Beta Demo Build Update!



Hurray!!!

We've made a lot of fixes based on feedback from our recent live events, and these improvements are now live for our internal beta testers:

  1. Controller Support: The demo is fully playable with a controller, including all menus and in-game actions. We're eagerly awaiting feedback from our play-testers using Steam Decks.
  2. Quest System: The quest system has been patched up. No more disappearing quests or sync issues with your actual playthrough.
  3. Config Saving: Changes made in the Options menu are now consistent across all scenes and game sessions.
  4. Localization: The demo has been localized for German and Russian users. While still under testing, we believe 95% of the in-game and menu texts are successfully translated.
  5. Visual Updates: We've implemented a new art pass on our environments, which is particularly noticeable in the izakaya and Strabinja's house.
  6. QTE System Update: We've refined the handling of QTEs. Progressing through a button smash QTE by holding down a button is no longer possible, and we've fixed the issue that allowed character movement during QTE mode.
  7. Animations Update: We've made minor updates to animations to address some clipping issues in the parrot scene.


The next steps before the demo's public release include:
  1. Optimization Pass: We will continue to optimize the game for smoother gameplay.
  2. Localization: We are planning to add Portuguese and are looking for German-speaking beta-testers. Additionally, we are actively exploring Chinese localization support.
  3. Animation: We aim to enhance character animations by adding facial expressions.
  4. Expanding Interactions: More lines and challenges will be added to character interactions for the demo release.
  5. Extra Characters: We plan to enrich our cast with more NPCs and background characters.
  6. Controller Update: We are working on full controller support, including rebindable controls.
