[p][/p][p][/p][p]Hello everyone!
[/p][p]It’s already July... I can’t believe June has come and gone.
Lately, I find myself wondering, “Has time ever flown by this quickly before?”—that’s how each day feels.[/p][p]
How was your June?[/p][p]
Today, I’d like to share our June Development Log,
along with a brief notice about delays in the development schedule.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]June Development Log[/p]
[p]We made progress on background images,
added new regular enemies, and worked on parts of the boss's first phase.[/p][p]
Here are some screenshots and clips of our work in progress![/p][p]
*Thank you for your understanding that everything is still under development.[/p][p][/p][p]One of the most common pieces of feedback we received
about Stage 1 was that the stage sections felt a bit monotonous.[/p][p]
That’s understandable—Stage 1 serves as both a tutorial and an introduction to the world, and since the boss character Yozoh isn’t someone who really cares about aesthetics or appearances, there weren’t many areas (outside the underground section) that had a strong sense of personality or character.[/p][p]
With Stage 2, we’re trying something different.[/p][p]
This time, we’re focusing on making the stage feel distinctly like the domain of the boss character—a space that reflects their personality and presence much more strongly.[/p][p][/p][p]KILL THE WITCH - 202506 DevLog [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]*You can find more details in the video above.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Notice: Development Schedule Delay[/p]
[p]After carefully reviewing our current progress, we’ve come to the conclusion that we won’t be able to deliver the game at a satisfying level of quality within July as originally planned.[/p][p]It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the following delays in our development schedule.[/p][p]We sincerely apologize for the change from the schedule we originally promised.[/p][p]
That said, please rest assured—this is not due to any setbacks in development!
In fact, as we’ve continued working, we’ve become more deeply immersed in the project’s themes and started aiming even higher.[/p][p]As a result, the scope has expanded significantly beyond our initial plans.[/p][p]
This includes:
A greater variety of regular enemies
More detailed backgrounds featuring character illustrations
Enhanced cutscenes, effects, and sound work[/p][p]
Of course, no matter the reason, we acknowledge that we've broken a promise—
and for that, we are truly sorry.[/p][p]
This delay is entirely in the interest of delivering a better, more complete version of KILL THE WITCH,
and we’d be incredibly grateful for your understanding and patience.

As someone who wants this game to exist in its best possible form—not just as a developer, but as one of its most eager believers—[/p][p]
I promise to keep pouring everything I have into this project until the very end.[/p][p]Thank you always for your support.[/p][p][/p]
