Regarding “Mutiny” and plans for future Battle Passes

In today’s publication we’d like to share with you the overall players’ reactions to the “Mutiny” Battle Pass and our plans for the development of future global operations that will be improved and fine-tuned according to our players’ feedback.

[h3]MUTINY [/h3]



The first large-scale in-game Battle Pass “Mutiny” received more negative feedback in comparison with its previous web-based counterparts. We have thoroughly studied your reviews and comments to identify its weak spots and make the global operation more enjoyable.

In the full-fledged in-game Battle Pass, players least liked the "daily tasks" system and the reward gain. The combination of a weekly mission + daily tasks has not fully lived up to the expectations either. There were frequent complaints that the challenges were too difficult or boring.

On the positive side, many players liked the rewards themselves especially the exclusive skins.

To sum up, the Battle Pass participants did not consider the rewards worthy of the effort spent to unlock them, while a number of difficult missions made the impression produced by "Mutiny" less satisfying.

Since the reactions to this fundamental Battle Pass mechanic were not positive, the previous global operations “Dark Samurai” and “Gorgon” still receive higher ratings.

[h3]WHAT’S NEXT?[/h3]



Naturally, the feedback on “Mutiny” influenced our vision of future Battle Passes, and upcoming operations will be developed and polished taking into account this data.

It stands to mention that elaboration of an in-game Battle Pass is quite a lengthy process. When "Mutiny" was launched, the next operation was already at the deep production stage. Therefore, we will not be able to completely rework it; otherwise, it will be released with a considerable delay. In the future, we will study your wishes and suggestions more carefully.

The following modifications will be realized in the future Battle Pass:

  • You will be able to gain more XP by completing daily tasks.
  • Upon finishing all missions of all types, full access holders will be able to gain more than 150% of progress, that is, one and a half times more than needed to get the maximum rewards. You can earn more than 100% of progress without the paid access. Thus, players will be able to more often select tasks they like and skip less enjoyable ones.
  • Some challenges will be simplified. We will remove missions that players consider inconvenient.
  • The cost of all rewards that can be obtained by a full access player will exceed 25,000 Kredits, while the number of temporary rewards will be reduced.

  • Make golden guns have no repair cost again.

We are not going to bring this option back since it is going to harm the game economy. Golden weapons have advanced stats - this is the only advantage we want them to have at the moment.

  • What is the possibility of making a version 2.0 of the Overpass map? Since it is a very old map that has been removed from the game.

Most likely that it won’t make a comeback.

  • Will you remove Blitz from RM?

Some time ago we launched the opinion survey on our Social Media to determine the opinion of the majority. The result will go public with the next RM season.

  • I would like to know if it is possible to receive any kind of support for events at the North American Warface.

We are looking for the best solution for this issue. Currently, we’re considering introducing maps rotation, merge EU and NA servers and revise the servers structure to decrease the matchmaking time.

Soon in game: "Swarm" Battle Pass Rewards

Along with the new special operation, the new themed season of “Swarm” Battle pass is also on its way. This article is dedicated to new global event rewards. Remember: “Swarm” — is not only a special operation and battle pass, but also a load of new themed content, which will be available in a few weeks!

[h2]IWI CARMEL[/h2]
Participants with premium access can collect 1000 free cards by reaching the highest level in the “Swarm” Battle Pass. The reward can be exchanged for a new weapon — IWI Carmel assault rifle.

The new assault rifle offers combat specs similar to those of one of the most favoured weapons - AK-12. The IWI Carmel differs from the latter due to a slightly increased rate of fire and a greater attachment variability. These advantages are offset by a lower effective range.



[h2]APPEARANCES[/h2]
During the “Swarm” Battle Pass you can get lots of rewards — new appearances are also in the list. Equip new skins and join the “Arachnid” squad in the fights against the unknown alien threat. Most effective and experienced fighters can join an elite combat squad: their sprint distance will increase by 60%.



You can get “Arachnid” appearances by reaching 33,43,61 and 91st levels of Battle Pass. As for Elite “Arachnid” squad appearances, they are waiting for players with premium access on the 10,20,30 and 40th levels.

[h2]WEAPON SERIES[/h2]
The “Swarm” Operation features the clean-up squad that discovered secret weapon blueprints, which Blackwood was going to use in a fight against an alien enemy somewhere in Nevada. All the supplies were captured by our team and are now heading right to the Warface scientists.

[h3]"CHITIN"[/h3]
”Chitin” weapon series features a unique look with lots of bright colours and is made in the “Swarm” style. The appearance of these weapons will definitely remind you of certain locations in the new special operation. The series contains only powerhouse guns for all classes!



By landing killing blows with the “Chitin” series weapons, you'll get memorable distinctions.

[h3]"TOXIСITY"[/h3]
“Toxicity” weapon series can also boast some bright colours. On the body of the weapon, you can see a pattern with some graffiti elements and a silhouette of one of the most dangerous enemies in the “Swarm” operation. This series includes primary arms for all classes, as well as some secondary and melee weapons.



By landing killing blows with the “Toxicity” series weapons, you'll get memorable distinctions.

[h2]CHARMS[/h2]
The list of available charms will be expanded with new five bright items. All of them are featuring “Swarm” Battle Pass style, dedicated to the global event and will become a pleasant reminder of the fights against arachnids. Expand your collection, customize your weapons and enjoy your stylish gun in the battle!



[h3]WEAPONS WHICH CAN BE CUSTOMIZED WITH CHARMS[/h3]
Charms can be installed on every weapon from the list below: it will be expanded as the new charm series will appear in the game. Moreover, you will be able to install a new charm on the weapons for the previous list.



[h2]“SWARM” ACHIEVEMENTS[/h2]
Participants of the new Battle Pass can get unique achievements and decorate their profile. Get them all and demonstrate your skill in fights against aliens!

In future updates, the Rifleman's arsenal will be expanded with a new assault rifle IWI Carmel. This model will appeal to shooters who appreciate a high rate of fire, excellent damage and the possibility to modify the weapon depending on their combat needs.

DETAILS[/h2]

The assault rifle sporting a classic layout was developed by the Israeli manufacturer Israel Weapons Industries (IWI) and was presented to the general public at an exhibition in Rio de Janeiro in 2019. The weapon has a gas regulator, a rotating bolt and a short-stroke gas piston. A Picatinny rail integrated into the receiver cover allows the shooter to equip various sighting devices. The weapon is chambered for a 5.56 × 45 mm (.223 Remington) NATO cartridge.

The new assault rifle offers combat specs similar to those of one of the most favoured weapon AK-12. The IWI Carmel differs from the latter due to a slightly increased rate of fire and a greater attachment variability. These advantages are offset by a lower effective range.

The model has 4 unique attachments: a reflex sight, a grip, a suppressor and a silencer.

  • The IWI Carmel Supressor reduces damage drop, increases penetration and slightly reduces scope shake.
  • The UTG Ambi Combat D Grip decreases spread by 15%, reduces recoil by 15% and increases reload speed.
  • The silencer IWI Carmel makes shooting stealthier, reduces damage by 5% and decreases spread by 20%.
  • The fast-zoom 1.3x reflex sight Mepro M5 reduces barrel sway by 80%.

November Hotfix - 11.11.20 [UPD]



Soldiers!

A minor hotfix to the current game version has been installed on the Warface servers. Check out the information and evaluate the changes in the game!

UPD: At 12:45 UTC (13:45 CET), DirectX 11 support was disabled. We recommend restarting the Game Center and updating the Warface client.

Important: DirectX 11 support is in a testing mode now. If you are facing any problems (such as client crashes) please follow the steps below:
  1. Press a small arrow near the "Play" button in the Game centre.
  2. Choose "Game settings".
  3. Uncheck the DirectX 11 support button and press OK.

In case it doesn't help, please contact our Support service.

Technical improvements


[h2]DirectX 11 Support[/h2]

The game client is featuring DirectX 11 support in a testing mode. It will help the system use modern graphics processors more efficiently and increase performance quality, solving a few problems caused by DirectX 9 at the same time. The game centre can automatically check which version of DirectX is supported by the player’s computer at the moment — and open the corresponding application. Read the details.

In case we face any unexpected issues during the testing, DirectX 11 support may be disabled.

[h2]NVIDIA Reflex[/h2]

Along with the DirectX 11 support, Warface players will also enjoy brand new NVIDIA Reflex technology decreasing system delay, which can appear between the moment you press the key and its appearance on the screen. You can enable this technology in the graphics setting menu. NVIDIA Reflex can work in a normal mode as well as the turbo one, which disables energy-saving mode in order to work with higher efficiency. We will tell more about the NVIDIA Reflex technology in a dedicated article.

Other changes


  • Now the client with a DirectX 11 support consumes fewer system resources in a minimized window mode.
  • Safehouse content was updated for the upcoming “Swarm” special operation — location is slightly different now, and the shooting range can boast some new targets, looking like arachnids. Apart from that, new mini-game for your shooting skills has been added to the shooting range. You can start the game with a special terminal with a green indicator in the centre of the shooting gallery.
  • Halloween celebration is over. Themed “Farm” and “Street wars” maps as well as the music theme are back to their original versions.


[h2]Bug fixes[/h2]

  • Typhoon F12 Custom "Guardian": fixed the problem due to which weapon had a wrong description.
  • FN P90 Custom, HCAR Auto, M16A3 Custom "Fiesta", Golden Katana, Golden FN SCAR-H, SIG MPX SBR Custom "Frankenstein": fixed the problem due to which kills didn’t count for these weapons during the “Mutiny” battle pass.
