[p]Our team continues to work hard on The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian, and we are all eagerly looking forward to finally sharing the results of our efforts with you.[/p][p]Work on the main storyline, scenes, dialogues, and interludes is nearly complete, but there is still much to be done: editing, balancing, polishing the interface, and adding features that enhance the overall gameplay experience.[/p][p]We are putting all our effort into making the game truly engaging, refined, and fully aligned with our vision. To achieve this, we will need to play through the game many times from beginning to end, carefully examining every screen and every scene.[/p][p]To make the wait more exciting and to help you better understand what to expect from the game, we’ve decided to share updates about the development process, the world of the game, and the characters you will encounter.[/p][p][/p][p]First, we want to talk about the principles that guide Schisma Games: what the studio stands for today, and what mattered most to us during the development of The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante.[/p][p]Our main strength is the narrative: a story that forces the player to make choices and take responsibility for them. Mechanics are not an end in themselves — they are simply tools that connect choices and ensure meaningful consequences.[/p][p]We are creating a game where decisions truly matter. For this principle to work, every choice must be not only an opportunity, but also a conscious rejection of something else. By choosing one path, you forfeit many others. That is why we create so many branches and narrative paths: they represent not only freedom, but also the possibilities you give up.[/p]
The Principle of Focused Storytelling
[p]Nothing goes into the game unless it serves the theme, the protagonist’s journey, or the central conflict. There is no farming, no grinding, no filler content meant merely to pass the time — only what is essential to the narrative, powerful emotions, and the overarching artistic vision.[/p]
The Principle of Authorial Neutrality
[p]We do not impose any beliefs on the player, nor do we favor the protagonist. Our primary goal is to give you the freedom to express yourself, to choose your own truth, and to experience the story in the way that feels right to you.[/p][p]Even if we personally sympathize with certain characters or ideas, this must not affect the game. The game is a space of freedom, where each of us searches for ourselves.[/p][p]Most importantly, we are making this game for you — and with great passion.[/p][p]Thank you for your patience and your continued interest! 🤍[/p][p]Share in the comments what captivated you most about Brante’s story? Which plot twist caught you off guard? Which character stayed with you long after the credits rolled? Your feedback inspires us deeply and gives us the strength to keep working forward.[/p][p] [/p]
