I've just added 3 new metal music tracks with varying difficulty levels and unique gameplay experiences.

[h2]XP System Overhaul - Faster Level Progression[/h2]
I've completely revamped the XP and leveling system to create a much more rewarding progression experience. The previous system had an exponential growth curve that made higher levels extremely difficult to achieve.

What Changed:
Previously, each level required 10% more XP than the previous level. Now it's only 5% more per level, creating a much smoother progression curve.

Real Impact Examples:
  • Level 19→20: Was 6,140 XP, now only 2,540 XP (58% reduction)
  • Level 30: Was 165,130 total XP, now 66,752 XP (60% reduction)
  • Level 50: Was 1,169,430 total XP, now 210,751 XP (82% reduction)


What This Means for Players:

If you typically score 1,000,000 points per Musical Target session (earning 1000 XP), reaching Level 50 previously required about 1,169 sessions. Now it takes only 211 sessions - that's 958 fewer sessions needed!

Technical Implementation:

All existing player progress is preserved - this change only affects future XP requirements. You won't lose any progress, but you'll advance much faster going forward.

[h2]Customizable Target Colors[/h2]

I've added a new target color customization system that lets you personalize your aim training experience with vibrant color options.
Available Colors:
  • White (Default)
  • Red
  • Blue
  • Deep Blue
  • Turquoise
  • Pink
  • Yellow
  • Green
How It Works:

Navigate to Settings and find the new "Current Target Color" dropdown. Select your preferred color and it will immediately apply to the next target you need to hit in Musical Target mode.
Technical Features:
  • Color settings are saved automatically and persist between sessions
  • Only the active target (first in queue) gets the highlight color
  • Works with both numbered targets and countdown-disabled targets
  • Uses shader-based coloring for optimal performance


Why This Matters:

Different players have varying visual preferences and needs. Some find certain colors easier to track, while others simply prefer aesthetic customization. This feature makes the training experience more accessible and personally engaging.
The color system integrates seamlessly with the existing target highlighting system, ensuring you always know which target to hit next while expressing your personal style.

[h2]Enhanced Performance Analytics - Miss and Whiff Tracking[/h2]
I've added two new key performance metrics to give you deeper insights into your aim training sessions.
New Tracking Metrics:
  • Miss Counter: Tracks targets that time out before being hit
  • Whiff Counter: Tracks shots fired that don't hit any target
What This Means:
  • High Miss Count: Work on reaction time and target acquisition speed
  • High Whiff Count: Focus on accuracy improvement
  • Low Both: Well-balanced speed and accuracy performance
Where to Find It:
Both metrics appear in the end-game performance overview with percentages.

EA V0.5.(M) - TECHNICAL UPDATE

Zen Editor Development Update

Thank you for trying out Zen Editor during its early access phase. This tool was designed to let you easily create and customize your own maps, but as you know, it's still in the early stages of development.

Unfortunately, Unity Gaming Services recently announced the shutdown of their UGC (User Generated Content) system. Because of this, maps created within Zen Editor can now only be tested locally. Online sharing and downloading of maps is no longer available for the time being. I’ll be looking into alternative solutions, but until I find a solid replacement, this limitation will remain in place.

On top of that, development on Aim Zen — and especially the long-awaited Musical Target System — has slowed down recently. The reason is simple: I’m currently focused on developing a new project called SUBJECTS, a multiplayer horror game that requires most of my attention right now. Once SUBJECTS reaches a more stable point, I’ll return to working on the Musical Target Editor and continue expanding Zen Editor’s capabilities.

New Features and Improvements


[h2]New Track Added: DIGITAL MADNESS[/h2]
"DIGITAL MADNESS" is now available in the rhythm game collection! This MEDIUM difficulty track features 212 perfect beats across its 2:04 duration. With its GOOD sync rating and moderate density level of 1.71, it offers an ideal challenge for intermediate players looking to test their skills. Jump in now to experience this pulse-pounding new addition to the Aim Zen soundtrack!

[h2]Added Quadrant Analytics System (Version 1)[/h2]
A comprehensive quadrant analytics system has been implemented to help players improve their performance in Musical Target mode. This initial Version 1 release tracks accuracy and timing across different screen quadrants, providing basic feedback after each session. Players can now identify their strengths and weaknesses by screen region. Some features are limited in this first iteration, with more detailed analytics and visualization options planned for future updates. Currently, this feature is only available in Musical Target mode.



[h2]Dynamic XP System Based on Target Size[/h2]
A musical target size slider has been added that directly affects the XP multiplier! The smaller the targets, the more XP earned. This risk-reward system encourages skill development while providing appropriate rewards for taking on greater challenges. Players can adjust the target size to match their skill level and earn XP bonuses up to 2x the standard rate.



[h2]Improved Startup Performance[/h2]
Game startup time has been significantly optimized, reducing launch time from 8 seconds to just 4 seconds. This improvement makes getting into the action much faster and more seamless.

[h2]UI Improvements[/h2]
Several UI issues have been addressed to provide a more polished experience. The end-game screen now displays quadrant-specific performance data, giving players actionable insights on their gameplay patterns. Responsiveness and visual feedback of various UI elements throughout the game have also been improved.

[h2]Main Menu Music System[/h2]
Background music has been added to the main menu with a dedicated volume slider. The music is muted by default, allowing players to enable and adjust the volume to their preference. This addition enhances the atmosphere while maintaining player control over their audio experience.

[h2]General Bug Fixes[/h2]
Several bugs in the general code have been fixed, improving stability and performance across various game systems. These fixes include better handling of game state transitions, more reliable scoring, and enhanced synchronization between gameplay elements.

Frame Rate Limiting Added
A new dropdown option in the settings allows players to cap the frame rate, providing more control over performance.

Game Minimization Issue Resolved
The game no longer minimizes when the player is out of focus, ensuring uninterrupted gameplay.

Global XP Leaderboard Enhanced
The global XP leaderboard is now color-coded to highlight the top 3 and top 10 players, making it easier to track the leaders.

Startup Time Optimized
Startup speed has been improved, reducing the load time from 14 seconds to 10 seconds.

Discord Button Fixes
Previously non-functional Discord buttons have been fixed and are now fully operational.

Leaderboard Performance Improved
The slow behavior of leaderboards has been addressed, providing a smoother experience.

Musical Target Spawner Fixes
Minor delays in the musical target spawner have been fixed. While these delays may have been subtle, the improvement ensures smoother gameplay.
