[p]Hey survivor! [/p][p][/p][p]To enjoy MIMESIS, you’ll need a microphone connected to your PC.[/p][p][/p][p]For the best experience, we recommend using a mic directly plugged into your computer. Please avoid using sound-effect software or audio interfaces that modify your voice.[/p][p][/p][p]First, prepare your mic and connect it to your PC. (Connection methods may vary depending on your mic model or setup, so check your device manufacturer’s instructions.)[/p][p][/p][p]If you’re using a Bluetooth mic, connect it through your PC’s Bluetooth settings following the manufacturer’s guide.[/p][p][/p][h3]Check your in-game settings[/h3][p]1. Go to the Settings menu after launching the game.[/p][p]2. Make sure the correct mic is selected as your input device. (If you have multiple mics, test by switching between them!)[/p][p][/p][p]3. When you speak, check if the input bar moves. (If you’re using push-to-talk, hold the button while testing.)[/p][p][/p][p]If the mic bar doesn’t react, try checking the following[/p][p][/p][h3]Quick checklist[/h3][p]- Make sure your mic is properly connected.[/p][p]- Make sure microphone permissions are enabled.[/p][p]Windows 10: Settings > Privacy > Microphone → Turn on “Allow apps to access your microphone.”[/p][p]Windows 11: Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone → Turn on “Microphone access” and allow your game to use it.[/p][p]Microsoft Support Link[/p][p]- Please run the “Windows Voice Recorder” app among the Windows apps, and then try playing the game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Disable Exclusive Mode [/h3]

1. [p]Go to Start → Settings → System → Sound.[/p]
2. [p]Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “More sound settings.” (This opens the classic Sound window — the same one previously found in Control Panel.)[/p]
3. [p]Select Your Playback Device. In the Playback tab, select your active audio device (e.g. Speakers or Headphones) and click Properties.[/p]
4. [p]Turn Off Exclusive Mode. In the Advanced tab, under Exclusive Mode, uncheck both of the following options:[/p][p]"Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"[/p][p]"Give exclusive mode applications priority"[/p]
5. [p]Click Apply, then OK.[/p]

[p][/p][p][/p][h3]Windows 11 Settings:[/h3][p]Start > Settings > System > Sound → Scroll to Input[/p][p][/p][p]Check that the correct mic is selected.[/p][p]If you have multiple devices (like a webcam mic), make sure the right one is active.[/p][p]Use the Test Mic button to confirm it’s working.[/p][p][/p][h3]Windows 10 Settings:[/h3][p]Right-click the speaker icon on the taskbar → “Open Sound Settings” → Go to the “Recording” tab.[/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p]Check if your mic has a check mark. If not, right-click it and choose “Set as Default Device.”[/p][p]Speak into the mic and see if the bar moves.[/p]
