This major update introduces a complete overhaul of the UI, marking a pivotal step forward in Aim Zen's development. I’ve carefully restructured the interface to offer a more intuitive, streamlined experience, ensuring that users can access key features effortlessly. The new design enhances both the aesthetic appeal and functionality, allowing for better customization and a smoother flow during gameplay. Along with these changes, I’ve added 5 new tracks to expand the rhythm-based gameplay and improved target visibility to enhance accuracy and overall user experience. These updates reflect my commitment to providing a top-tier aim training platform, with every session now feeling more cohesive and polished.

Indication of targets are more visible now, the target that players must hit is highlighted:

By making the game engine more stable and flexible, these changes will ensure that upcoming features and improvements can be implemented more smoothly and efficiently.

Regular Update/1 - 5 New Tracks, Keybinding & More !

With this update, the promise of adding 3 new songs has been surpassed with the introduction of 5 fresh tracks to enrich the gaming experience. These new songs are designed to bring even more excitement and variety to each session.

In addition to the new music, there’s a notable enhancement in the controls. Players can now customize the fire button to their preference. Whether it’s the Left Mouse Button, Right Mouse Button, Space, Ctrl, LShift, Z, or X, the option to adjust the key provides a more personalized and comfortable gameplay experience.

UI improvements have also been made to enhance overall usability and make interactions smoother. The interface now offers a more intuitive layout and better responsiveness, ensuring a more seamless experience. (For musical heaven tab)

In this update, I’ve introduced several new features and important improvements to enhance the overall gameplay experience. I’ve added visually striking Combo Flame effects and implemented a partial sensitivity converter for select games, making it easier for players to adjust their controls. The PlayerAnalyticManager has been created, along with the full integration of player analytics, providing deeper insights into player behavior. Additionally, three new achievements and an Analytics tab have been added to enrich the gameplay experience. To ensure player data security, I’ve implemented encryption and integrated Steam Cloud for seamless data management. The Authentication Manager has been upgraded for stronger security, and I’ve introduced an epilepsy warning along with a note on the startup screen for player safety. The main menu settings have also been enhanced with a new customization tab and various UI improvements. For developers, the MH Editor has been updated, and two new tracks have been added for more variety. Lastly, I’ve added Combo Flame customization options.

In terms of bug fixes, I’ve addressed several issues, including the skip downtime bug and a similar bug in UGC. I’ve also optimized some track synchronizations and resolved issues in the audio and sensitivity settings. Additionally, I’ve fixed the overflowing names in the leaderboard and made general optimizations to improve performance.

Major Update/2 - Sensitivty Converter, Musical Target System Overhaul and More..

Hi folks, another day another major update huh ? Keep in mind that some features are not available at the demo version. Let's see what's changed this time:


Update Overview/List:


  • Final score calculation for MH has been updated.
  • Final score UI has been revamped.
  • Perfect, Good, and Ok scores are now displayed on the HUD.
  • Added a countdown when exiting the pause menu.
  • Added a crosshair indicator when exiting the pause menu.
  • Added a countdown when starting a map.
  • Added pause buttons to the MH Tab.
  • Added Max Combo Result to the results screen.
  • Fixed light-on-audio issues in "The Room".
  • Made engine changes.
  • Added reactive lights on/off functionality.
  • Added a combo glow switch.
  • Added customizable arrow opacity.
  • Added a customizable target counter.
  • Added customizable target colors.
  • Players can now see their last high score on the results screen.
  • Players can skip downtimes.
  • Added ComboFlame (new visuals).
  • Partially added a sensitivity converter for some games.

  • Fixed the issue where the crosshair was visible in the pause menu while in UGC content.
  • Fixed the issue where slider values in settings would go under the UI and disappear.
  • Fixed the bug where tracks would not stop playing after changing tabs.
  • Fixed volume bug.
  • Fixed a bug where the indicator arrow was showing targets that had not yet spawned.
  • Fixed resolution bug.
  • Fixed skip downtime bug in the demo version.


Musical Target System Overhaul:


Musical Target System Scoring

In the Musical Target System, your score is calculated based on how timely you hit the target. Here’s how it works:

  • Time Calculation: We measure how long ago the target appeared and use this time to calculate your score. (Closer ring to the target, higher score you get with every hit.)
  • Score Types:
    - Perfect: If you hit the target in time, you get the highest score.
    - Good: If there’s a slight delay, you get a good score.
    - Ok: If there’s a longer delay, you receive an average score.
  • Score Calculation Formula:
    - The score is calculated using the formula:
    currentScore += Mathf.RoundToInt(385 * 2 * (1 + accuracyPercentage / 100f) * (1 + musicalTargetComboManager.comboCounter / 100f));

    - Here, `accuracyPercentage` is the accuracy of the hit, and `comboCounter` is the combo multiplier that increases the score.
  • Score Boosts: Combos and accuracy increase your total score. Higher combos mean higher scores.


Example:
Imagine you hit a target with the following values:
- Accuracy Percentage: 85%
- Combo Counter: 10 (i.e., 10% combo bonus)

Calculation:
- Accuracy Bonus: 1 + 85 / 100 = 1.85
- Combo Bonus: 1 + 10 / 100 = 1.10
- Score: 385 * 2 * 1.85 * 1.10 ≈ 1,551

So, you would receive a score of approximately 1,551 for that hit. And after that, you will get the time score, lets say you hit the target after 0.950 ms after spawning you will get extra 950 points. So in end of the day your score will be about 2,501.

This system makes scoring more fair and rewarding by considering your timing and combos.

Skipping Downtime and UI Changes:


As you can see at the right bottom corner, players can see the amounts of "Perfect, Good and Ok" hits and player can skip downtimes with "Space" key.

More, More, More:


Added lots of customization settings to the system so people can be free with their experience. Like:
- Combo Glow On/Off
- Target Color
- Arrow Opacity
- Target Counter and more.

Sensitivity Converter:


Our sensitivity converter allows players to adjust their sensitivity settings from other games to fit seamlessly into Aim Zen. This tool uses predefined conversion values to ensure that your aiming experience remains consistent, no matter which game you're transitioning from.

How It Works:
- Input your sensitivity settings from another game.
- The converter applies the necessary adjustments based on a set of predefined values.
- Get your new sensitivity setting for Aim Zen, optimized for the best performance.
