[INTERNAL MEMO] Management Overview Developments

[p]Greetings, Platform Managers! [/p][p]
With the full launch of Drill Core on July 17 fast approaching, the Board of Directors has generously allowed the R’n’D Department a brief break from their mandatory uncompensated overtime to share some of the upcoming developments you can expect from the full 1.0 release. These improvements are expected to allow for streamlined management of all mining contracts, and we look forward to seeing the expected increase in output from all Platform Managers.[/p][p][/p][p]Streamlined Resource Management [/p][p]
Whether you’re needing to upgrade your Turrets to handle those Aliens at night, or trying to upgrade your Technology so you can unlock a much-needed building, there are various reasons you may need to prioritize specific resources for your Workers to collect; and now, you’ll be able to! [/p][p]
Using the new Resource Management menu that will appear during your contracts, you will be able to select to prioritize specific resources globally for all Workers, making them easier to manage during your contracts.[/p][p][/p][p]In-Game Wiki [/p][p]
Platform Managers will now have access to the Drill Core Wiki entries for all Blocks and Aliens they encounter during a contract; simply holding down the Wiki button will allow you to access the specific entry for that Block or Alien type, allowing you to better-manage how your Miners and Guards respond to threats and challenges from unfamiliar sources. [/p][p]
We expect to see a significant increase in the profits of completed contracts due to the decreased loss of life in the wake of these changes! [/p][p]
[/p][p]Technology Management [/p][p]
Strategic Platform Management is an integral part of any successful mining contract, and the R’n’D Department is introducing a new mechanic that will make this easier than ever before; Platform Managers will now have the option to ban certain buildings from the Technology pool for the duration of a contract. This means those Buildings will no longer be an option, and you’ll be able to preserve your precious Technology Rerolls if there’s a Building you don’t feel will be useful for the particular contract you’re completing. [/p][p]Use this new option wisely, Platform Managers - once a Building has been banned, you won’t be able to use it for the duration of the contract! [/p][p]
[/p][p]Additional Management Improvements [/p][p]
Of course, the developments mentioned above are far from the full scope of everything Platform Managers can expect from the full 1.0 release; among the new features you’ll be able to enjoy on July 17 are 10 new qualifications, Turret Parameters which show various parameters depending on the Turret type like damage and range of Turrets before building, and the option to View Damage Numbers for your defenses on Aliens. [/p][p]
We’ll look forward to sharing the full range of changes with you when 1.0 launches on July 17th. [/p][p]
As always, we strongly encourage all Platform Managers to follow the corporate TikTok and Twitter accounts for a clear line of communication with Drill Core Inc., and also to take part in company-wide conversations on the corporate Discord server. [/p][p]
Moderate regards,
The Drill Core Inc. Board of Directors[/p][p]
