A letter from Patton - dev update about War Mechanic

While you read the letter from General Patton himself, please take a moment to update yourself on the latest developments in our game - War Mechanic!

Just over two months ago, we released the trailer for "War Mechanic." We received a lot of feedback from you—so much, in fact, that we needed some time to process it all. There was an overwhelming amount of praise for our efforts, but just as much valuable input on what could be improved. Thanks for all that! Patton would say that no project can be successful without full dedication, so we treat your feedback seriously!

First, let's start with the most important information: we are postponing the release. To ensure War Mechanic meets all the highest standards and provides the best possible experience at launch, we’ve decided to invest more time and additional efforts in strengthening our unique game concept.

So now, to the real stuff, what have we been up to lately?

Meet Jack Wallace - the War Mechanic

The first huge change you can find on the “War Mechanic” Steam page is the introduction of new models of the main character of the game, Jack Wallace.
The fate of the war depends on this bearded badass's actions. Win this war and show the USSR how U.S. mechanics work.

Gizmo - your mechanical sidekick

Every hero needs an assistant; Batman had Robin, Don Quixote had Sancho, and you have Gizmo! This rusty old robot (check out his past; there are some well-hidden secrets buried deep under his rusted helmet) will help you learn all the basic mechanics of the game. During the game, you will have the opportunity to discover his past, secrets hidden deep on his hard drive. Knowing his secrets, will you look at him the same way as before? Does the term - Wunder Waffe tell you anything?

Welcome to Garage!

Exploring Nordhook is essential for collecting unique materials, blueprints, and upgrades for the base. It’s often too risky to go on foot; the sun is blazing, the distances are long, and you never know what strange stuff the Nazis and Soviets left behind!

You will soon discover this rugged old light military vehicle, left to rust in one of the base facilities. If you take care of it and invest time and resources, you can transform this pile of scrap into a real old-timer hot rod!

As the game progresses, you will be able to upgrade it, both mechanically and visually. In addition, you have to monitor the fuel level and vehicle efficiency and constantly repair it, and it will serve you for many years of war.

Blaster - melt to collect

The island is littered with wrecks. Cleaning up the debris provides all the materials to complete the contracts—that’s why you need a dependable tool like the Hand Blaster, which can cut through scrap of any size.

We are preparing interesting updates about the blaster and other core mechanics of the game in a series called “Nordhook Diaries”. Wishlist the game so you won’t miss it!

Workshop - help to push the front!

In War Mechanic, one of the key elements of the game is repairing destroyed military vehicles to assist your allies on the front lines.

Repairs are conducted in a special building known as the post-Nazi Workshop. All vehicles, whether cars or tanks, are transported by a massive train that comes directly from the war front.

At the start of the game, your task will be to manually repair all vehicles, from diagnosing damage to disassembling and repairing parts and finally to reassembling them. As the game progresses, you will begin using robots for this purpose. Keep in mind, they never get tired!

Godspeed, gentleman!

"War Mechanic Program"

Dieselpunk in War Mechanic - DEVLOG#1
Hey everyone!
We've always been fascinated by dieselpunk - not just as a style, but as a complete alternative vision of technology. Imagine a world driven by mechanical ingenuity, where problems are solved with engineering rather than microprocessors. That's the world we're building.

We are currently focusing on the vehicle you'll be driving. Our art team has put a lot of effort into designing this mechanical beast - every component has its purpose. You'll need to upgrade it as you progress through the game, making it essential for overcoming new challenges.

We just wrapped up work on an abandoned industrial complex, and our first test drives through this space were incredibly rewarding—it’s exactly the vibe we were aiming for.

Looking ahead, we’re all about refining the core gameplay experience. We want the vehicle handling, exploration, and shooting of aircraft to feel as satisfying as possible. The world looks the part; now we’re making sure it’s a blast to play.
