Life Below will be playable at Gamescom!

[p]Life Below blends realism with fantasy in a unique twist on the city-builder genre and you can be among the first to help restore the ocean at Gamescom, in Cologne later this month.[/p][p]The ocean is on the brink. Coral reefs are vanishing, ecosystems are collapsing and the deep sea is struggling. As fledgling reef guardian Thalassa, you must restore balance, using the ocean floor itself as the foundation to build a new vibrant sea life.[/p][p]In this underwater city-builder with elements of resource management and survival, you won’t be placing buildings and roads - instead you’ll strategically grow coral, create bustling reefs and attract diverse marine species to use their abilities and bring colour back into the depths of the ocean.[/p][p]Experience Thalassa’s journey at Gamescom on 20-24th August. See you there![/p][p][/p]

Introducing Life Below…

If you’re a fan of city builders, this one’s for you - but with an ocean twist… Kasedo Games are teaming up with Megapop, the talented studio behind Life Below, to bring an underwater city-builder to life.

In Life Below, you’re not building cities.. You’re building reefs. Think chill strategy meets underwater eco-restoration. Grow coral, attract sea creatures and evolve entire underwater ecosystems to survive the ever-changing ocean.

You play as Thalassa, a guardian of the deep, bringing life back into the oceans. You’ll grow and expand your reef, craft habitats, lure wildlife and tackle a range of ocean hazards.

We’re thrilled to have Rhianna Pratchett on board, bringing her incredible storytelling to this narrative-driven reef builder. Life Below also aims to be accessible to all, developed with accessibility consultant Arevya and the charity SpecialEffect, who are helping us shape features that make a real impact.

Life Below will be making a splash on Windows PC next year, but you won’t have to wait that long to test the waters! Try the demo on World Ocean Day (8 June) and during Steam Next Fest (9-16 June).

Wishlist today over on Steam, be the first to dive into our shiny new Discord server and follow us on Twitter/X and BlueSky to keep up to date with all the latest news from the deep!
