Hello !
This is SnakeEagle, making games :)

This patch was meant to polish the game and solidify its direction.
I'm going to stick with the current 0.5 version and not make any major changes.

Now we're going to start working on stage 2!
We look forward to your continued support and interest!

- Adjusting the input time for continuous attacks to be slightly shorter

Boss battles
- Boss HP rebalanced based on difficulty
- Changed pattern end condition in laser patterns to be based on health percentage
- Improved platform visibility in laser patterns

- Improved visibility of some background graphic elements
- Improved penalty recognition based on difficulty
- Monsters and bosses now flash when hit
- Fixed UI control keys in the final gameover screen to output correctly

Bugs
- Fixed an occasional animation change bug during game over
- Fixed game freezing when getting hit while transforming
- Fixed a bug where the boss's iron ball would sometimes get stuck in the wall
- Fixed some UI notation errors

- Rebalanced the strength of patterns based on difficulty
- Reduced the strength of chromatic aberration effects in the final phase

- Some UX improvements to the UI

Bugs
- Fixed a bug in the 'Transformation' tutorial walkthrough
- Fixed occasional keystrokes not working properly during the platforming phase of the Stage 1 boss fight

These are mostly difficulty related updates!
We're working on patch 0.5 for a slightly larger update.

We're SnakeEagle who making games.

We're always listening to everyone who plays and gives us feedback.
Our goal with this patch was to take that valuable feedback and evolve the game from a "nasty game full of malice" to a "fun game that's worth the challenge".

So we've made the differences between difficulty levels a little clearer,
We've improved the game so that you can overcome RNG with your own skill.
Of course, we've also made improvements to bugs, translation errors, and more.

Below is a breakdown of the changes.

Stage
- Adjusting the damage range of all monsters
- Adjusted the player hit range for all monsters
- Changed monster "bombs" to be able to be knocked back by attacking them.
- Added tutorials for transformations and effects
- Made some stage level design changes

Boss Battles
- Improved visibility of spike pattern on the floor of the Stage 1 boss
- Changed the restraint on the Stage 1 boss to be able to be attacked and knocked back.
- Stage 1 boss restraint now move more fluidly.

- Improved the damage effect of hitting Stage 1 boss support monsters to work correctly
- Adjusted Stage 1 boss support monster damage range
- Adjusted player hit range for Stage 1 boss support monsters

- Improved "Hearts" and "Willpower" to fall onto platforms during the platform phase of the Stage 1 boss
- Changed the restraint on the platform stage of the Stage 1 boss to be flying.

Other
- Full adjustment of advantage/penalty based on difficulty.
- Some improvements to the English translation.
- Changed the player character's English name from "Jonah" to "Yonah".
- Adjusted the player character's jump attack range.
- Changed the borders of character illustrations from white to character-specific colors.

Bugs
- Fixed a low chance bug that could cause the floor to pierce when moving around the map.
- Fixed a bug where a player's jump attack would not finish if they touched the floor during the attack.
- Fixed a bug where players would be able to move while still in mid-air if they hit the ground during an jump attack.
- Fixed a bug where pressing the Submit key repeatedly during game over would cause the scene to skip forward
- Fixed a bug where post-processing would not be applied correctly in the final phase of the Stage 1 boss
