Ten years ago, we released This War Of Mine - a game we hoped would shed light on the devastating realities of war. A decade later, its somber message feels more urgent than ever.

While we cannot celebrate amidst ongoing conflicts, staying silent feels equally wrong.

That's why, on the exact anniversary of the game, we've introduced Charity DLC: #ForgetCelebrations. We are now ready to announce that it will launch on December 11th on Steam for $2.99.

All proceeds will support Liberty Ukraine Foundation, Amnesty International, War Child, and Indie Games Poland. We invite everyone to join us in making a difference.

  8. This War of Mine has earned a place in various prestigious exhibitions such as those at the Imperial War Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Hello everyone,

Today marks the 10th anniversary of This War of Mine. A decade since its release, the game’s mission to shed light on the civilian cost of war is far from over.

That’s why, very soon, the game will receive a new charity DLC, Forget Celebrations. In this new story, you’ll return to war-torn Pogoren to follow the story of Katia, a seasoned war correspondent. While struggling to write a book on the brutal realities of war, a missile attack devastates her home, forcing her into an even harsher fight for survival and the recovery of her gathered material.

All studio proceeds from #ForgetCelebrations will be donated to support our charity partners in this anniversary initiative: War Child, Amnesty International, Liberty Ukraine, and Indie Games Poland. Stay tuned to learn how you can make a difference.

After ten years, superb survival game This War of Mine is suddenly back

From Fallout to Baldur's Gate 3, Civilization to Cyberpunk 2077, a lot of the greatest PC games are based on the idea that your choices as a player really, truly matter. But nowhere is that more keenly felt than in This War of Mine, the unique, historical survival game first launched by Frostpunk 2 maker 11 bit way back in 2014. A fictionalized portrait of the Siege of Sarajevo, it makes the simple act of cooking a meal, putting wood on the fire, or even answering the door feel laden with consequences.
