The Talos Principle: Reawakened News

Hey, puzzle lovers!

We've enjoyed seeing you jump into the demo and re-discover the great world of The Talos Principle. We were delighted to see you use the Puzzle Editor and set your creativity loose. Some of the puzzles in the Workshop are incredible, which is why we decided to put you all through a test. We’re excited to announce the very first Talos Principle Puzzle Jam!



[h2]How to Enter[/h2]

The rules are simple. All you need to do is create a puzzle using the Puzzle editor and submit it to the Steam Workshop. The puzzle title can be whatever you want, but make sure to use the [PUZZLE-JAM] prefix so it's easier for us to check out all submissions.

After you're done, Join our Discord server and post your submission in the Releases forum with the "Puzzle Jam" tag to confirm your entry.

For those unsure how to do any of this, we've prepared a handy Puzzle Editor guide available here.

1. Create a puzzle using the in-game Puzzle Editor.
   
2. Submit it to the Steam Workshop with a [PUZZLE-JAM] prefix.
   
3. Join our Discord Server
4. Post your submission in our Discord’s Releases forum forum with the[Puzzle Jam] tag to confirm your entry.
   

You can submit multiple puzzles, but each creator can only win one award.

Winners will be selected in two categories:

• Community Choice Award – Given to the top three puzzles with the highest ratings on the workshop.
  
• Croteam Choice Award – Selected by Croteam’s in-house puzzle designers. They’ll pick their favorite intriguing submissions and award two additional winner.
  

A single puzzle can win both awards!

It's a glorious day today, as we are ready to announce that The Talos Principle: Reawakened is launching on April 10. To make the wait easier, the demo version of the game will be available from now until the full launch for your enjoyment.

This demo gives you a sweet taste of what awaits you in the whole game and allows you to get a glimpse of the world we have rebuilt. More importantly, this demo features the fully featured Puzzle Editor, allowing you to create complete episodes with any number of levels.

Incredible user-generated content has been the backbone of our games for a long time. Our modding community gave birth to awesome experiences for everyone, and some of the most prominent modders have become integral parts of Croteam over the years.

As we shifted away from our proprietary engine to Unreal while developing The Talos Principle 2, we faced a challenging question: How do we continue empowering our talented community and allowing it to create incredible Talos experiences in the future? The answer was obvious: We only need a powerful built-in tool that removes all technical obstacles and allows our fans to focus on their creativity rather than learning how things work. How hard can it be, right?

In comes the Puzzle Editor. This powerful tool is available to everyone from the main menu and comes with full Workshop support. You can use it to create full episodes with any number of levels, puzzles, and mechanics. You can easily decorate your levels and switch seamlessly between ancient Roman, Egyptian, Medieval, and Alpine settings.

The demo Workshop is fully compatible with the one in the full game, so your efforts in this pre-launch period won't be lost. Create your puzzles and episodes now, then seamlessly transfer them to the main game once it launches on April 10.



Before you play, allow us to use this opportunity to announce a puzzle-jam community contest, which will start later this week once you’ve had a chance to familiarize yourself with the Puzzle Editor. Everyone will be invited to participate, and we’ll share all the details in a couple of days, so make sure to hang out here or on our Discord to hop right into it once it’s live.
