we’re not just stuck in the Bifröst, here’s a short sneak peek of the new Warpaint UI and some freshly reforged Runes in action! 📽️

👀A Glimpse into the Next Major Update👀

Fellow Vikings!

Here we are with a first look at the upcoming major update for Asgard’s Fall! One of the headline changes is a full overhaul of the Warpaint system, with a ton of long-requested improvements and fresh mechanics that will shake up how you build and customize your characters.

[h3]Inventory Gets a Makeover[/h3]
Warpaints now live side by side with your inventory, and managing your gear just got a whole lot smoother:
  • Inventory now displayed right next to your Warpaint
  • Filtering & sorting options for easier navigation
  • Bigger inventory with multiple pages
  • Mass dematerializing for faster cleanup
  • Lock specific items to avoid accidents
  • Build loadouts unique to each character
  • See active Warpaint effects at a glance

[h3]Warpaint Runes – New Structure, New Power[/h3]
Warpaint recipes are gone—all their effects are now baked right into the Runes themselves. This new system is all about flexibility and surprise:
  • Warpaints come in rarity tiers: Common, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and Unique
  • Each tier offers a different number of random stat bonuses
    • Example: Common = 2 stats, Mythic = 4 stats
  • Unique Runes feature an exclusive bonus effect that’s one-of-a-kind!
  • The world pigment drops will also change in this respect, as the new pigments will then drop.

[h3]Pigments and Crafting – What’s Next?[/h3]
Pigments will also evolve alongside this update. Any pigments in your inventory will likely be converted automatically.

However, full Warpaint crafting is planned for a future update, as it's still under development and not ready for testing just yet.

⚔️ Asgard’s Fall – Balance Update Now Live! ⚔️

Hey Vikings!

We’re back with a new Asgard’s Fall update, and this one’s all about balance! From faster summons to reworked damage values and skill tweaks, this patch should shake up your builds and make the battlefield feel even more dynamic.

Let’s dive into the details:

  • Summons:
    • Increased movement speed for all summons
    • Reduced attack cooldown for all summons
    • Ride of the Valkyries: Adjusted behavior and increased initial spawn from 2 → 4
    • Flamebound Leech: Increased initial spawn from 1 → 3, removed upgrade scaling
  • Ability Balance: Adjusted upgrade weights for several overperforming skills

    • Magma Sphere: Damage 70 → 80, now has 50% chance to Ignite
    • Ember Axes: Damage 75 → 65
    • Jotunnfire Outburst: Damage 45 → 55
    • Fiery Rune: Damage 30 → 45
    • Glacial Sunder: Damage 30 → 45
    • Arctic Assault: Damage 60 → 80
    • Ymir’s Avalanche: Damage 25 → 30, now has 50% chance to Chill
    • Frost Trap: Projectiles now freeze enemies
    • Gungnir: Damage 30 → 40
    • Yggdrasil’s Pulse: Now has 50% chance to Shock
    • Spear of the Elder: Adjusted attack radius and damage during its cycle
    • Forged: Temporarily increased damage by ~50% while under rework
  • Knot of Fate Adjustments:
    • Chain Lightning: Now 15% chance to Shock
    • Searing Path: Lifetime 2.5s → 5s, damage 5 → 10
    • Blood Frenzy: 0.25% chance to increase attack speed by 0.5% until hit
    • Frontline: Now shows a range indicator
    • Fiery Prowess: Now grants 0.5% fire damage (was 1%)
  • Class Updates:
    • Seer: Golem from Blood Ritual now periodically uses Plague Burst
    • Warrior: Thorn damage 35 → 45
    • Huntress: Wolf companion bleed chance 10% → 50%
    • Viking’s Resolve cooldown reduction 15% → 10%
