Warface FAQ #6

Soldiers!

We continue posting the answers to the most burning questions you ask on our Social Media platforms.

Q.: Suggestion: extend the Battle Pass. July the 17th won't be enough for us!
A.: The standard duration of the Battle Pass is 3 months. Sorry, but it cannot be prolonged as we have further plans.

Q.: Is there any update on the NA server issues?
A.: The developers are still investigating the root of these issues. Sorry, but there is no new information at the moment. We apologize for inconvenience caused.

Q.: Change FFA so that the person with the most kills actually wins. I'm tired of being second place although I have 10 kills more only because I didn't jump or slide like crazy. Points should only matter if it's a draw.
A.: Slides and jumps may indicate your skill level. Also you get extra point for a double- triple kills, which cannot be ignored in a free for all mode.

Q.: Please put the “Capture” maps back to Ranked! It’s so boring to play on the same maps!
A.: We do not plan to bring the “Capture” mode back, since the majority of the player base are against the idea.

Q.: Do you have plans for a new season of “TOP GUN”?
A.: Yes, it’s on the way!

Q.: In the roadmap you crossed out the netcode meaning that it’s finished?
A.: The new netcode is implemented into the game, so it’s marked as “done”. However, the developers are still working on it to improve your game experience.

TickRate and Synchronization Changes

Soldiers!

We would like to tell you how we are tackling the issues of the shooting delays. Our server experts continue to work hard on them meaning that the situation may change any moment. We will keep you updated and informed about further changes!
DETAILS
After the Crafting Update, the speed of data exchange between the client and the server (TickRate) was increased to 60 Hz, which was aimed at improving the accuracy of character positioning in PvP matches. In most in-game situations it works as intended; however, some users began to experience micro-delays, while performing actions (most often when dealing damage to enemies and throwing grenades).

To study the problem, we have developed and added global and individual monitoring tools into the game. With their help, we have found out that from time to time, in-game session events produce a very short-term, but abnormally high load on the server. At such moments, most often the flow of the game process is normal, but sometimes there appear "lags" that interfere with shooting.
SHORT-TERM BUT ABNORMALLY HIGH SERVER LOAD CAUSES DELAYS IN DAMAGE REGISTRATION
Naturally, before increasing the TickRate, we more than doubled our game server performance margin in advance. However, although the anomalous load is short-term, it consumes significantly more resources than was planned (up to tens of times more). It is difficult to settle the issue since the error is rare, random and so far has no visible logic.

Currently, the priority task for us is to find the reasons for the appearance of "peaks" of abnormal loads in the server code and eliminate them. It is important to conserve the improved synchronization system that prevents such occurances as teleports and the F12 problem, correcting only those issues that do not allow its advantages to be fully revealed.
WE'LL ADDRESS THE PROBLEMS IN THE NEW SYNCHRONIZATION SYSTEM WITH 60 HZ TICKRATE
To make the gameplay comfortable for you, we have temporarily lowered the TickRate value to 30 Hz (as it was before the Crafting Update installation) during the maintenance on the 1st of July. As soon as the problem with the "60 Hz" mode is fixed, we will carry out the necessary tests and will inform you about the return of the increased TickRate.

Stay tuned and good luck in combat!

Server Restart - 08.07.2020

Dear players!

Servers will be down for scheduled maintenance on 08.07.2020 from 08:00 to 09:00 UTC (10:00 to 11:00 CEST). Please bear in mind you will not be able to access the game during that time.

See you all in game after the restart!

Soon in game: Chiappa Triple Threat

Soldiers!

We are glad to present you Chiappa Triple Threat - a new weapon for Medics that will appear in Warface after the next update. It is the first three-barrelled gun in the game; and it isn't the only surprising feature the Chiappa Triple Threat has. High damage and excellent rate of fire, good hip fire accuracy and decent effective range will definitely interest the choosiest Meds!
CHIAPPA TRIPLE THREAT
The Chiappa Triple Threat is a break-action arm presented by the Italian manufacturer Chiappa Firearms in 2012. The producer chose an unusual way to increase the fire power of a classic double-barrelled shotgun by mounting a third barrel on top of two horizontally positioned ones. The barrels are 470 mm long and form an almost equilateral triangle when cut.

The Chiappa Triple Threat has yet another remarkable feature — a removable wooden buttstock, thanks to which in one easy motion you can turn it into a legal sawn-off shotgun. A super-compact size and mind-blowing firepower make the Chiappa Triple Threat an ideal weapon for self-defense in confined spaces.
WEAPON IN GAME
The Chiappa Triple Threat is a new semi-automatic Medic weapon that offers high damage, excellent rate of fire, good hip fire accuracy and decent effective range. Moreover, the gun deals equal damage to the body and to the extremeties. However, since it is a break-action shotgun, you can fire it only three times before having to reload it. In terms of gameplay, the Chiappa Triple Threat resembles the so much favoured Christmas Gingerbread Gun.

Apart from a sleek aspect, the golden version of the weapon will boast increased effective range.

The unusual barrel configuration makes it impossible to use standard barrel attachments. That’s why the Triple Threat comes equipped with a unique flame suppressor that reduces the damage drop but increases spread. Thus, you will be able to decide what weapon specs are most essential and useful for you in each combat situation.
ACHIEVEMENTS
By killing enemies with this weapon you will be able to get memorable distinctions.

Please note that the specs indicated are preliminary and can be subject to change per general testing results.

Triple your power and effectiveness!
