Patch 1.05.1

- Added more enemies and obstacles around the dungeon section of 3-6, as it was originally rushed and quite sparse in places.

- Armadon's fireball attack now fires in a spread shot, though the fireballs are smaller. Previously you practically had to go out of your way to get hit by them.

- In line with the knockback rework, certain enemies have been given hyperarmour during specific attacks to maintain their threat, or to stop zoner enemies being more challenging than they should be.
These include: Armadon Roll, Garga Charge, Skol Warrior Jump, Bullfrog Jump, Gremlins have constant hyperarmour, and Malaikah have constant hyperarmour.
Bosses with hyperarmour changes include Troy, Gorgo, Khaled Scala, Riff-Raff, Xanax, and Hawkwind.

- Troy has been generally re-balanced to be more challenging. A ring has also been added around the arena to stop him from going too far into the lava.

- Gave Moogs 5 more HP, so they can't be one-shot with the sword.

- Fixed infinite metal pickup in 2-1.

- Can now press TAB on story sections to instantly skip them. The level skip cheat is also a lot snappier, with less delays and fade-outs.

Patch 1.05 - Major Balance Changes

- Losing a party member no longer decreases rank, and enemy turn timers are faster on low and mid rank than they were previously.
Previously, spamming attack and facetanking damage was an effective strategy, because the continual death of party members kept you at low rank, which in turn kept enemies slow enough for your DPS to out-pace theirs.

- Poise has been reworked. Enemies now ALWAYS get knocked back on hit. Knockback has been doubled globally, and enemy walk speeds have been increased by x1.5.
This makes the game much less spammy. Every hit will now reset the neutral, forcing you to re-approach to attack again.

- Lower ranks now penalize essence gain, with bottom rank only giving you 1/3 of the essence you would ordinarily get.
This was the case in pre-release versions, but was removed. The rationale was to introduce a dynamic where you would want to be selective about items and pickups in order to strategically delay rank gain as much as possible, since there was no benefit to being at higher rank.
However, in practice this dynamic did not occur. Even should the previous change make this emerge, a minor layer of added strategy does not justify encouraging the player to remain in a slower and easier version of the combat.

- Reverted extra time bonuses on lower rank.
Lower ranks still have a chance of despawning enemies on level load, but giving extra time would reward worse players with more essence.

Other Changes:

- Shield counter value now increases by 2 from melee hitboxes, making the guard much more useful.

- Reverted change to enemy alert distance scaling, as it made quick-killing too effective.

- Halved the range of the blunderbuss bullets.

- Reduced range of longbow arrows.

- Staff projectiles have less range and active time.

- Cure-alls now cure the entire party of status effects instead of just one member.

- Changed the water pillars section in 3-5 to be more forgiving.

- Added missing killfloor to 3-4 elevator shaft.

- Fixed locks requiring multiple of the same key accepting only one.

- Lock forcefields now visually disappear correctly.

- Fixed bad teleport in 1-6.

1.04 Patch

- Added more killfloors to 1-2 to save having to climb back up in certain spots.

- Fixed performance issues on 1-2 caused by SSIL accidentally being enabled.

- Fixed invisible enemy teleports caused by misconfigured enemy area in 1-2.

- Can no longer sprint while in action startup/endlag, preventing some cheesy strats with certain weapon types.

- Fixed prologue starting you as the wrong character under certain conditions.

1.04 - Difficulty and rank adjustments

Various things have been added and re-balanced to make the game more accessible without compromising any difficulty at high level play.

- Enemy aggro range has been decreased from 90 to 75.

- Enemy alert now scales with how close you are to the enemy.

- Enemies now take longer to teleport at lower ranks, an extra 16 seconds at low rank, and an extra 8 seconds at mid rank.

- Enemies will no longer teleport mid-attack, and will not instantly attack on alert if they have teleported.

- Scatter range on teleport slightly reduced.

- Fall damage has been halved.

- Climbing a ladder now instantly stops your velocity, unless sprint is held.

- Essence pickups now heal even when time is out.

- When a level is entered at low or mid rank, non-area enemies have a 30% and 15% chance respectively of despawning, reducing enemy counts overall at lower ranks.

- Entering a level at low or mid rank gives an extra 60 and 30 seconds to the timer respectively.

- You now lose 1500 rank value on KO instead of 1000.

There have also been two fixes:
- Incorrect scrolling texture fixed in 3-1.
- Error caused by recall claw code on book start has been fixed.

Any feedback, bugs or suggestions in the discussions or discord are much appreciated!
