[TOP SECRET] NEW RACE OF WORKERS TO BE EMPLOYED

Greetings, Platform Managers!

The Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that, since going public, Drill Core Inc. has officially crossed the 500,000 contract milestone in terraforming operations across the galaxy! This achievement is a testament to the diligence and commitment of each and every one of you, our industrious employees, and it brings us one step closer to our vision of a fully monetized galaxy.

However, despite our success, we still see room for improvement in contract completion rates. With the influx of resources you've secured through relentless terraforming, we’ve acquired a strategic partnership with none other than the Dwarves of planet Explosia. The HR department assures us that hiring them was as easy as throwing a gem into a mine—they simply can’t resist digging for precious minerals. (Of course, a minor policy adjustment was required: they will be permitted to consume... refreshments during shifts. Your understanding is appreciated).

The rugged physiques and... explosive tendencies of these new recruits inspired R&D to design a brand-new Platform tailored to their unique needs. For your convenience, we’ve included a brief overview of their protocols below.

New Mining Technique

The Dwarves, with their boundless strength and notable impatience, have rejected traditional drills. Instead, they bring a more direct approach to mining by donning explosion-absorbing suits and deploying a steady supply of TNT. Need a specific area mined? Simply send in a Dwarf, who—embracing their role as a living bomb—will use TNT to obliterate any target zone.

Despite the obvious effectiveness of this approach, the downsides are also clear - you’ll dig everything around the explosion area, sometimes bringing unwanted attention. Moreover, in their stubborn commitment to traditions, dwarves refuse using anything more advanced than TNT. Therefore some blocks might require several detonations to gather resources.

New Guarding Operations

Clad in more metal than most industrial containers, Dwarven guards are practically mistaken for boulders by most nighttime creatures (though some colleagues claim this has more to do with their blood-alcohol content). These guards are active at night, using heavy-duty jetpacks to rise from the mines and defend the platform with unmatched zeal.

New buildings

Instead of regular barracks, dwarves are using more sturdy ones with lower ceilings. But the functionality stays the same. What sets them apart is that they despise regular human factories, and instead will use free space to create Magma Refineries. Those buildings is a manifestation of how… hungry for minerals the dwarves are, since those facilities will process all rocks from blocks destroyed by dwarven bombs in attempt to extract just a little bit of resources from stones other races would deem as useless waste.

That concludes R&D’s memo for now. Rest assured, more updates are planned for next month, with exciting innovations on the way.

We expect all formalities to be finished by December, so by that time you can expect your new employees and platforms to arrive by that month. Do not forget to join corporate Discord so you don’t miss the opportunity to sign up for participation in early platform tests!

With this addition, we’ll continue shaping the galaxy one core at a time, while maintaining a profitable balance of supply and demand. After all, we wouldn’t want our rates to fall due to an overabundance of services, now would we? 😉

With a bright vision for Drill Core Inc.’s future,
The Drill Core Inc. Board of Directors
