There's a multiplayer mod for The Witcher 3 so you can turn one of the finest singleplayer RPGs of all time into an MMO instead

modder called rejuvenate, previously responsible for the Wolven Trainer (which bundles together freecam, a time-of-day changer, a wardrobe editor, and a bunch of other tweaks), has finally done it. The Witcher 3 is multiplayer now...

The Witcher 3 now has online multiplayer thanks to a mod, allowing gaggles and gangs of Geralts to gather

As much as single-player solitude's a big reason why I love getting lost in The Witcher 3, running around its world with a small crew of mates also seems like it'd be a nice time. A good thing it is then that a new mod for the decade old RPG allows it to host online multiplayer sessions with several players running amok at once.

You can now play Witcher 3's entire campaign in multiplayer, which is a perfect excuse to return to The Continent with pals

Hundreds of cut voice lines lurk within The Witcher 3's game files, ranging from simple one-liners to dialogue choices and even entire cutscenes...

I was somewhat surprised that Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red decided to sell its online games store GOG late in 2025, but unsurprised by who bought it. Michał Kiciński was a co-founder and joint CEO of CDPR, including in 2008 when it launched GOG. After parting ways with the company in 2011, he's reacquired the storefront in order to challenge Steam's hegemony and commit to providing players with DRM-free games for them to play any time, any place.
