[p]Hello Wild Ones![/p][p]It's time for Wild Assault Dev Log. This week, we’re unveiling a highly anticipated highlight—the development progress of a new map![/p][p][/p]
Overall Progress: Final Phase Initiated
[p]As of yesterday, the fifth map has completed its basic packaging and officially entered the final testing and polishing stage! This means Wild Assault is about to welcome another strategic battlefield.[/p][p]True to our promise, each map aims to deliver a distinct combat experience. From early maps emphasizing "open-world exploration," "terrain-based tactics," "multi-level platform combat," to "linear assault rhythms," this time—vertical terrain tactics will be the core soul of the new map![/p][p][/p]
Theme & Core Mechanics: Vertical Warfare in the Snowy Mountains
[p]Valiant will venture into high-altitude snowy mountains, battling amidst icy cliffs, harsh winds, and treacherous terrain.[/p][p][/p][p]Core Gameplay:[/p][p]•Vertical Terrain Advantage: Height differences will be key to attack/defense—holding high ground can suppress enemies but may also expose you to multi-directional assaults.[/p][p]•Multi-Route Design: The map offers numerous attack and flanking paths, enriching tactical choices and demanding tighter team coordination.[/p][p]•Environmental Interactivity: Rock walls, snowdrifts, and natural cover can be used for tactical evasion or surprise attacks.[/p][p][/p]
Zone Breakdown: Three Zones, Three Rhythms
[p]Zone A[/p][p]Terrain Features: Uneven ground + natural rock cover[/p][p]•Tactical Positioning:[/p][p]•Pre-point area: Dense cover, ideal for ambushes and tactical maneuvering[/p][p]•Point core: Frontal combat hotspot, high-intensity clashes guaranteed[/p][p]•Ideal for: Teams skilled in terrain utilization and mid-range suppression[/p][p][/p][p]Zone B[/p][p]B1 (Urban Zone): Flat terrain, building clusters, suited for street fights and rapid rotations.[/p][p]•B2 (Canyon Zone): Narrow,隐蔽, complex terrain, emphasizing squad ambushes and stealth.[/p][p]•Key Mechanics:[/p][p]•Dual-point parallel design—attackers must split forces or focus assaults[/p][p]•Defenders can counter via multiple flanking routes[/p][p]•Note: Attackers have more route options but face longer rotations and higher decision-making costs.[/p][p][/p][p]Zone C[/p][p]•Design: Compact area, narrow passages, ultra-short engagement distances[/p][p]•Pace: High-frequency combat, prone to tug-of-war situations where victories are decided in seconds[/p][p][/p][p]That's all, join us again next week! Wild Assault September 4 Hotfix Patch Notes-BOT Optimization Phase One

[p]Hello Wild Ones,[/p][p]We will be performing a live update at 3:00 AM PT on September 4. Ongoing matches will not be affected during the update, but matchmaking will be temporarily unavailable. Please exit the game, update your game client via Steam, and then relaunch the game.[/p][p][/p][p]We've noticed community feedback expressing dissatisfaction with our BOT mechanics and performance, along with many valuable suggestions. As a result, we've reprioritized our development focus to address these concerns as our top priority. This update marks the first phase of our BOT optimizations.[/p][p]Simultaneously, we're adjusting our update strategy and development rhythm as follows:[/p][p]• Reprioritization: The team will dedicate full efforts to optimizing core experiences (BOT logic improvements, core gameplay, controller support, etc.).[/p][p]• Flexible Update Strategy: Due to our limited team size, we'll adopt a "small, rapid iterations" approach: features will be released immediately upon completion rather than waiting for large bundled updates.[/p][p]• Continuous Content Iteration: Future content—such as custom rooms, new maps, and new heroes in development—will follow the "complete first, update first" strategy.[/p][p][/p]
BOT Optimizations Phase One
[p]• Fixed BOT using skills while simultaneously firing.[/p][p]• Fixed BOT performing instant 180-degree turns and aim at very close range.[/p][p]• Fixed BOT firing immediately after tactical sprints.[/p][p]• Fixed abnormal fire rates for specific weapons used by BOT.[/p][p]• Optimized BOT jumping logic to resolve unnatural jumping behaviors.[/p][p]• Improved BOT decision-making logic to address instances of ignoring smoke effects.[/p]
▌ Sextans Reward Adjustment:
[p]• After the new season of the Sextans launched, we received feedback about players unable to obtain S2 limited rewards in time. Post-update, S2 limited rewards will be added to the current Sextans! (Wild ones who already reached the corresponding tiers need not worry—we’ll compensate via in-game mail within 1 week.)[/p][p][/p]
▌ VALIANT WEEKEND
[p]• During the event, participating in matches grants 150% Valiant Proficiency.[/p]
▌ Fixes
[p]• Fixed inability to interact with ammo supply crates when the interaction key was set to H.[/p][p]• Fixed incorrect weapon attachment descriptions displaying after resolution changes.[/p][p]• Fixed abnormal visual effects for Jack’s "Costa Groove" skin on Medium graphics settings.[/p][p]• Fixed incorrect "outside safe zone" prompts when defenders were revived in combat areas during retreat phases.[/p][p]• Fixed inability to deploy using the spacebar in TRAINING.[/p][p][/p][p]Combat Cat Studio[/p][p][/p]
Follow us on social media ⤵️
