picoCAD tutorial for beginners
picoCAD is out on Steam!
The launch has gone really well with no hiccups or issues. Super stoked that so many people like lowpoly lowres models as much as I do! ☺️

Learning a new software can be difficult but don't worry - we've got your back!

Together with one of the more prolific picoCAD users, Ben Canfield, we've made a tutorial video that covers the basics of modelling in picoCAD. Take a look, it is well worth watching.

If you're eager to learn more, don't hesitate to go to https://picoCAD.net where you can find more tutorials, examples, and resources for your lowpoly builds.

Oh, and one more thing! Please consider giving picoCAD a review here on Steam. It helps a lot with visibility and reaching even more people who love crunchy pixels in 3D.

Al the best,
Johan

Pre-release hype and info

Tomorrow is the big day - picoCAD launches on Steam!

I couldn't have wished for a better ramp up to the launch, picoCAD is featured on the Popular Upcoming list and wishlists are pouring in! Yesterday we were well on our way to 8k. Amazing! Thank you so much for your interest in this little tool!

I made picoCAD to be able to make simple models for my own projects as it was impossible to find something that just made 3D modelling simple and easy. However, the program turned out more interesting to work with and became its own thing.

To see some really cool builds from the community, just head over to picoCAD.net to check out what's possible. Once picoCAD is out, this site will be packed with tutorials and great resources to get going.

Since picoCAD is built with pico8, it is rich with restrictions. My intention is that these will fuel creativity and make it even more fun to make small models. Should you need to break out of picoCAD's confinement - export to OBJ and take your project into any other 3D modeler!

I really hope that you will find the tight design space available in picoCAD a joy to work with.

See you tomorrow!
Johan

Last but not least, we've passed 5000 wishlists! I'd love if you could spend a minute and tell everyone you know about picoCAD and ask them to wishlist. Even if there is no intention to buy it, every wishlist increases the chance to get boosted by the Steam algorithm. Maybe we can even get to 6000? Thanks!
:D

Stay tuned!
