1.07 - Stage Select

This update adds a simple level select to the book menu, which unlocks after beating the game, giving you an easy way to really dig into each level individually.
It allows you to play any chapter, starting with 0 shards and max rank, and showing results once you clear the level.
In this mode, you have the option to return to the title screen from the pause menu.

If you're a player who got turned off by the permadeath structure, using the CTRL-ALT-Z cheat to skip through each book (or editing UNLOCKsave.tres to book_clear = 4 in notepad), then using level select to play the game one stage at a time is a fine way to experience it.
Just know that it's not intended and can subtract from both the mechanical and narrative experience. It also makes certain shard-munching stages extremely hard since you have no resources as a safety net (even i'd have to lock in to beat 3-7).

Patch Notes:

- Skullmasses (the big skulls in 3-1) now have hyperarmour and cannot be knocked back.

- 3-4 disables the reverb effect from 3-3, fixing the issue where the reverb would persist if you used level skip.

- Heavily reduced knockback on blunderbuss bullets. Previously it could send an enemy halfway across the stage.

- Fixed Quad Shot grenade explosions doing 0 damage.

- Fixed incorrect scrolling textures in 1-5, which is like the 6th time it's done this.

- Ms. Sparkle's beam now deals Light damage instead of Dark.

Patch 1.061

- Fixed keybinds not saving properly.

- Fixed jump and sprint input sometimes going through twice and costing double AP, which would happen when using faster inputs like mouse buttons.

- Fixed botany timeouts causing you to lose AP while sprinting.

- Globally reduced projectile speed of Mush's primary punch.

- Added some pickups around an odd hidden geometry spot in 2-4

- Added Gaither to the skybox of an inaccessible test level

Balance Patch

- Enemy knockback is now only horizontal, preventing flying enemies from being easily swatted above your reach.

- Rebalanced Bumbers (the clown guys). They no longer inflict berserk status, and their bounce on contact is now more consistent and more likely to knock you into hazards. More of them have been added around 3-3.

- Added missing character change beacon to 3-3.

- Buffed Mushroomstar from 4 earth damage to 6, now making it have same damage as stock sword.

- Erudite fire circle has been rebalanced to be slower, and denser, with more active time. It's now more of a space you have to respect instead of background bullet clutter.

- All light-seeds are now replaced with dark-seeds, as light-seeds were rare and useless, temporarily giving you negligable defense bonus.

Minor Patch

- Pressing the equals key now toggles HUD visibility.

- Options to invert X and Y camera axis have been added.

These apply both to the demo and full game.

Thank you all for playing!

Patch 1.05.1

- Added more enemies and obstacles around the dungeon section of 3-6, as it was originally rushed and quite sparse in places.

- Armadon's fireball attack now fires in a spread shot, though the fireballs are smaller. Previously you practically had to go out of your way to get hit by them.

- In line with the knockback rework, certain enemies have been given hyperarmour during specific attacks to maintain their threat, or to stop zoner enemies being more challenging than they should be.
These include: Armadon Roll, Garga Charge, Skol Warrior Jump, Bullfrog Jump, Gremlins have constant hyperarmour, and Malaikah have constant hyperarmour.
Bosses with hyperarmour changes include Troy, Gorgo, Khaled Scala, Riff-Raff, Xanax, and Hawkwind.

- Troy has been generally re-balanced to be more challenging. A ring has also been added around the arena to stop him from going too far into the lava.

- Gave Moogs 5 more HP, so they can't be one-shot with the sword.

- Fixed infinite metal pickup in 2-1.

- Can now press TAB on story sections to instantly skip them. The level skip cheat is also a lot snappier, with less delays and fade-outs.
