v1.2.3 - Flaming Sword Skins and More Information about the Dungeon

This is a quick Summer Update to add some more information, balance some things, and make the Summer Sword Skins, Flame Burst and Flame Burden, available for you to use!

Flame Burst and Flame Burden

Go through the Dungeon with some burning hot Flame Sword Skins you can use right out of the game! Introducing the Flame Burden(an animated Sword Skin) and Flame Burst, Cyan Swords forged with the Blue Flames, these cool Sword Skins should guide you further as you venture deeper into the Wrath’s Dungeon!
Sword Skins do not offer any advantage in the game other than looking cool.

More Information about the Dungeon

A small addition that prompted v1.2.2, I also added More Information about the Dungeon and More Information about your Adventurer(your regular HP, etc.) to push the subtle lore of the game a little more and to let players know how much do they actually have. A bar with no numbers is a little lacking. While the story is definitely not the focus of the game, it's these little details that help shape the world of Deep Dark Wrath.

Small Balancing Changes

Another small addition that prompted v1.2.3, I decided to add another Elixir of Rejuvenation(basically refills your Regen Power Uses) in the Dungeon. Its in the Caves if you can find it. This may very well throw off the balance I had for this game, but I think its a nice addition to have for newer players to more easily grasp the Dungeon.

Anyways, hoping you enjoy this Summer with these Flaming Hot Swords for Deep Dark Wrath! Thanks for reading, this has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now.

v1.2.0 - Android Version, Appearance Options Revamps, More VFX, and Clearer Info

This update is a collection of little updates that should give you more options to play, more options to stylize your Adventurer, better information about the game so it’s clearer, and some more small VFX things that’ll breathe a little more life into the game.

v1.1.4 - Smaller Updates

The main collection of small updates to supplement v1.1.3. Here’s some GIFs to see what they add. There's an idle animation now and there's more information about a card when you have control focus on that card.

Sword Skins

A new way to personalize your Adventurer as you explore the depths of the Dungeon! The DDW_SwordSkin_Template.psd file included in the new build is a template for making your own Sword Skins. Check the Read Me in the PC version for how to add your Sword Skins into the game.

Accessing the Android Version

The mobile version of Deep Dark Wrath has come over to Steam! The Android APK is inside the build folder of Deep Dark Wrath. As it is an APK, you will have to install it yourself. There is also a Read Me if you’d like to check on more information about the Android APK.

The Android Version will be updated alongside the main Windows PC Build, so you can seamlessly transition between the two versions. This is why the download size has gotten bigger than normal.

To access the Android build:
 1. In the Steam Library, go to Deep Dark Wrath
 2. Click the Settings/Cog Icon.
 3. Click on Properties.
 4. Click on Installed Files
 5. Click on the Browse Button
To install the build(and future updates), I suggest looking it up for further detail:
 1. Move it to your Android device via online or wired means.
 2. Launch the APK on your Android device.
 3. If this is your first time installing via APK, you will have to set the Android setting of Allow Installation from Unknown Sources to True/Allow.
 4. Follow the Instructions prompted. If prompted to scan the game, you may do so.

Anyways, thanks for reading this update and hope this helps you experience the Dungeon better! This has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now.

v1.1.3 - Quick Fix Patch 1

Forgot to add in Information in the Compendium for the Quick Map and updated the Pause Screen Information in the Compendium

v1.1.3 - Oracle Reversion, Quick Map, and some Bugfixing

While it has only been 3 days since release, I decided to add a few final release mechanics, and fix bugs I missed. I really hoped I would have put the newest additions a few weeks from now, but since I only saw the Wrath Anger Fangs visual bug after I was able to do both Quick Map and Oracle Reversion, I kinda needed to put this update out now.
Quick Changelog
Added
 • Oracle Reversion allowing you to modify your Oracle Pieces(in turn modify Dungeon difficulty) once you finish the game
 • Hold for Quick Area Map via Space / L1 / LT
 • Another Map HUD at the Front of the Map Table
 • Icons of Attack(UI Accept) and Regen when they can be used to shortcut for HUDs
Fixed
 • Rebinding Options says Dash instead of Sprint
 • Options Focus Button not losing Focus
 • Abandon and Abandon-like Buttons still activating even when already hidden
 • Wrath Bar at a Glance not showing up in subsequent runs after a Wrath Anger
V1.1.1 - Some Quick and Easy Updates and Fixes

One addition is a Quick Area Map so that you’ll be able to see the map of the area vaguely. The design is very much inspired by Hollow Knight’s own Quick Map.

While I do want Adventurers to gather map knowledge on their own, this will help the onboarding experience a little better so you’re not totally lost. And it only vaguely shows the map, the Points, Enemies, Key Items, and Walls won’t show up. It just shows the rough outline of the area and the entry and exits. Essentially you have the Map in the Compendium in your hands.

Once you have a good idea of what to do, you can just not use it anymore. It’s some option I’ve been thinking about whether I wanted it in or not, but ultimately it’ll help a new Adventurer learn a bit quicker and better. I’m hoping it’ll make for a better experience.

I also had some bugs to fix and some smaller additions added. I also found that the newly added Wrath Anger fangs don’t show up again if you the Wrath got Angered in a previous run. While it is only a visual bug, that’s still an important UI element Adventurers need to see.

V1.1.3 - Oracle Reversion

This is a weird endgame addition to kind of replay the game without the need to reset saves or reset cards. Yes, it's a way to just reuse and pad content. This was not really part of my post-release plans but was simply a quick idea I had while I rested from Deep Dark Wrath.

The GIF seems to look like it is skipping some numbers but it does indeed scroll through 0 to 7, and the highest accumulated Oracle Pieces. The highest accumulated amount also accounts for how many you've gained even if you lowered the current Oracle Piece amount.

Just A Few Days after Release

I’m terribly sorry if the Wrath Fangs visual bug has inconvenienced you. I really should have tested it more and looked into it more. Hoping you all are enjoying the game. This has been CraftedCircuitry signing off for now.

V1.0.1 - Full Version Release

I have finally released my first commercial game, Deep Dark Wrath! Thank you for all the pre-release support, shouting out my friends and family, Feedback Quest 6 Game Jam over on Itch, the various gaming communities on Reddit, and you reading this now. It’s time to engulf this world with a Deep Dark Wrath!

Moving right along, if you have any feedback, please do let me know as I wanna make sure this Full Version is bug-free and performs well for most devices. The game is also on a Launch Sale of 10% Off!

V1.0.1 - The Full Version

This lightweight grindy game is finally a reality. It’s done, its main idea is complete. 5 Dungeon Areas to get lost in, lots of Enchanted Cards to play around with, the grind experience and feeling I got from endgame MHW:Iceborne, a nice and quick adventure every Dungeon Run, all in a small and lightweight package.

I’ve added some extra little things in the last few weeks to polish the game. To quickly glance at the Wrath’s Anger, you can check the fangs on the top of the screen. Don’t see any? Well, it’s anger isn’t prominent yet.

There is a small addition to tutorials and info to make things more clear. Point Protection, Old Cards unlocking the Door, and the new At a Glance Bar for Wrath Anger. Onboarding new Adventurers should be much better now.

Future Updates?

I’ll look into what I can do as I actually have several ideas of how to continue the lore and add more content to the game. I may take a break from Deep Dark Wrath first(after post-release quickfixing if needed)to let my mind be refreshed. It’s also so I could let them sit a little more, and maybe refine them once I start making them.

However, if there are some really good things to help the game like localizing for a specific language that the majority may want, please do leave some feedback down below as it is always appreciated.

You can follow me on my Tumblr for the latest updates on what I’m working on. Maybe in the future, you’ll get a sneak peek of what the future updates are.

Countless Thank Yous

Again, I would like to thank you all for the pre-release support. Hoping for a good launch and not many bugfixing. I play this game a good amount once a day, so I know it works well enough. But you never know until you really release it into the wild.

This has been a fun experience. I hope to do this again in the future, and I really do hope you enjoy diving deep in Deep Dark Wrath. This has been CraftedCircuitry, signing off for now.
