All Scars and Starlight News

Hello everyone! I've been working on this project for a while, and I'm proud to announce that I've released some DLC for my grimdark boys 'love' visual novel, All Scars and Starlight.



Scars is a BL story about a king whose throne was stolen from him in a coup, and the romance(?) which unfolds between the deposed king and his captor. As one might expect from the premise, it's rather grim, the characters have an incredibly unhealthy relationship dynamic, and there's a lot of drama. This is also an r18 visual novel with a fair amount of explicit scenes, so it is not appopriate for anybody under the age of 18.



The DLC adds about 80,000 words extra to the story, and it takes place one year after the 'good' and 'true' endings, but before the timeskip to the epilogues of both endings. To read the bonus chapter, you need to update the base game, buy the DLC, then read through either the 'good' or 'true' ending. You should be able to access the DLC after that.

Please note: you will need to clear these two endings again, even if you achieved them once already, because I had to edit the code of the game a little to allow for the DLC to unlock.

This post is exactly what it says on the tin. I wrote a bonus chapter set in the All Scars and Starlight universe uhhh... Not last year, actually, because that would be 2025 (wow, time flies), but in late 2024, because I thought there were a few more interesting things I could explore in this universe.

The bonus chapter was meant to be on the shorter side, but I got carried away and it wound up being around 100,000 words, making it a full-length story in its own right haha...

I liked this chapter enough that I decided to turn it into a visual novel, so I got to work editing the script (I was able to trim it down to 80,000 words) and commissioning assets.

This bonus content is now finished, and it's been fully coded. I'm just waiting to get it proofread, but after that, it'll be all done! Yay!

The new content is set in the large timeskip which takes place between the end of the main story and the epilogues of the good/'true' ending. It takes place about one year after the events of Scars proper, and it details Yuel and Tavi's developing (or disintegrating?) relationship during Yuel's captivity.

The story features a lot of mental breakdowns, trauma, tears, and all that good stuff. Plus, Tavi's mother actually makes an appearance, and Tavi spends most of the story slowly losing his mind, so that's fun!

I wasn't sure how to release the bonus content initially, but I decided it would make the most sense to release it as paid DLC on Steam which needs the base VN to run. The bonus chapter will make no sense if you haven't read All Scars and Starlight first, so releasing it on its own seemed a bit unintuitive, and the bonus content is too long and has too many unique art assets to release it for free.

I'm hoping to release the bonus content before the end of the month, but we'll see how long it takes to be proofread. The DLC has been approved for release by Valve already, so I'll be able to release it the moment it's done.

Hi everyone,

Quick post to let you know that my cute new BL visual novel Where the Heart Rests has been released. It's a wholesome slice of life story inspired by the anime Usagi Drop. It's about a couple of men who adopt a young child. There's a lot of domestic fluff here, and some yearning between the two adult leads. The romantic relationship is a bit of a slowburn, and it's kind of lowkey.

There's also a fair bit of hurt/comfort here because I think it's cute!

This should be a nice read for people who like cosy and cute romance stories with relatively low stakes and some light drama.

Hello everybody,

I'm making an announcement to let you know that Beneath the Bleeding Moon has (finally) been released!



I first showed off the demo of this VN 2 years ago, so getting it across the finish line was a bit of a challenge haha ;; I persevered, however, and now the full visual novel is out!

Bleeding Moon is a historical boys' love visual novel set in Japan. Follow Haru, a cross-dressing young man, as he goes on a journey with the devious thief, Kishou, to break an ancient curse.

Bleeding Moon is a little different from my usual visual novels in that it's less of a character drama and more of an adventure story. There's quite a few fight scenes, and it's (generally) light-hearted in tone, though there are a few darker moments.



There's also an r18 patch for anybody who wants it, which adds about 20k more words to the story and several animated(!!!) r18 scenes. This is the first time I've added animated adult CGs into any of my VNs, so I hope people enjoy it.

I'm making a quick post to let you know that I've uploaded a shiny new build of this game onto Steam! This build fixes a fun and exciting variety of typos which were pointed out by various readers on my Discord sever.
