Roadmap & Major Update (1.1.5.7)
Dear Pet Shop Keepers,
[p]Thank you for your ongoing support and for sharing your feedback. We read your comments and reports every day, and they help shape Exotica 2. The game keeps getting better because of the ideas you share.[/p][p]Today, we’re releasing a major update and sharing our roadmap below. It shows where we’re headed and the features we’re working on now.
[/p][p][/p][p]Today’s update also brings the first feature from our roadmap: Quick Sell. This helpful addition makes it easier to manage excess animals and overstocked products, and it’s just the beginning of what’s to come.[/p][p]Exotica 2 keeps growing and improving thanks to your feedback. We’ll keep listening, making changes, and building the game together with you. Thank you for your support. More updates are coming soon.[/p][p][/p]

Game Update (1.1.5.7)

ADDED
• [p]Quick Sell has been added to the game. You can now sell surplus animals you’ve bred, as well as accidentally over-ordered products and animals, at the same price:[/p]
• [p]Items inside cardboard boxes[/p]
• [p]Habitats inside cardboard boxes[/p]
• [p]Purchased animals (while in boxes or transport carriers)[/p]
• [p]Animals inside habitats[/p]
• [p]Food, accessories, and sellable habitats[/p]
• [p]Key bindings are now saved.[/p]
• [p]A warning message has been added to prevent placing some large fish species into small aquariums.[/p]
• [p]The warehouse worker will now also stock sellable habitats on shelves, just like they already do with food and accessories.[/p]
FIXED
• [p]Snake prices were being calculated too high in terminal orders.[/p]
• [p]The prices of hamsters and hamster wheels were resetting after closing and reopening the game.[/p]
• [p]Screen shifting occurred during snake breeding when collecting baby snakes.[/p]
• [p]During the snake egg-cutting process, pressing Enter at the end of the day caused the mouse to disappear, preventing the Apply button from being pressed and the egg-cutting screen from closing.[/p]
• [p]Ending the day with the Enter key after cutting snake eggs was not working.[/p]
• [p]The player camera shift caused by the egg-cutting camera has been fixed.[/p]
• [p]The issue with employees shifting on the X and Y coordinates has been fixed.[/p]
• [p]An issue where the Switcher assigned lights incorrectly during loading has been fixed.[/p]
• [p]Dogs selected and ordered via the terminal were coming in a single color; they now arrive in random colors.[/p]
• [p]A dramatic FPS drop and freezing occurred when the warehouse worker was querying tasks.[/p]
• [p]When products were missing from shelves or boxes needed to be placed, the warehouse worker would wander randomly; this has been reduced, and workers now query tasks directly.[/p]
CHANGES
• [p]New Wishlist Creation[/p]
• [p]When creating a new customer wishlist, animals are always prioritized.[/p]
• [p]If any animal is for sale in the shop, the customer will always request that animal and its related products.[/p]
• [p]The system checks each animal type available in the shop and selects them in order.[/p]
• [p]For each selected animal type, the system checks all available subspecies and adds them to the wishlist sequentially.[/p]
• [p]Example:[/p]
• [p]Your shop has Freshwater Fish, Marine Fish, Parrot, and Lizard.[/p]
• [p]These animal types are selected one by one, in order.[/p]
• [p]When Parrot is selected:[/p]
• [p]Scarlet Macaw[/p]
• [p]Blue-and-yellow Macaw[/p]
• [p]African Grey (Jako)[/p]
• [p]This continues until all animal types and their subspecies are selected.[/p][p](Previously, all animals were checked, one was selected randomly, and the wishlist was created based on that random choice.)[/p]
• [p]Removed widgets from product names to improve performance. Product names are no longer shown on labels because some fonts do not work well in other languages. Now, only the product image and price appear on labels. Product names still show at the bottom-left of the screen. This change affects products on store shelves, boxes on warehouse shelves, and boxes received through orders.[/p]
• [p]The maximum number of animals you can place outdoors has been lowered in the settings.[/p]
• [p]A $25,000 loan option is now available. [/p]
[p][/p]

Thank you for your support. More updates are coming soon!
Game Update | 1.1.5.6

[p]Another update was made to the storage workers:[/p]
• [p]Some players were unable to enter the game, and others reported freezes on startup due to the setting we implemented to fix the blur issue for players with 4GB of VRAM. A fix has now been applied for both cases.[/p]
• [p]The warehouse worker’s reference-loss issue has been resolved. [/p]
• [p]The issue where free-roaming animals couldn’t find the feeding bowl has been fixed.[/p]
• [p]While the warehouse worker was carrying a box, it would fall into the trash bin as they passed by, causing the worker’s reference to be lost. When the worker went in front of the stand, they would get stuck on the warehouse shelf because of the missing reference. (Fixed) [/p]
• [p]The warehouse worker would get stuck because they couldn’t reach boxes outside the navigation area. (Fixed) [/p]
• [p]When the cashier removed a product from the shelf, the item count wasn’t reduced correctly, so the shelf still appeared to have the product, even though the internal data showed zero. (Fixed) [/p]
• [p]When workers encountered an obstacle at their destination, we forced them to move to the closest navigable point so they could continue their task. [/p]

Game Update | 1.1.5.1

• [p]Fixed an issue where store points were not granted for boxes thrown into the trash.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where the warehouse worker would not return items to the storage shelf if the product slot was marked as full and a tag was present.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where removing the tag from a tagged but empty product slot would delete the tag but not the product data, preventing placement of other products.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a duplication issue in habitats where pressing the "Take" button on tagged slots with zero products would recreate the item. [/p]

Game Update | 1.1.5

[p]Your feedback shapes Exotica 2, and we are always listening. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and helping us make the game even better.[/p][p][/p][p]Changelog | 1.1.5[/p]
Added
• [p]Added separate auto-save handling. Auto-saves no longer overwrite manual saves, and they are now shown in a separate area.[/p]
• [p]Added a model for the cat scratching accessory inside the box.[/p]
• [p]Added product tags to shelves (highly requested)[/p]
• [p]Products placed on shelves now display their tags.[/p]
• [p]On the “F” price-setting screen, a checkbox lets you lock or unlock the tag.[/p]
• [p]If the tag is unlocked, it will be removed when the shelf slot becomes empty.[/p]
• [p]Added extended warehouse worker behavior related to tagged shelves:[/p]
• [p]Workers remember locked tags and restock shelves from the warehouse, even if the shelf is empty.[/p]
• [p]If a tag is not locked and at least one item remains on the shelf, the worker will still restock it.[/p]
• [p]Locked tags always have higher priority.[/p]
• [p]Warehouse workers now also move sellable habitats from the warehouse to sales shelves, using the same tag priority logic.[/p]
• [p]Added the ability to speed up workers by paying $5, allowing them to move faster.[/p]
• [p]Added four new interior decoration items: potted plants. Images will be provided.[/p]
[p][/p]
Fixed
• [p]Fixed low-resolution texture issues on systems with 4GB VRAM.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where customers could not reach their spot because of obstacles. Customers will now briefly wait before moving to checkout if blocked.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where unlocked animals appeared as locked in the market when switching tabs.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where baby snakes from snake habitats would change species when placed on the ground.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a placement issue with the light switch.[/p]
Changed
• [p]Changed worker task redistribution time from 10 minutes to 5 minutes.[/p]
• [p]Changed pricing behavior: a 1.2× profit margin is now applied to sold products even before entering a new price.[/p]
• [p]Changed the footprint removal rate on the ground from 30% to 10%.[/p]
[p][/p]

In the Next Update
• [p]Customer request lists will no longer follow a fixed animal-type order. Requests will instead be generated based on the animal types available in your store.[/p]
• [p]Quick Sell feature: A Quick Sell button will be added for each product.[/p]

Game Update | 1.1.4

[p]Hello![/p][p]A new update is here, bringing further improvements to the Employee system. [/p][p][/p]

[p]Note from developers: As the number of animals in your store increases, so does the workload for employees. Make sure to hire enough employees and assign them in a balanced way. A single employee may not be sufficient in larger, busier stores.[/p]

[p][/p][p]Changelog | 1.1.4[/p]
Added
• [p]Added a new employee task-check system. Employees now perform checks every 10 minutes and reassign their tasks accordingly.[/p]
Updated
• [p]Updated the employee food container model.[/p]
• [p]Updated snake and iguana models: oversized box variants have been resized to the correct scale.[/p]
Fixed
• [p]Fixed an issue where hamster wheel stock was not counted correctly.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where experience and breeding booster feeds did not work when animal satiety was at 100%.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where customers were not requesting cat beds.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where free-roaming animals were not eating.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where employees could get stuck on food bowls.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where aquarium information icons were not updating individually.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where free-roaming animals were not eating.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where warning messages for outdoor animals running out of food did not specify which animal and which type of food was required.[/p]
