New Release Window, Brand New Screenshots and UE5 Interview
[p]Citizens of Arkham,[/p][p][/p][p]Today, we want to share an important update about where development stands and where it’s heading next.[/p][p][/p]
New Release Window
[p][/p][p]As many of you know, we’d been aiming to launch The Sinking City 2 in 2025. After extensive internal discussions, we’ve made the decision to move the release into the first half of 2026.[/p][p]Developing a game during an ongoing war continues to bring challenges that are difficult to predict – from drone and missile strikes to the incoming power outages and the constant need to adapt to unstable conditions. These realities inevitably slow our pace, and rather than rushing to meet a date that no longer makes sense, we’re choosing to take the time needed to finish the game properly and deliver it at the quality you deserve.[/p][p]That extra time is also helping us refine our first-ever survival horror experience. Transitioning from decades of investigative adventure design to a genre built on tension, pacing, combat, and atmosphere has been both exciting and demanding. Every system, every sound, and every shadow matters, and we want to make sure each of them feels right when you finally step into Arkham again.[/p][p][/p]
New Work-in-Progress Screenshots
[p][/p][p]To mark this stage in development, we’re sharing 13 new work-in-progress screenshots that offer a deeper look at The Sinking City 2.[/p][p][/p][carousel]![]()

We also touch on the cinematic and literary inspirations behind the tone, and how UE5’s MetaHuman, Lumen, and Nanite technologies are helping us push realism, lighting, and atmosphere further than ever before.[/p][p][/p]
Read the full interview
[p][/p][p]As we move deeper into production, you can expect to see much more from us. In the coming months, we’ll share new gameplay, behind-the-scenes insights, and updates on how development is progressing.[/p][p]This is also the first time we’ve run private beta tests with our community so early in the process, and the feedback we’ve received has been invaluable in helping us refine everything from pacing to combat flow.[/p][p]We’ve been quieter publicly while focusing on listening, testing, and improving. But now, we’re ready to start showing more of what we’ve been building – and to let you see just how far the game has come.[/p][p]Thank you for your patience and continued support. It means the world to our team. Taking this extra time ensures that The Sinking City 2 becomes everything we’ve envisioned from the start: tense, atmospheric, and deeply unsettling in all the right ways.[/p][p][/p][p]With love, [/p][p]Frogwares Team[/p][p][/p]

[p][/p][p]Stay connected: [/p][p]Twitter [/p][p]YouTube [/p][p]TikTok [/p][p]Discord[/p]
