The Road To Launch Starts Now!

[/p][p]We’re just four days out of launch and cannot wait for you to take a journey to the Ark later this week! [/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]To prepare for this, we have taken down the demo for Monsters are Coming! Rock and Road and wanted to thank you all for your kind and encouraging words about the game. We have loved reading your suggestions, reactions and feedback, and it means the world that you took the time to try - and review - the demo, getting it into Very Positive![/p][p][/p][p]Since we first introduced it back in August, we have been steadily tweaking and improving aspects of the main game, and things have now evolved to such a degree that the demo is no longer an accurate representation of what Monsters will launch into. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, this also means that the save states will not carry over into the full game. [/p][p][/p][p]Your suggestions, both from the Closed Beta and demo period, have been invaluable and helped shape the changes we’ve made these past months. Among those tweaks are adjustments to the meta-progression system. This includes everything from how long it takes to unlock certain towers and power-ups to the overall difficulty and balancing of the game. On top of that, we’ve implemented a new compass currency system that is rewarded at the end of each run and helps further your progress even on failed attempts. [/p][p][/p][p]Another big change you’ll notice at release is that the side hordes during shelters have been overhauled and adjusted to encourage you to try for bigger, rarer treasures. There’s more incentive to go off the beaten path, but it won’t be easy, so you’ll need to balance the risk versus the reward. [/p][p] [/p][p]So, in short, we are really excited to open the doors this Thursday, where Monsters will be available for $8.99 with a 12% discount at launch. You’ll also be able to play Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road Day One on Xbox Game Pass for Windows, and we’re also excited to reveal several bundles on launch day with some of the biggest games in the genre. But more on those closer to the release day.
