This Witcher 3 mod ditches Triss for The Witcher 2's Sabrina Glevissig

Sure, the whole Triss versus Yennefer debate can be a little reductive in boiling down a complex web of relationships and intrigues into a contest. Still, Witcher 3 fans have their favourites and for various reasons Triss isn't really one of mine, so an option to swap her for another cool sorceress sounds pretty fun. A new Witcher 3 mod lets you do just that, switching Merigold out and The Witcher 2's Sabrina Glevissig in.

"Are you bored of dear darling Triss? Or are you fan of the Lodge? This mod can change your Triss into Sabrina Glevissig," modder Karkulizin explains. It sounds like it's essentially a re-skin mod, with no indication that it changes Triss' voiceover or quests, but the character model is impressive and would certainly give you the sense you were playing alongside a whole other character.

With Sabrina only appearing in 2011's The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - well, and that random Witcher 1 module a bit - it looks like the modder has had to do a fair bit of work to update her appearance to bring her into the much newer Witcher 3. And she looks just the part - instantly recognisable from the fantasy game series' second major title, but visually indistinguishable from the base game's characters.

Yup, The Witcher 3 looks to run just fine on a Steam Deck

While Valve yesterday were busy cracking open a Steam Deck, CD Projekt Red showed us a game actually running on one. They've posted a series of short videos of them playing The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt on Valve's handheld PC and yup, that seems to run well enough. The game might be a few years old now, but it's still one of best RPGs—and honestly the sort of endless sprawling game I might rather play on-and-off on a handheld.

Here's a look at The Witcher 3 running on Steam Deck

Fancy a look at what The Witcher 3 looks like running on Steam Deck? Sure you do, and you can see it for yourself below in this tweet from the official Witcher Game Twitter account.

What you are seeing is the latest update to the game running on Valve’s upcoming handheld.

It appears to be running well, although we only get to see Geralt riding through town on Roach. It doesn’t give us a look at any fighting or any other scenes which made the CPU on my old machine rebel in protest. Still, it’s a look at a game that can be graphics-intensive when run on high settings being played on a handheld.

The Witcher is getting a second anime and a "kids and family" show

The Witcher series seems to be doing very well for Netflix, as the streaming service has just announced several new projects for the franchise that produced one of the best RPGs ever made. These include a brand new anime movie to follow up Nightmare of the Wolf, and a "kids and family" show.

Netflix had its big 'Tudum' event this weekend, bringing with it a load of great new announcements and trailers for various shows, including all the details on the League of Legends animated series Arcane. On The Witcher side of things, Netflix revealed a first look at the Blood Origin prequel series and confirmed that Season 3 of the show was already greenlit.

There also was a couple of big new announcements, although sadly without much detail. The first is the reveal that a second The Witcher anime movie is on the way, which will presumably act as a follow-up to last month's Nightmare of the Wolf starring young Vesemir - although that hasn't been confirmed, and it hasn't got a title.
