Patch Notes
Alongside these new heroes this update also contains a ton of new features and content to go over so let’s break it all down:

New Features:
• 3 New Heroes from the Water Dimension
• Shork, Aquanaut, and Bo join the fray as our newest Dimensionals.
• The Water Dimension revolves around using Refresh to cast tons of small damage hits that get amplified by the steady stream of Corruption debuffs that these heroes are able to apply.
• Combo Tracker
• The Combo Tracker has been added to better visualize exactly what just went on during a turn when you start to create crazy combos!
• In the top left of your screen, active skills and the subsequent triggers of passive skills will begin to pop up once a skill has been used. Here you can see exactly what just happened, which triggers occurred, and which hero they are coming from.
• In future releases we aim to expand this system into a full combat log where you can review past turns and see exactly what’s going on with your build!
• Relics and Curses Implementation
• Relics and Curses are a new addition to Dimensionals which offer a new layer of strategy to both the combat and economy. Relics offer powerful benefits that affect your characters both inside and outside of combat without needing to be equipped by any hero.
• As long as a Relic (or a Curse) is in your bag, the effect will be active.
• Curses are similar to relics in the sense that they apply a permanent effect to your heroes as long as that curse is in your bag, however unlike the Relics, Shopkeeper isn’t at all interested in buying your curses so you’re stuck with them until the end.
• Video Tutorial System
• Tutorials are something we’ve had in mind for a very long time. This latest build now offers video tutorials to teach both the basics of gameplay and some of the more nuanced mechanics like upgrading your skills! Let us know if there are more gameplay elements you’d like to see as tutorials to be better prepared for the Rift.
• New Battles and Backgrounds
• There are plenty of brand new battles to test your strategy!
• New Potions
• Consumables have been revamped to make them more accessible and more interesting! Be sure to check in with Potion Granny during your run to see all her new goodies!
• Added Apocalypse mode
• For our users looking for a bit more of a challenge we also added a preview of the Apocalypse mode to our Master Raid, where players can forgo the Cosmic Guardian buff at the start of the run and instead begin their adventure with a curse!

General Updates:
• Updated Hero Select screen
• This patch introduces a brand new Hero Select screen. Drag and drop your heroes to build up your team. You can also right click on a hero portrait or card to see more info about that hero.
• Skill Revamp for Dimension Zero heroes (Koa, Gramps, and Boop)
• We have completely redesigned the skills for the three Dimension Zero heroes. Rather than leaning in to a special mechanic, we’ve given Dimension Zero heroes access to a little bit of everything making them great heroes for any team comp.
• While Dimension Zero heroes have a focus on critical hits, they can also dip into Refresh, Poison, Corruption, Rage, and more to find a way to combo with any of the other heroes in Dimensonals.
• Damage scaling changes (HP, block, damage)
• We’ve continued our quest to rebalance Dimensionals! We’re aiming for a tough but fair balance where players can feel the risk vs reward of each action they take in combat.
• Hero HP and Block generation has been revisited to keep the gameplay feeling more tactical and keep our battles requiring meaningful strategy in the mid to late game.
• Healing Potions can now be used outside of battles
• A long requested feature is finally upon us! Healing Potions are no longer only for combat. Heroes can now enjoy a refreshing glass of health in their downtime between battles!
• Update Skill Card Frame Design for Passive Skills
• We have added a new frame design for Passive Skills to better visually separate them from Active Skills, Curses, and Relics.
• UI Improvements
• New Potion bag UI Change
• Mana Bar visual change
• Skill card SFX improvements
• Combo Meter removed
• The Combo Meter system has been removed while we revisit what exactly we want this system to achieve.

Patch Notes - 0.7.0 - Public Playtest
Welcome back Dimensionals!
We’re so excited to bring you all back into the rift for our latest public playtest! We’ve got some big changes in store for Dimensionals.

We’re really excited to show you some of the new features we’ve been working on, so excited in-fact that we managed to sneak in two new characters for you all to play with, Koa and Eve! As a disclaimer, Koa and Eve are in the very early stages of development and therefore include a few placeholder assets, you’ll notice all their Skill Cards are marked with a purple “?”, fear not this is intentional as we wanted you all to get your hands on these newest heroes ASAP.

Alongside these two new heroes comes our first sneak peek at the newest game mode in Dimensionals, the Campaign! The campaign is something we’ve been working towards in secret for the past little while as a brand new way to experience Dimensionals. For players who love a fun story, a wide cast of characters, and some extreme challenges, the campaign has something for you.

Each chapter of our campaign explores the story of Dimensionals as our team of heroes travels from, you guessed it, Dimension to Dimension to save the multiverse after a catastrophic attack from the leader of the Specter army, Ragnarath. In this update we’ll be showing off a small taste of “Chapter 1: Welcome to Atlantis” where you will be able to play the first two Episodes in our story. In these first two Episodes you play as Koa, teamed up with Shork and Eve, to survey the damage caused by Ragnarath as you dive deep into the waters of Atlantis in search of your Dimensional friends, Bo and Aquanaut.

Our campaign takes on a slightly different structure from the full roguelike approach of our Master Raid game mode, where each Episode is a predefined set of battles, shops, and dialogue that tells a unique story. Each Campaign Episode has their own set of challenge quests and a leaderboard to show off your high score for that Episode! We really hope you enjoy this new way to play Dimensionals and can’t wait to hear your feedback.
New Features
• Campaign Mode Demo
• Episode 1 and Episode 2 both have their own unique set of challenges that can be activated, including a Mastery challenge which requires all 5 of the Episode challenges to be active simultaneously! Good luck Dimensionals.
• Leaderboards
• Players can find one leaderboard per Episode inside the Campaign Demo and a separate Master Raid leaderboard on the main screen.
• Koa and Eve as playable heroes

• New Mechanic: Break
• Break is a debuff that can be applied to enemies by Koa and Eve that increases the damage taken from the next hit the debuffed enemy receives from an active Skill or a Poison hit. Each stack of Break will further amplify that damage and all stacks are removed when damage is dealt.
• Gameplay Speed Toggle
• We have increased the pace of our animation triggers substantially and now offer two styles of gameplay, Normal mode and Fast mode. Normal Mode starts out slower, but the more actions that happen during the turn, the faster they ramp up. Fast most is as the name suggests, fast.
• Enemy Forecast Accuracy
• Our forecast system now more accurately shows incoming damage from enemy attacks. You will now see the true value of the base damage, plus any Rage on the attacker, plus the Corruption your character has, and the damage reduction if they have Weak applied to them. All in all it’s much easier to see the exact damage you need to block each turn! Paired with this we also have a small visual update to our HP bars when it comes to Poison! The portion of the HP bar that will be lost to Poison at the start of each turn is highlighted in Green so you can clearly see how much HP will be lost on both enemies and heroes.
Updated Content
• Skill Card Upgrade Logic
• We’ve changed the way upgrading works for the Hero Skill Cards. Previously players had to merge two identical Skill Cards together to upgrade them (3* + 3* to make a 4*). We updated this mechanic slightly so now players can combine any two of the same Skill to upgrade it, however now those upgrades cost a bit of extra gold to offset the previous requirement of finding a lot of extra copies. All in all this change makes upgrading much more accessible and puts an emphasis on gold management during a run.
• Mana Update
• Players will now start at 3 mana at the beginning of each battle and gain +1 max mana each turn up until they reach 7 mana.
• Hero Unlocking
• Players will now start with the Atlantis heroes unlocked to use in the Master Raid and will obtain new heroes after defeating each boss.
• Timewarps have been removed
• Timewarps didn’t quite do what we wanted them to do, so we’ve disabled them for now.
• Boss and enemy difficulty scaling
• The Specters in the rift have gained a bit of power! Be wary Dimensionals.
• Character Death and Revival no longer destroys an equip.
• HP Bar now shows incoming healing from Potions and Skills
• New SFX
• Various UI/UX Improvements
• Terrain background FX updates / polish
Bug Fixes
• Fixed Class lock icon colour
• Fixed various death animation issues
• Moved Timer Overlay fixed for boss battles
• Fixed various Game crashes during the Ragnarath fight
• Fixed Raging Bob counter attack issues
