Foul | September Update

[h3]Welcome to the latest update post of Foul, an indie survival game set in a post apocalyptic world.[/h3][p][/p][p]A lot of things have happened over the past three months — both in the game and outside of it.[/p][p]In game, I have expanded the player systems with new stats, added a swamp biome, fuel mechanics and a new enemy type — the boar. I have also introduced accessories like backpacks, boots, gloves, vests, and rings to give players extra stats. And as always — I fixed some bugs.[/p][p]Outside of the game, I have been focusing more on marketing. Foul | June Update

[h3]Welcome to the latest update post of Foul, an indie survival game set in a post apocalyptic world.[/h3][p][/p][p]The latest devlog introduces several major improvements and new features. Swimming and water mechanics are now fully implemented, made possible by a recent fix to the root motion system. Building houses has become much more intuitive with the addition of snapping parts, allowing for precise and modular construction. The entire game world has been reset and replaced with a brand-new map that’s four times larger, offering more space and variety for exploration. Zombie AI has been enhanced for more realistic and challenging encounters, and gunplay now includes knockback for added impact. The crafting menu has been improved to show locked recipes when you have at least one of their required ingredients. Visual updates include new leaf tree models, additional hairstyles and clothing types, and a refreshed game font. ​At the beginning of the year, I focused more on marketing the game, creating a trailer and a couple of devlogs. However, this doesn't mean there haven't been any additions to the game. There have been a few major changes. I got the root motion to work, which allowed me to create animations like rolling. I also made the UI more responsive and completely changed the enemy spawning.

Foul | January Update

In late november I have added humans who attack the player using either melee or ranged weapons. I have also polished the game with better UI and optimization since the demo version is now basically complete. Additionally, I’ve updated the Steam page's visuals and have almost finished the game trailer. However, the music producer has been struggling to deliver the music track for the game trailer, which has caused some delays.

Hey everyone! I’m excited to share the latest progress on the game as I've been working hard adding many new features for the demo release which will happen very soon! The latest update adds woodcutting and mining, new car, a mansion and a shed, healing items, new guns, crafting, new enemy, save/load functionality, better structure placement, wooden and stone walls, a revamped gas station, new clothes and hats, performance optimizations, settings and player creation menu.
