Soon in game: technical performance monitoring

Soldiers!

After the next update, Warface will have several tools for tracking important technical parameters such as Internet connection and PC performance. The monitoring tools will allow you to choose the optimal equipment settings for comfortable gaming. In case there occur any problems (we hope, there will not be any), special indicators will promptly notify you about this.
Details
A high-quality Internet connection and high FPS are absolutely essential for a comfortable gaming experience. Therefore, for a convenient and prompt assessment of these indicators' state while playing Warface, we have added special monitoring tools and problem indicators.

Monitoring tools display in real time the status of the main parameters of the Internet connection and hardware.

 • Frame rate (FPS)
 • CPU time
 • GPU time
 • Ping
 • Server tick
 • Packet loss
 • Total hardware latency before rendering (for video cards supporting SDK NVIDIA Reflex and DirectX 11).

The Server tick value in the game is displayed in milliseconds. It is the time between sending data packets. To find out the number of transfers per second, you need to divide 1000 ms (that is 1 s) by this number. For example, in the PvP graph, the Server tick value is 16.6 ms. Dividing 1000 by 16.6, we get ~ 60 transfers, which is the current TickRate.

Data can be shown both as text and as graphs. The activation and selection of the tool display method can be carried out in the "Statistics" tab of the game settings window.

If the value of one or more parameters becomes critical for gameplay, new problem indicators in the upper right corner of the screen will notify you about this. However, we hope you will never know what they look like.

Low FPS. This parameter depends directly on the hardware of the PC, and if it lacks resources, the image will become less smooth. In some cases, this can lead to freezes when the image on the screen freezes for a while. Learn more.

High ping. The server and the game client interact by exchanging data packets. If it takes a data packet to be sent from the game client to the server and back too long, the quality of the gameplay will deteriorate significantly (there will be issues with damage registration, teleports, etc.). Learn more.

Packet loss. If data packets do not reach the client or the server, players may also experience similar problems (for example, the character will be moving in jerks).

Connection losses. If serious difficulties arise in the exchange of data between the client and the server, further gameplay becomes impossible. This usually happens when there are problems with the Internet connection. Learn more.

We hope you will appreciate the new monitoring tools!

Closing crafting system on the game website

Soldiers!

We have already notified you about the imminent closing of the website crafting system and asked you to get ready and try to assemble the desired guns during these months. There is very little time left before the first stage of the systen shutdown — starting from October 13, you will no longer get resource crates for combat. It is a good idea to collect or use up the maximum number of resources till then!

We have another important news: in the future, players will be able to exchange the accumulated resources for in-game crafting cards. This way, you will continue to assemble the desired weapons, and if necessary, you can exchange extra cards for free ones. But let's consider the issue in more detail!

Transition to 64-bit and DirectX 11 Support

Soldiers!

Since the last year, the Warface team has been carrying out a smooth transition to 64-bit. We will soon discontinue our support for 32-bit OS and start supporting DirectX 11. Read carefully to understand the upcoming changes!
Transition to 64-only
In one of the next updates, we will fully discontinue our support for 32-bit systems that are now still used by a small percentage of players. If you are one of them, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to 64-bit Windows as soon as possible. Read how to do this in a dedicated article. You can find the system requirements here.
TRANSITION TO 64-ONLY WILL REMOVE A SERIES OF RESTRICTIONS AND OPEN UP NEW DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES!
The transition to 64-bit aims to kill two birds with one stone:

 • to improve (optimize) game performance on PCs;
 • to provide new opportunities for future global content development.

Change to 64-bit systems will shorten the development of new content and allow to elaborate higher quality and more varied gameplay on a larger scale as well as improve performance for modern PCs giving the game client the opportunity to use more RAM. User PCs with fewer RAM will be able to employ the page file more efficiently, thus avoiding client crashes.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING 64-BIT WINDOWS!
You can learn more about the transition to 64-bit in the previous publications.
About support for DirectX 11
After one of the next updates, the game client will support DirectX 11. This will make it possible to take advantage of modern graphics processors to improve quality and performance as well as eliminate a number of issues with DirectX 9.

No worries for the owners of video cards that do not support DirectX 11 - you will still be able to use DirectX 9. When launching Warface, the game client will automatically detect which version of DirectX is supported by the player's computer and will run the corresponding executable file. If for some reason the player wants to select the DirectX version manually, he or she can do it via a special option that will appear in the Game Center.

DirectX 11 Executable Library System Requirements

 • Windows 7 and Windows Vista with Platform Update or higher;
 • video cards ATI Radeon HD2000 or higher or Nvidia GeForce 8100 or higher;
 • the processor graphics core GMA X3100 or higher.

The Warface minimum system requirements are higher than the requirements of the DirectX 11 executable libraries. If your computer meets them, then you should not worry. You can check out the game system requirements here.

Stay tuned for further changes. See you in game!

Soon in game: Halloween content

Soldiers!

The most mystical day of the year is nigh meaning that it's time for scary tales to unveil brand new festive Halloween content.

The modern name of the holiday comes from the phrase "All Hallows' Eve" and appeared after the spread of Christianity in the British Isles. According to some theories, Halloween takes its origin in the pagan holiday Samhain which was celebrated on the last day of the Celtic calendar to mark the end of summer. On this day, the Celts gave their thanks for the harvest, burned sacred fires and bid farewell to the year passed. It was believed that on Samhain, evil spirits penetrated the world of the living.

On Halloween, wicked ghosts reign supreme in Warface creating a very special creepy atmosphere of the game.
"Halloween" Series
We are happy to present you the "Halloween" weapon series, a perfect combination of lethal power of potent guns and a unique themed design. The weapons are decorated with the popular Halloween symbols: sinister Jack-o'-lanterns with a nasty cemetery with the living dead on the background. The fantastic colourful decoration patterns on the weapons' frames will surely impress your opponents and delight you. Apart from the guns, there are camouflages set in the same style.

By eliminating opponents with the weapons of the "Halloween" series, you can get unique achievements - a mark, a badge and a stripe.
Themed Weapon Charms
Themed weapon decorations will send chills down your enemies' spines! The game will offer 5 new charms dedicated to Halloween and designed as symbols of this spooky holiday. You can mount the accessories on the guns listed below.
Pumpkin Claymore
One of the most recognizable Halloween attributes is the Jack-o'-lantern that has now become even deadlier! Unlike other mines in Warface, the unique pumpkin claymore can be thrown right at the enemy's feet. At the same time, it will roll off inclined surfaces or bounce off walls like a grenade. The pumpkin destroys everything around it and deals as much damage as the M18 Claymore.

The new item is resilient to boots with a claymore detonation delay and cannot be destroyed by a shot; however, it disappears from the map on its own 25 seconds after being thrown.
Festive Helmets
Meet and greet new helmets that can scare off even the most seasoned fighters! The helmets feature a unique look for each class and will become a great match for the "Halloween" vests. The helmets increase head protection by 40% and reduce the flashbang effect by 40%.
"Frankenstein" Series
Another series oozing the spirit of the most creepy holiday! These weapons look really intimidating and clearly hint to the enemy that you are not the one to joke with. Apart from the Frankenstein guns, you will also find similar skins.

By killing enemies using the "Frankenstein" weapons, you can earn stripes of the weapon expert!

Please note that the specs indicated are preliminary and can be subject to change per general testing results.

It's trick or treat time!
