Indie Game Showcase 2024 (Auckland, New Zealand)
Exhibition Recap and Progress Update
Hey everyone!
We recently showcased a demo of Fight'N'Jokes: Storylines at a local exhibition, and we wanted to share some highlights and updates with you all.
Exhibition Highlights
The exhibition was a fantastic opportunity for us to gather feedback and see how players interact with our game. Here are some key takeaways:
Mixed Results
While the demo worked well in the editor, we encountered some issues with the save quest system in the build. This is a priority fix for us, and we’re diving deep into the saving logic to resolve it.
Positive Feedback
Players loved the funny scenes, vibrant visuals, and the quirky personalities of the characters. It’s great to see our humor and art style resonating with you all!

Exploration and Collectibles
Many players enjoyed exploring and jumping onto every roof in search of hidden secrets. We’re planning to add more interactions and collectibles throughout the level to enhance this aspect of the game.
Player Guidance
Some players got stuck not knowing who to talk to or where to go next. We’re considering adding subtle hints to help guide you through the quests without making it too easy.
UI Improvements
We received feedback on the UI and will be working on making the icons bigger and separating the name display logic from the interaction display logic for a more cohesive experience.

Our next steps include:
Thank you for your continued support and feedback. We’re working hard to bring you an amazing game, and we’ll keep you updated on our progress. Stay tuned for more updates and, as always, feel free to share your thoughts with us.
Cheers,
Antonio & Lena.
