💫BREAKING NEWS! March 31st!
The official release date for Space Sprouts! 🥳🚀

Dear Sproutlings 🌱,

we are very excited to finally announce the release date of Space Sprouts in exactly 2 months from today, on the last day of March!

After more than 2 years of hard work we cannot wait to bring our first game out into the world!

Next month we will participate in the Steam Next Fest, which runs from Feb. 27th until March 3rd, with a brand new demo including many new areas we have added in the last month!

[h3]🛠️ Connecting, Polishing, and Adding Secrets[/h3]

This month we've been hard at work:

• Connecting areas and filling gaps for smoother exploration 🌌
  
• Adding secret tunnels for you to discover – who doesn’t love a hidden path? 🔍
  
• Replacing blockouts with final artwork, making each area come alive. 🎨

[h3]💎 Powering Up with Gem-Powered Engines![/h3]

One of the most exciting additions is the new engine, powered by mysterious gems. Check out the progression from sketch to final design in the images attached! This engine will be the heart of your journey, pushing you further into the cosmos.



[h3]⏳ Late Game & Playtesting[/h3]

As we build out the late-game areas, we’ve dedicated extra time to playtesting the progression. Huge thanks to our dedicated playtesters for helping us refine the experience and make the late-game as thrilling as the first launch! Your support means the world to us. 💚

A LOOK BACK AT 2024 🌟🎄

Dear Sproutlings 🌱,

as the holidays approach and 2024 draws to a close, what better time to reflect on the incredible journey this year has been?

[h3]🚀 From a Single Room to a Growing Universe[/h3]

2024 truly was the year for Space Sprouts! The game evolved from a small placeholder tech demo with just one room into a huge experience with almost 20 unique rooms filled with real gameplay and personality.

We dug into our archives and found this screenshot from last December: the cockpit area – the only existing room at the time. While much has transformed since then (and Oda no longer looks like a LEGO minifigure), there’s one object in this screenshot that hasn’t changed a bit. Can you spot it? 👀

[h3]🛠️ The Journey Toward Release[/h3]

As we approach the release early next year, we’re hard at work:

• Making the game prettier 🎨
  
• Adding the final areas 🚪
  
• Polishing existing ones to become their best selves ✨
  

This year flew by in a blast! It feels like just yesterday we launched our first free demo for you all to play. Alongside the growing main game, the demo has been updated steadily – and if you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s still available to play!

Along with today's trailer we also released a new demo version for you to play! We already covered some exciting information about all the changes in last week's newsletter, so here is a run down:

We are happy to be finalists of the GWB Game Awards that will be held today on Steam at around 5:30 pm. MEZ!!

[h2]Huge announcement in 1 week![/h2]
Dear Sproutlings 🌱,
this month has us on the edge of our seats! We are finalists for the GWB Game Awards, yay! The award ceremony will take place next week on Friday, the 22nd of November and we are one of the amazing finalists in the overseas category! We have an exciting announcement to make during the event, so keep an eye on our socials and Steam newsletter!

[h2]What have we been working on?[/h2]
The last months we've continued to work on expanding the spaceship and adding new rooms. Something else we have achieved is the complete overhaul of the tutorial, so let's look at some of the changes we made:

[h4]New tutorial area[/h4]
We have done a complete overhaul of the tutorial and added a new area for you to explore before taking off into space. Some cool details:

• You will be able to crack open a cold one, rummage through suitcases with peculiar items or get a massage of interstellar quality. 💼
  
• You can also take some time to say Goodbye to Oda's family now! ❤️
  
• Handpainted murals on the walls tell the story of what every young person goes through when they reach adulthood. 🎨
  
• A huge panorama in the background gives you one last, breathtaking view of the home planet before you blast off. 🌅
  

[h4]We've also added some...[/h4]
... outfit and hairstyle changes, different spaceship layout, added fire, new color design and loads of opportunities to experiment!




[h4]In the meantime...[/h4]
... we are having fun meeting old and new friends at the GamesGround event in Berlin. Feels good to show Space Sprouts to the world and talk to players after this long stretch of continously working on new content!
