v.0.86 is now live!

A couple of major changes this time around.

  • The Score/Bounty display counter previously to the left below your avatar has been replaced with a bounty/score bar beneath the Energy bar in the top left. This should be more intuitive when it comes to figuring out how much more bounty you need to reach your next level etc...
  • The Ready system from the Inventory screen after selecting an item, has been changed and decluttered. Instead of showing 8 different ready buttons there is now simply one READY button. Clicking this button then shows a new screen to select which slot you wish to assign the item to.

v0.85 Small UI Updates

A relatively minor update this morning. Changes:

  • A COIN display has been added to the Sell, Quick Sell and Tasks screens."
  • Fixed a bug in the new bar color flash system (0.84) that may have caused the bar to stay the flash color indefinitely.
  • Aconite (Combat Pet) has re-trained as a combat mage and now likes to go in front of you to get into the fray of things.
  • New system commands /faceoff and /faceon - turns facial icon animations for pets and yourself off or on (default is on), turning it off can yield performance gains.

v0.84 Interface and Gameplay Tweaks

Version 0.84 was released this morning and contained the following changes.

  • The COIN HUD display has been moved to the Inventory screen
  • When Damage is taken monster, player or pet flashes red and has a chance of being knocked back, the distance of knockback depends on the damage dealt.
  • Fixed a bug that double clicking a monster may not have executed SPACE attack as expected.
  • The HP and ENERGY bar text(s) now flash during regeneration.
  • Resource nodes now shake when you are using them.

v0.83 Performance Update and Fixes

A larger update than most, this contains a number of patches and bug fixes.

  • Holding down Shift key while taking a screenshot with F7 / F8 will disable darkness allowing for a much brighter image. Not holding down Shift will use the current lighting.
  • F7 and F8 now work during the loading screen and main menus without having a character loaded. Enabling you to capture more of the game for whatever reason.
  • Changed cleanup code for monster and map object clean up when exiting a map. In particular to resolve boulder traps not being properly destroyed.
  • The Hair Dye item now presents a screen allowing you to pick a new hair color. There are more selections available than the Character Creation screen.
  • The Storekeep at Frontiersville now also sells Skin Cream and an Eye Potion to allow you to change skin and eye coloring post character creation.
  • Using TAB to turn HUD off now sticks and remains off if you change maps. Previously it may have turned back on.
  • Various performance tweaks and changes to improve FPS in certain areas.
  • New /commands /cpu and /gpu (default) switch between CPU and GPU rendering. Useful if GPU rendering is not running as fast as possible.
  • Health and Energy regeneration no longer has a heart or pot fly from your character, there is now a more subtle animation

0.82 Now Available

v0.82 has now been pushed to the server.

Which includes the following additions and fixes:

  1. Fixed an issue with some inventory checks where the check for quantity might fail if the item name is mis-capitalized.
  2. Added a Stone Ring and Stone Belt craftable to the Crafting menu at Sanctum.
  3. Added a Buy, Sell and Tasks button to the new NPC at Sanctum.
  4. Made some aesthetic improvements to the BAC Base.
  5. Clicking on the avatar of a Tamed pet in the Pet Books wall in Sanctum will now summon the pet.
  6. Added the Obfuscation scroll/ability, using this power randomly changes your appearance to match one of the humanoid bosses you have killed or captured (resets when you use Obfuscation again or close and open the game).
