Hotfix 0.0.1.7

We are pleased to introduce a new batch of much-needed updates, including re-fixes of previously encountered issues based on your feedback, as well as adding some new features to the game.

Changes:
  • Improved crash report tracking system. Now the crash reporter sends information directly to the developers in the analytical system for processing. In this regard, we ask you to fully use the crash reporter functionality, in particular, we strongly ask you to fill in the field with additional information about what you were doing at the time of the crash. This will improve communication between players and developers and help us better understand the problems you are experiencing.
  • Reworked the logic for processing graphics settings, which caused a crash from the very start of the game. Now, when you first start the game or reset the settings, there is no auto-detection of the settings (which caused a huge load on the PC), but a static preset of settings is set. Auto-detection of settings, however, is brought out as an option in the graphics settings and calibrated in such a way as not to overestimate the settings.
  • The default frame rate limit settings are set to 60 frames per second to prevent potential overheating of the graphics adapter. However, anyone can change or completely disable this limit at their own discretion.
  • Reduced frequency of switching off the electrical panel by the Ghost outside the Hunt
  • When the Hunt starts, the electrical panel will not be switched off with 100% probability
  • After the Hunt is completed, if the electrical panel was switched on before the Hunt, the electrical panel will be switched on again (now the light will not switch off so often)


Fixes:
  • Fixed the ability to run out of the Location at the beginning of the Hunt. Now the front door closes before the start of the Hunt.
  • Fixed: the volume parameters did not adjust the volume of some sounds. (note: If you encounter and find this problem with some sounds, be sure to let us know so that we can fix it)


Innovations:
  • Control hints: adaptive hints for control buttons have been added to the game, depending on the context. For example, depending on what object you are looking at, or what object you are holding in your hands.
  • Added door slam. Now, if you abruptly lock the doors, it can attract the Ghost.
  • Added additional sound effects to the Ghost during the Hunt, which will help determine its presence near you.

We really appreciate your feedback and your help in making this project better. While we work on the larger fixes, we are excited to introduce another batch of smaller changes.

  • Slightly changed default graphics settings and fixed Hardware benchmark which are possibly could be reason of ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION crash at the start of the game (NOTICE: Graphics settings will be automatically reset for all users)
  • Corrected texts of notes in the Lobby (room training)
  • Corrected and expanded some descriptions in the Journal
  • Corrected pictures in the Journal
  • Corrected the movement of the ghost trap - Wormhole
  • Corrected names of traps for photos
  • Fixed the start of the hunt after a successful exorcism

Hotfix 0.0.1.4 - Ghost attacks rebalance

We are sincerely grateful to the pioneers of the game. We are in a hurry to provide a hotfix to improve the gaming experience. The frequency of ghost attacks and the chance of killing have been reduced. Thank you for your feedback and enjoy the game!

"Bureau of Contacts" is released!

The development of a new product from our studio has reached an important phase – game is released in Early Access today.

What is "Bureau of Contacts"?

This is a mix of dynamical investigation and retaining ghost hunting with an innovative AI solution from MiroWin.

The behavior of the enemy (ghost) is controlled by a neural network for the first time. For players, this means that the enemy not only talks to you (as you do to him), but also hears and sees you, has different types of temperament, understands the context of what you said and knows what decisions to make in this or that situation.

Provoke, anger or offend him and ask for an appropriate response? Or try to get all the information out of him for the sake of victory?
The choice is yours.

The game also implements the concept of “location = enemy“. This means that we have added an assistant to the already smart ghost. The location also plays against you, placing various traps – they are above, below and everywhere, static and dynamic.

Ready to fight against their tandem alone or with friends? It’s up to you again.

But do not make the main mistake of beginners – to play based on the game experience that you accumulated in the ghost hunting genre. Don’t do this, because you will have a pattern break.
