Update 56 - Offline mode, new challenges and quality of life improvements!

Greetings, Hard Chip players!

Let's review the changes made from versions 0.0.6.66 to 0.0.6.71. Over the past few weeks, I worked refining *Hard Chip* to make your logic-crafting smoother, smarter, and more intuitive. Let's break down what's new and improved.

A 4bit decoder from a cool player



[h2]1. NEW Offline/Online Score System  [/h2]
Whether you're battling spotty Wi-Fi, grinding solutions offline, or maybe from a country with special regulations, this is the new way! Offline/Online score states! If you lose connection to HC's servers, you can't submit solutions, but you'll still see scores from others from a fixed snapshot of scores.



🎮 Changelog:  
  • NEW Offline/Online scores states depending on the connection to HC's server. You can't submit your solutions when offline, but you can still see charts from a fixed snapshot;
  • MI offline scores fallback when losing connection;
  • UX "No data" now displays clearly in performance reports when metrics are missing (should never be seen anymore, though).
  • UX Charts connectivity can be checked and retested from the in-game settings Pause menu and the settings from the Main menu




[h2] 2. UPDATED Ticks per step[/h2]
You can now see each validated step with the time it took to complete in ticks:

  • NEW Distinct powering up phase and ticks count per validation step;
  • UX Trace groups now show visible powerlines (though depth sorting needs polish 👀).  




[h2] 3. NEW Challenges and Logic Fixes[/h2]  
Sharpen your skills with fresh puzzles and corrected quirks!


🧩 Changelog:  
  • NEW XNOR3 and XOR3 challenges—push your logic gates to the limit!  
  • FIX Corrected XOR3 truth tables and squashed a pesky "nxor" typo.  
  • CHX Overhauled XNOR, XOR3, and XNOR3 challenges for tighter logic.  




[h2] 4. UPDATED User Experience  [/h2]
Smoother menus, smarter tools, and fewer headaches. Like the mid-height voxel click target, which should render the overall player experience much better!

✨ Changelog:  
  • UX Settings are now grayed out (not removed) in-game.  
  • UX Visual hints for relocating I/O blocks and tooltips explaining how to read result readouts.  
  • UX Two-state buttons in the Tools menu show activation clearly.  
  • UX "Center Camera" key bind now cycles between centered and last positions.  
  • UX Plane selection snaps to mid-height voxels for more effortless clicks.
  • UX Trace groups with visible powerlines, depth issues though;




[h2]Quality Of Life, Bug, and Crash fixes list[/h2]
More squashed bugs and polished rough edges!

  • MI Monetizeable content for streamer and content creator disclaimer (TLDR, you can stream HC's music);
  • FIX Can't interact with terminals when Pause menu is shown;
  • FIX No bounds in free editor cam;
  • FIX varying speed at steep angles;
  • FIX wrong starting camera position;
  • FIX Input/Output readout not showing the negative sign;
  • PERF Reducing stack frames on simulation's code;
  • PERF small memory management improvement;
