Godslayer Arena Releases June 16th!

Hello hello everyone! Godslayer Arena's early access launch is coming up and I'd like to let you all know what you can expect as well as some highlights for what's changed since the demo version.

[h2]The Cosmic Huntress[/h2]

The Cosmic Huntress is the second playable Godslayer, featuring a unique ability to summon cosmic companions that grant you powerful buffs. She has her own unique set of 63 base spells and 22 mastery spells, allowing for a gameplay experience completely different from the Raging Bloodlord!

[h2]Changes From The Demo[/h2]

Numerous gameplay improvements have been made since the new version of demo launched. Below is a list of some of the most notable changes.

  • Difficulty system.
  • Run saving system
  • Lots of balance changes and reworks to various spells, traits, items, and gems.
  • New enemy ELITE system, which replaces the old enemy rarity system.
  • Hexes are now cast by Hex Casters, a type of ELITE enemy.
  • Mana generation rework.
  • New items.
  • New gems.

Please note that the demo is planned to be taken down in the next few days due to the fact that it is no longer representative of the current game.

Godslayer Arena will release into Early Access on June 16th at 10:00am PT. The game will be priced at $14.99 with at 10% launch discount.

If you're an owner of Spirits of the Hellements there will be a Hippo Rider Games collection that will allow you to purchase Godslayer Arena with an additional 10% off discount!

New Demo Now Live!

Hello hello everyone!

The update for Godslayer Arena's demo is now live for steam next fest! Here's a quick recap of the major changes:

Here are some of the most notable changes:
  • A completely reworked spell pool for the Raging Bloodlord. This includes 50+ new and reworked spells that introduce completely new mechanics such as spell transformation, corpse consumption, minions, and special charges.
  • ~8 new and reworked traits.
  • 20+ new mastery spells
  • A reworked mastery spell system that grants you a unique bonus if you chose a mastery spell of that trait. Mastery spells now only have one trait, and selecting a spell with that trait always activates the first breakpoint for that trait.
  • 60+ new items
  • 50+ new gems
  • A new currency type that allows you to reroll the offered gems, items, zone modifiers, and mastery cards.
  • New health system
  • New codex/keyword system to make the game easier to learn.
  • Updated visuals.

Hope you all are doing well. I wanted to let you know that the demo for Godslayer Arena is getting a massive update for the Steam Next Fest on February 24th 10am PT.

  • Gem drag and drop now works properly.
  • Fixed a bug where Chrono’s positional effects were reversed.
  • General UI tweaks.
  • Fixed a bug where some resonance rewards were granting wrong stats.
  • Fixed a bug where some gem imbues would give you a different imbue than the one you selected.
  • Fixed a bug where spells that get manablocked at the start of combat would still fill once.
  • The demo panel at the end of a run can now be hidden.
  • Fixed some typos and changed the wording of a few descriptions.
  • The shadowborne minion’s HP bar now follows the minion correctly.
  • Fixed a bug where Necroweave minions would not despawn.
  • Fixed a bug where Oracle and Electros would trigger an additional time for each minion you had active.
  • Fixed a bug where Infernum 6 gave the wrong values.

Tiny Teams Demo Has Launched!

Hello hello everyone, Tiny Teams has just started and Godslayer Arena’s demo is now live! Thank you to all the early playtesters for helping me improve this version. If you have any suggestions or run into any bugs feel free to send them over my way.

Steam just made a pretty large change to demos where you can now leave reviews on them, so if you have the time please leave your honest feedback there! It would be the best way to support the game at this stage and I really appreciate it.

The Tiny Teams festival is currently running for a week, so check out this page for a bunch of demos and discounts on a bunch of indie games. Yogscast will also be streaming Godslayer Arena gameplay around an hour after I post this, so check it out!
