No problem![/p][p]Upload your Speedrun video to the Videos board, and you’ll be entered into a drawing.[/p][p]10 lucky participants will win exclusive Fatal Claw merchandise (Kisha plush / mood lamp).[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]
◈ Important[/h3][p][/p][p]- Speedrun unlocks after clearing the demo and reading the in-game dev letter.[/p][p]- Only videos uploaded to the Steam Community “Videos” tab will count.[/p][p]- Winners may be asked to verify details via our official Discord.[/p][p]- Videos without a visible in-game timer, or screenshots used in place of footage, will not be eligible.[/p][p]- Any record achieved using cheats or unfair methods will be disqualified.[/p][p]- Please see the guide below for more information on recording and uploading videos.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]◈ Recording & Upload Guide[/h3][p][/p][p]1. How to Record[/p][p]- In Steam Client, go to View > Recordings & Screenshots.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]- Tap the cogwheel⚙️ icon to enable "Record Manually."[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]- Record your Speedrun playthrough using the Start/stop recording feature.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]- After recording, go to Recordings & Screenshots > Select video > Share > Export Video File > Custom > Export Video and download your video.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]- Upload the downloaded file on your YouTube channel, and you're all set![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]2. [p][/p][p][/p][p]Hello everyone! [/p][p]Last time, we shared the backstory of the mysterious NPC Ainjaff. [/p][p]Today, we’d like to introduce you to a very different kind of character—one who instantly warms your heart just by looking at her.[/p][p][/p][p]How did this heart-warming NPC come to life? What ideas shaped her design?[/p][p]Let’s take a closer look.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]🎨 Sketches of the Day[/h3][p][/p][p]The world of Fatal Claw is alive with NPCs carefully crafted to make you feel attached to them.[/p][p]Each character carries their own story, and every encounter offers new discovery.[/p][p][/p][p]Among them, there’s one NPC who’s always mentioned as one of the most lovable—right alongside Nia. [/p][p]Her name is Rotri. 👵[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]💬 Dev's Comment[/h3][p][/p][p]Fatal Claw has a costume system that lets the protagonist Kisha swap outfits. [/p][p](We’ll save the details of that system for a later Dev Sketch!) [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Rotri was designed as the NPC tied closely to that system—the costume shop owner of the village.[/p][p][/p][p]When shaping her concept, we envisioned traits like:[/p][p]- A master craftswoman, diligent and frugal, yet kind and gentle.[/p][p]- A timeless, classic design untouched by fleeting trends.[/p][p]- Zero combat ability.[/p][p][/p][p]From there, we built her backstory: [/p][p]‘Once the royal seamstress of the Elord Kingdom, she fled to Aurora Village after the kingdom fell to monsters, where she now runs a humble boutique.’ [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]To hint at her past, we added details such as a golden measuring tape and a finely crafted sewing machine—small reminders that she was once a court seamstress.[/p][p][/p][p]Despite her small frame, Rotri has become a source of strength for the villagers, like a grandmother figure.[/p][p]Her warm spirit shines in her dialogue:[/p][p]“I wish survivors would find hope even in these grave times.”[/p][p][/p][p]There are also charming little episodes about Rotri in the game.[/p][p]One story involving her husband especially captures her character, something you’ll be able to experience for yourself in Early Access. 🥰[/p][p][/p][p]So, with that, let’s close today’s Dev Sketch by leaving you with an image of Rotri happily at work in her shop.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]Did you enjoy today’s Dev Sketch?[/p][p]We’d love to hear what you think of Rotri!
