A very merry update has been installed on the game server, delivering a new "Winter Fest" event with a brand-new mode "King of the Hill", a holly bunch of new thematic items in the "Hygge" and "Yule" series, a festively redecorated "Xmas Trailer Park" map and a number of fixes.

• Fixed a bug, due to which the crash report window would not be visible in full-screen mode.

• F90MBR: fixed a visual bug, due to which the reloading animation wouldn't play in the first person view.

• Fixed a bug due to which players saw notifications about getting achievements, the requirements for which haven't been fulfilled.
  
• Fixed a bug, due to which it was possible to see enemies through a smokescreen when looking through transparent objects (such as car windows) by means of certain graphics settings.
  
• Fixed a bug due to which it was impossible to exit the scoreboard by pressing Esc.
  
• Updated localisation: added missing localisations, fixed some inconsistencies.

The air has a special chill to it, decorations are popping up left and right, the only thing that seems to be missing… is a challenge! Join the Winter Fest, embrace the festivities and of course, get ice cool arms that perfectly fit the season.

[h2]New PvP mode "King of the Hill"[/h2]
In this mode, your goal is to team up and capture and control special points on the map for as long as you can! The longer you hold down the fort, the more points you get, and the team with the most points takes the fruit cake. Easy, right?

[h3]How do the points work?[/h3]
Around the map, you’ll find several control points, but only one is active at a time. That active point is your team's target. You instantly capture the point if you step within the point boundary and there are no enemy players in that radius. If you or anybody from your team are present at the point after capturing it, the point is considered secured, and you get points for every second you remain king of the hill.

If the point you need to capture is under the control of the enemy team, you will first have to show them the door before the point can be captured again. And if both teams are present within the point boundary at the same time, the point becomes neutral and no one gets any points.



[h3]Who wins?[/h3]
The team that scores the most points by the end of the match wins. The fight can end after the timer runs out, or after a team reaches 1000 points. If the score remains equal, the battle will end in a draw.

[h3]Xmas Trailer Park[/h3]
The PvP part of the event will take place on the festively redecorated XMAS Trailer Park map, added especially for the new mode. It has all the incidents for the perfect holiday cheer: snow, gifts, lights and lots of "Easter Eggs"! Can you spot them all?

[h2]PvE part of the event[/h2]
The Special Operations you know and love are back from Santa's workshop and are ready for you to beat them all over again! Take part in the event by completing Special Operations “Villa Valhalla”, “Icebreaker”, “Hydra” and “Swarm”. The event currency is granted only for the first successful mission completion once a week.

[h3]Event Screen[/h3]
On the event screen, you'll see a progress bar with three check-points. A new check-point will unlock once enough event points have scored. You can contribute and score points by completing the event contracts!



Once your progress reaches a check-point, you'll get a thematic reward:

• Hygge Gerber Tomahawk for 1000 event points,
  
• Yule Goat Charm for 2,500 event points,
  
• Hygge Buckled Lupara for 5,000 event points.

[h2]Event showcase with a progress bar[/h2]
Just like in the Halloween event, "Winter Fest" offers a showcase with a reward progress bar.



Each refresh activation adds to the progress bar. When 100% of the bar is reached, you'll get an exclusive offer to choose one of four valuable items as a present. After making your choice, the other items become unavailable, the progress bar resets, and you can fill it up again and reach a new offer. The amount of offers is unlimited. The items for special offers are chosen randomly and may repeat.

[h3]What are the event rewards?[/h3]
Among the event rewards, you'll find weapons from the new "Yule" and “Hygge” series! To get the weapons, you'll need to collect special cards by purchasing them in the event showcase for Black Market Coins. The Black Market offers weapon charms and skins.

"Yule" series
Yule is nigh and the gods of the old are back with a vengeance! Meet the winter solstice with guns blazing and be ready to dish out a feast! The series includes the SA Hellion, Beretta PMX, VEPR VPO-X3 and the OTs-48K MK2.

"Hygge" series
The design of this series whispers of festive fairy-tales, and the patterns on the arms provide a pinch of wintry magic. The series includes the SVCh-54, K&M Arms M17, GForce Arms Huckleberry and the Taurus CT9 G2.

Yule is nigh and that means that the chilly and cheery seasonal update "Northern Lights" is already here! And these seasonal activities are capable of lighting even the darkest winter skies. In this article, we’ll share what activities you’ll be able to participate in during the season, and what goodies are waiting for you. Just select the section that you want to learn more about.

Were you naughty or nice this year? Well, that doesn’t matter, since the “Polar Bear” weapon series and other thematic rewards will be available through the BP progression for all players!

And don’t forget that you can still get the basic BP access for 25,000 WF$!

UPD: The "Northern Lights" Battle Pass will be active until February 8th, 2024.


The Battle Pass offers several types of rewards:

• for the main progression (camos, weapon charms, permanent secondary weapons and achievements);
  
• for the additional progression (BP coins);
  
• for daily and class-specific contracts (a seasonal weapon box for the former, and BP coins and a cool class achievement for the latter);
  
• weapons and parts in the seasonal shop line-up.
  

[h2]More About the Rewards[/h2]
This season, the Battle Pass is offering you to wield the power of an Arctic blizzard. Inside you will find the "Polar Bear" weapon series, thematic charms, as well as achievements. This series looks like it withstood ice-cold storms, claws and teeth and even weeks of sunless days. Will you?

[h3]Series "Polar Bear"[/h3]
The "Polar Bear" series’ design will definitely bring a chill down anybody's spine. Decorated in the style of the season itself, these weapons can tell you a story without using a single word. In it, you’ll find the SA Hellion, ICE-AXE, Taurus Raging Hunter 44, Beretta PMX, Barrett M82A1, Kalashnikov USA KHAOS Shotgun, Mauser C96 Custom, Hunting Knife, and Desert Eagle.

[h3]Daily Contract[/h3]
While most of the Battle Pass mechanics are unchanged, you will see a slight difference in the daily contact. Now, the cost of activating the daily contract is 2,500 Warface Dollars instead of 500 Crowns!


This season's shop line-up offers two types of rewards: parts that you can get of up to 10,000 pcs., and four excellent guns with mod slots from the "Polar Bear" series: PP-2011 Kedr-Para, Sabatti STR 308, GForce Arms Huckleberry, and HK 433.


Both temporary and permanent weapon versions can be obtained with coins in the shop. Parts are sold in batches.

To get permanent weapons, you would need to consequently purchase the preceding temporary versions: the ones for 3, 5, 7, and 9 days.

UPD: The "Northern Lights" prestige season will be active until February 22nd, 2024.

Prestige levels are additional levels (from the 101st to the 1000th) in the progression system that you can unlock as long as the seasonal activity is on. Progressing through the prestige levels is the same as with regular levels: you play and gain XP for every battle. The only difference is that prestige levels require more XP and are reset each season.

Changes that took place this season:

• The list of level rewards has been updated: it now features the golden versions of the SA Hellion, Benelli M2 SP, Taurus CT9 G2 and OTs-48K MK2.

UPD: The "Northern Lights" Ranked Matches season will be active until February 22nd, 2024.

Changes that took place this season:

• We added demotion protection for the higher leagues. Now, similar to lower leagues, if you qualify for any of the leagues from Diamond to Grandmaster, after losing a match and rolling back to the previous league, you will be given a couple of “safe” matches, in which you won't be demoted no matter the outcome.
  
• Progressing through the RM leagues is now a little easier. To advance through a league for the first time, you'd need to score all the necessary wins, but next time you get one match for free!
  
• We have improved match cancellations and penalties for the incomplete teams. Now, if a team loads into a match and one of the players disconnects and doesn't return before the allotted time, the team receives an option to leave within a certain timeframe for the match to be cancelled.
  
• Devices are now available in the Ranked store! Inside you’ll find: Sticky Grenade, Throwing Tomahawk, Adrenaline and the Molotov.
  
• The seasonal shop now offers new items, including the exclusive “Killer Whale” weapon series and thematic charms and achievements.
  

Quick reminder: the ranked currency for the seasonal shop does not expire and will be transferred to the next season.

UPD: The "Northern Lights" PvE season will be active until February 22nd, 2024.

Changes that took place this season:

• We added cumulative rewards for "Hard" Missions. Previously, to get everything out of a special operation, the player needed to play every difficulty level separately. Now, playing a level on Hard will grant the player not only the rewards for that level, but for the previous ones as well.
  
• More special operations in every difficulty are now available in the reworked PvE system: Icebreaker, Hydra, Swarm.
  
• The PvE shop now offers new items, including the exclusive “Wolfpack” weapon series, devices and parts.

You’ve heard of an Advent Calendar, but what about an Advent Contact? Well, that goodie filled contact is already available in the game! Just log in every day, complete small daily tasks, and get wintry rewards. Among which you’ll find weapons from the Glacier series, festive melee weapons and exclusive charms and achievements!

The upcoming game update will feature new headshot sound and visual effects. Here's a sneak peek.

Dev comments: There used to be no audio or visual feedback, letting the player know they've performed a headshot kill. We wanted the game to be more rewarding and transparent in this respect.

Now, a sequence of headshots will have a new mind-blowing sound effect to let you know just how skilled you are. Moreover, the headshot and headshot kill will have a new visual effect that will indicate if you are done with your opponent or if there's more lead to deliver.
