But that’s not all❣️ Alongside these Valentine’s treats, we’ve also made some gameplay improvements and bug fixes to enhance your chocolate-making experience. Check out what’s been tweaked and improved:
Changes and Additions 🛠️:
• Adjusted the camera position during warehouse customization to better showcase the storage area after adding the dispenser island.
• Improved item placement: some objects would wobble slightly instead of landing stably on the surface - colliders have been adjusted to fix this.
• The Measuring Cup (new precision container) can now hold more than one ingredient at a time.
• Jar interaction improvements: faster opening animation for both the new universal jar and the topping jar; fixed the position of the unscrewed lid.
• Adjusted the colliders on the dispenser drop points - they were too high, sometimes making it difficult to pick up containers.

Bug Fixes 🛠️:
• Fixed a bug where crystals were not being consumed during the tempering process in the Tempering Machine.
• Fixed an incorrectly displayed icon for Banana Ganache.
• Fixed a bug that prevented throwing the salt bag.
• Fixed missing outlines on funnels at the warehouse dispensers.
• Fixed flickering of icon labels displaying the contents of new jar containers.
• Fixed a bug that occured when using syringe with lidded containers - from now on, the container will always close properly after the interaction is finished.

Happy Valentine’s, chocolatiers! ❤️🍬

ROADMAP - Third Milestone Ready ✅ + Demo/Prologue Update
Hey, chocolate masters!
It’s time for the third update out of four from our roadmap! UPDATE III is now live, bringing even more improvements and exciting new features to Chocolate Factory Simulator! This update focuses on adding new objects to make gameplay smoother and improving existing mechanics and systems to enhance your chocolate empire.

But that’s not all – along with the full game update, we’re also releasing updates for the demo and prologue versions!
By the way… we hope your factory is ready for a little extra love because something special is just around the corner! 💌🍓

Check out what’s new in UPDATE III! 👇
Changes and Additions:
• Jar — a new container to store products and ingredients: Jars offer a 400g capacity, take up less shelf space than bowls, and are transparent, making it easier to identify their contents at a glance. Being a chocolatier-prepper just got simpler!
• Measuring Cup — a new container: The Measuring Cup is a special container that lets you set a maximum fill amount and then transfer ingredients into it without the risk of overfilling — even by just 1 gram! You can use this container to safely measure ingredients during chocolate production, ensuring you never have to worry about accidentally adding too much again. Achieving pharmacy-level precision in chocolate making has never been easier!
• Additional storage solution — the dispenser island: In a factory, it doesn’t matter how much free space you have; eventually, you’ll run out. To make storing your ingredients and products even easier, we’ve added a dispenser island that you can fill with anything you want: from base ingredients and chocolates to fillings and toppings.
• Changes to decoration boxes Old empty decoration boxes looked identical to full ones, making it difficult to tell them apart at a glance. From now on, an empty box will have a very noticeable visual change, making it impossible to confuse it with a full one.
• Improved identification of empty containers: The names of empty containers (whether a bowl or a cocoa bag) will now include the “(EMPTY)” tag, making them easier to identify.
• Clearer empty container indicator: To make it easier to recognize empty containers (whether it’s a bowl or a cocoa bag that’s out of cocoa), we’ve changed the color of the “Empty” status displayed in the Additional Info window when hovering over an item. It is now a bright, eye-catching red for better visibility.
• Shop UI improvements: With so many upgrades and modifications available in the shop, it can sometimes get overwhelming — you might not remember what you already own and what you still need. To help with this, the shop will now display a warning marker on any machine or Nougat upgrade you already own, ensuring you don’t accidentally spend your hard-earned money on duplicates.
• Added Container Recipe Assistance: We’ve introduced additional assistance for working with containers. Now, a pinned sticky note with a recipe can be “linked” to a container. This lets you compare the container’s contents in real-time with the recipe you’re making. The sticky note tracks three key factors: ingredient amount (icon in the top-left corner), grinding level (icon in the top-right corner), and container temperature (icon in the top-left corner, above the required temperature range). We hope this makes working with pots and other containers much easier!
• New music track: We heard that you love the music in Chocolate Factory and can’t get enough of it, so we’ve prepared another banger for you! The new track has been added to the music pool and will now randomly play during gameplay.
• Major UI overhaul for the Book: The Book has received a visual overhaul to make it even more readable and user-friendly.
• Reduced cost of the first wall customization variant in each room: At the start of your chocolate-factory adventure, money is crucial and shouldn’t be wasted on fancy wallpapers and parquet floors (despite what Nougat might try to convince you). Spending half of your budget on factory design may not be the wisest decision, so the cost of the first wall customization variant in each available room has been lowered.
• Improved volume sliders in the options menu: Everything should now properly adjust when increasing or decreasing volume levels.

Bug Fixes:
• Removed misleading “No interaction” message from the airship: Then you tried to pick up a package from the airship you were greeted by a misleading “No interaction” tooltip. This was due to no available action for the primary input (LMP by default) despite having been able to pick up the package using the secondary input (RMB by default). This message has been removed.
• Fixed decoration list scrolling bug: Fixed an issue where scrolling through the decoration list using the scroll wheel was sometimes not possible if the mouse cursor was hovering over a an item in the list.
DEMO / PROLOGUE PATCH NOTES:
Bug Fixes:
• Fixed resolution settings on Steam Deck:** Previously on first launch, Steam Deck would automatically set a very low resolution, causing text to scale poorly and become completely unreadable. This issue should no longer occurs, and the game should now function properly on Steam Deck. We will continue to improve SteamDeck compatibility in future updates.
And remember – there’s still one more update left on our roadmap! Stay tuned for more sweet surprises, and let us know what you think of the latest changes! 🚀🍬
See you soon,

ROADMAP - Second Milestone Ready ✅

Hey, Players! 👋
Your factory just got even more intuitive and user-friendly because UPDATE II has arrived in Chocolate Factory Simulator! 🏭✨ This time, we focused on enhancing the clarity of various gameplay elements, making managing your chocolate empire smoother and more enjoyable! 🚀

Thanks to your feedback, we’ve refined key aspects of the game to make everything clearer and easier to understand – and this is just the beginning! 💡

Check out what’s new in UPDATE II! 👇
Changes and Additions:
• New level 2 and level 3 pots: Hand-make higher-quality products than it was ever possible with level 1 pot - create recipes that were once exclusive to the Melanger: such as ruby and vegan chocolate! These new pots feature improved heat conduction, allowing them to heat up and cool down faster. They also make it harder to burn ingredients.
• Added new requirements for chocolate in orders: From now on, in medium nad hard orders, there is a chance that the customer will request chocolate bars in a specific shape (like for example hearts or circles).
• Added the ability to use small bowls with the Melanger: From now on, the Melanger can also pour into small bowls.
• Changed the way bowls interact with the Melanger: From now on, it will no longer be possible to pick up bowls from underneath the Melanger while it is still pouring. Previously, the absence of this restriction allowed the player to block the bowl’s interaction, making it, for example, impossible to draw filling from it with a syringe.
• Changes to the order evaluation process: Some requirements are now more important than other. For example factors like chocolate shape of quality are more important than a single decoration of a slight difference in filling amount. So now the orders will be judged by customers in a more real-world fashion, making it more forgiving for small issues at the same time looking closer for major differences in what the client ordered and what they revived.
• Container fill level visualization: Added a fill indicator to dispenser refill bags, so now you can much easier determine whether the refill bag in your inventory is full or empty.
• Changes to the stirring system: The behavior of the spatula when stirring in a pot was adjusted. The core mechanics remain unchanged from a technical standpoint, but visually, it should now look more engaging.
• Improved controls - accessibility (click-to-use): We've added "Smart Interaction" for machine controllers (levers, sliders, valves, etc.), which can now be used in two ways: (1) The familiar method – Approach a machine controller, interact with it, and while holding the button, adjust the value. Releasing the button ends the interaction. (2) New method – Now, you no longer need to hold the mouse or controller button while using a machine controller. A single click starts the interaction, allowing you to release the button and adjust the value using mouse movement, the controller stick, or the WSAD keys (more on that below). Another single click will then confirm and exit the interaction.
• Improved controls - accessibility (alternative controls): Added the ability to operate machine controllers (such as valves and levers), tools (such as the ratchet wrench or spatule) and even pouring things using the keyboard (WSAD by default).
• Improved gamepad controls on design tables: Added missing buttons (Clone and Snap to Grid). Additional Quality of Life improvements, such as the ability to scroll through the decoration list using the scroll wheel without simultaneously zooming in/out on the decoration view.
• UI improvements to the Book - current order improvements: Added a short message with details about the current order to the Recipe page, so you no longer have to constantly close the book to check the blackboard in the Production Hall or switch to the Orders tab to remind yourself which chocolate you've accepted an order for.
• UI improvements to the Book - Recipes page improvements: The "How to make it?" section in the Recipes tab still didn't catch the attention enough, and made the process for preparing ruby and vegan chocolate to problematic. To address this, pulsating "i" icons were added to this section to draw more attention.
• Made the Melanger a little easier to use: We expanded the range in which the game recognizes the Melanger Bowl as being upright. Previously, it had to be perfectly vertical, but now we've added a few degrees of leeway.
• Improved controls - sensitivity: Increased the sensitivity of certain controllers - for example pestle, spatula or Melanger wheel reel - making them easier to operate.
• Improved interactions with drop spots in the Tempering Machine and Dispensers: Colliders should no longer clip through containers placed there.
• Added the ability to disable the throwing out item confirmation window: You can now disable the popup window that asks if you're sure you want to throw something away in the settings.
• First phase of optimization completed: Game optimization is an ongoing process. We have now completed the first phase of optimizations. Some of the changes from this phase were already included in Update 1, and based on player feedback, we can see improvements. The first phase mainly focused on audio-visual aspect of the game, including model and textures optimization as well as proper compression of music and sound effects. This is not our final word on this topic - we are now moving into the next phase, and we will provide updates on further improvements in future game updates.

Bug Fixes:
• Nougat got a little confused... A misleading and unnecessary dialog from Nougat, where he mentioned a topping order during the mission to learn chocolate tempering, has been removed... and Nougat received yet another warning.
• Fixed resolution settings on Steam Deck: Previously on first launch, Steam Deck would automatically set a very low resolution, causing text to scale poorly and become completely unreadable. This issue should no longer occurs, and the game should now function properly on Steam Deck. We will continuing to improve SteamDeck compatibility in future updates.

More improvements are on the way! We’re already working on the next updates to make your chocolate factory even better. Let us know what you think of these changes – your feedback is invaluable! 🎮🍬

See You Soon!
Chocolate Factory Simulator Team

Hotfix 1.1.41
Hotfix 1.1.41
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the player to get stuck in an interaction (like tightening screws with the ratchet wrench or stirring ingredients in a pot with a spatula) if they interrupted it using the ESC key instead of the dedicated action.
• Fixed strange behaviors with decorations and decoration boxes. Boxes were sometimes not correctly detected despite having the required number of decorations. In some cases, they also lost the ability to be properly placed down. The number of decorations was sometimes incorrectly counted while decorating chocolate at the decorating table, resulting in negative values being displayed for the number of decorations that could still be placed on the chocolate bar.

ROADMAP - First Milestone Ready ✅
Hey Chocolate Masters! 🍫

We’ve got something truly special for you! Today, we’re excited to announce that UPDATE I has just been released as part of our roadmap. 🥳

This is just the beginning of some amazing changes that will take your factory to the next level! 🚀

We’re super pumped to share these new features and improvements with you. Every hour we put into developing this game is dedicated to helping you feel like true chocolate masters! 🍫💪

Stay tuned for more updates, as this is just the beginning! But for now, without further delay – check out what's new in "UPDATE I"! 👇
Changes, improvements and additions:
• Added a visual aid for setting up the Melanger: The Melanger is a complex machine with numerous valves, levers, and other moving parts, but adjusting all these controls to the correct values is the only way to properly prepare chocolates, fillings and other sweet products. To make this proces easier, we've added a system that checks your Melanger's settings based on the currently pinned recipe. To use it, simply pin the chosen recipe, then walk up to the Melanger and use the "Toggle machine parameters helper" interaction ("E" key by default). Icons will appear in the critical parts of the Melanger, indicating whether the temperature, power, and consistency settings are correct for the pinned repecie.
• Order cancellation feature added: You can now cancel active orders by interacting with the phone. A new window allows order cancellation if conditions permit (for example mission-related orders cannot be canceled).
• Reputation system adjustments: You can no longer drop below current reputation level, ensuring progression is not blocked or severely slowed. Reputation points will still be deducted for rejected or failed orders, but the overall reputation level (stars) will remain unchanged. For example, once the Topping Container is unlocked in the Shop, it will stay available for purchase even after multiple failures leading to a significant loss of reputation points.
• Recipe search functionality added: A search field has been added to the "Recipes" tab, allowing players to search for recipes by name. This search bar is located on the left page of the Book, similar to the Store tab.
• Enhanced popups and encyclopedia entries: Added many new popups and encyclopedia entries to better explain main game mechanics. Some notable examples include: Heater, Interior Designer and all decorating and designing stations. Disclaimer: All the newly added popups and entries are part of the ongoing proces of improving the clarity and understandability of the game's mechanics. However, since this proces is still ongoing and we are working on further improvements. You feedback is appreciated in this regards.
• Nougat has learned that silence is gold: Nougat realized that not everyone is interested in his lively commentary while tightening screws or carrying coal, so from now on he'll perform his tasks in silence.
• Unlocking popups then a machine is unlocked: Popups for the Melanger, Tempering Machine, and Topping Machine will now appear when the machine is unlocked (whenthe cover is removed) instead of when a quest step is completed.
• Improved readability of the blackboard: The fields on the board have been colored, grouped, and rearranged to make order details even clearer and individual items on the boards easier to distinguish from each other.
• Container fill level visualization: A fill level bar has been added to each container in inventory slots, providing a quick overview of which containers are empty and which still contain ingredients.
• Improved decoration box functionality: Decorations will now be taken first from the least filled box to optimize inventory management.
• Enhanced chocolate status visibility: Chocolate statuses (Tempered, Crystallized, and Suitable for filling) now feature more distinct colors to highlight their importance. Additionally, the status "Suitable for filling" has been renamed to "Can be filled" to avoid confusion.
• Mortar content display enhancements: A new window showing the contents and grinding level is now visible while grinding with the pestle. As a result, notifications about grinding level changes have been removed.
• Nougat has improved at distinguishing different objects: He's now so good at it that he can tell large bowls from small ones - he will no longer bring the first one he finds nearby (unless you don't mind, in which case you can still ask for "Any" bowl). Additionally, he will now look for empty bowls first.
• Adjusted the colliders of many objects: Items (like bags, cans, bowls etc) now occupy less space, making it easier to place them closer to each other.
• Improved vending machine sound effects: A new sound has been added for chocolate sale notifications. The previous sound will now only play when there is exactly one chocolate left or the machine becomes empty. Additionally, the audible range of the Vending Machine sounds has been adjusted.
• Better tooltip visibility for machines: Tooltips for the Docking Station and Press have been raised to enhance visibility during interactions.
• Improved the chocolate tempering system: The upper temperature range for tempering didn't always work correctly. Now, tempering should function properly, regardless of whether the chocolate is tempered using a pot, the Melanger, or the Tempering Machine.
• Improvements to Press upgrades: Missing sound effects have been added to both the filling spots and filling tank, as well as a popup that appears on the first unsuccessful filling attempt (when the pressure from the syringe gets too high, the indicator goes into the red zone and the safety valve triggers).
• Recipe sorting improvements: Recipes in the Book are now sorted by category and name for easier navigation.
• Updated decoration box names and descriptions: Decoration box names no longer include the maximum number of decorations - which caused confusion when the content changed but the name stayed the same (object names are constant). Content quantity value has been moved to item's description to clarify that it does not represent the current quantity.
• Skip! Skip! Added the ability to skip dialogs (by default using the spacebar).
• Improvements to the keybinding system: The keybinding system has been refined, and you can now reassign more buttons. Additionally, several new inputs have been added to the game, so it's worth taking another look at the settings and possibly updating or customizing them to your preference.
• Added an "Under Construction" notifications: Due to ongoing work on translations and the encyclopedia entries, we've added reminders in certain places: in the Main Menu, the Pause Menu, and as a popup when the game is first launched. Any shortcomings in the translations are temporary and will be fixed soon. We believe it's better to have more accurate and clearer descriptions of the game mechanics, even if there may be minor stylistic errors.
• Updated mission requirements: The chocolate tempering task previously required 80g of chocolate mass, while the mission stated 100g. To align with the actual requirement, the mission now correctly specifies 80g.

Bug Fixes:
• Fixed a bug that caused Nougat not to perform interactions with an item if the player was holding an item of the same type in their hands or had one in the inventory. In Nougat's little robotic brain it didn't register that there could be more than one item of the type "cocoa bag" or "large bowl". He's undergone the necessary training and learned to differentiate objects better.
• Fixed a bug that sometimes made it impossible to interact with items dropped on the ground by Nougat. We've taught him not to break other people's things, and that if he borrows something he should return it in no worse condition than when he took it.
• Fixed a bug causing the buttons in Nougat's command menu to sometimes change their order, making them appear incorrectly sorter.
• Fixed multiple issues related to pouring container contents into the Melanger or trash chute by Nougat, addressing problems such as pouring incorrect or imprecise amounts.
• Nougat will no longer interrupt player interactions with valves, levers, or pouring actions when finishing his own operations.
• Fixed the incorrect description of the Wafer Box in the Shop.
• Resolved an issue where the Blip could occasionally get stuck hovering over the balcony when arriving to pick up an order.
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the "PERFECT!" status to be awarded incorrectly during order evaluation - it was based solely on the first chocolate instead of the entire order.
• Fixed a bug causing the Vending Machine to stop selling after a single chocolate sale.
• Corrected the "Main Page" tab in the Book, which was not highlighted properly on the first opening.
• Fixed an issue where the purchase sound effect would play when using the Interior Designer machine, even if no purchase was made.
• Resolved a bug where the customization purchase task in the Interior Designer machine was marked as completed even if the player only browsed options without buying.
• Fixed visual glitches occurring on some factory elements after exiting the Interior Designer machine.
• Addressed performance drops caused by the initial playback of music tracks.
• Fixed a bug causing duplicate and unnecessary fields to appear in the "Possible upgrades" section of the Tempering Machine info window.
• Fixed a bug that prevented putting decorations in certain parts of elliptical chocolates (the apparent no available space for decorations on the chocolate's edges).
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused texts on the room name signs to flicker.
• Fixed particle color for pouring heavy cream effect. They should no longer look as though the heavy cream is far past its expiration date.
And finally… remember, it’s you who’s helping shape this game with us! Your feedback, ideas, and passion are what make Chocolate Factory Simulator better and better. 🍫✨
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts, and we’re already getting started on the next sweet updates! 🎮🍬
