Dev Log #1 - Forest Biome First Look

I know it have been a while since any news were typed. So a quick recap...
Developing is going slowly but steady.
Every once in a while a Dev Log will be dropped with a rarity (Common - Uncomment - Rare - Legendary) depending on how hot the news is. I will start with a Common Dev Log.

Forest Biome

2 new biomes were promised in the demo (Forest & Desert) and they will be delivered
here comes first look at first biome The River Forest



as you can see many trees that blocks far sight



of course a river



also a road for vehicles but they will not be in straight line. You cant just go full speed and skip the tile like the city and roads are not flat



the river split the tile into 2 parts. spoiler alert it wont be that easy to cross it. If tile have more stars then a bridge will likely spawn to safely cross the river even with vehicles.



the question you will be asking is, why there are only 2 place holders in the tile ?. well, that will be answered in next dev logs but use your imagination there are reasons

ALOT of teaks and rework will be made to make the tile playable. Because you cant really fight nightmares while you cant see anything because of trees



another spoiler here for smart people who will just try to swim to cross the river "DON'T". you really think it will that easy ? "Evil Laugh Noises"



I'm sure some player will just go full speed in the forest and will end up losing the vehicle.

The Dreamers Foresight Demo v1.0.4

The Dreamers Foresight release date will be delayed. The game is still being mapped out, all suggestion are welcomed in Discord

Getting the demo ready for next fest

[h2]Changed[/h2]

  • (Furnace Chimney) Spinning Flame Attack Buffed by 300%, old: 3 Dmg/Sec - New: 15 Dmg/Sec
  • If (Furnace Chimney) knocked out of map it will respawn in same tile and get damaged for 10% of its max health
  • Added button sound for when player uses shortcuts to use a card
  • Added button sound for card sub-buttons
  • If an enemy hit a car with a velocity then both will take damage and vice versa
  • Game will now auto pause if game lost focus (of course will make an option to turn this off, but that's future me task)
  • Player will now be seen by enemy if he attacked an enemy while having high stealth modifier
  • Added animation for live map anchor
  • Player will now start game sitting down rather than spawn from no where
  • Player will now know where he will spawn before going to play mode
  • Increased map view camera speed, and decreased drag to prevent misplacement of tiles

[h3]Optimization[/h3]

  • Improved all pathfinding calculations for enemies

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]

  • Fixed weapon modifier (+Energy next Turn) not stack energy if weapon used more than once
  • Fixed weapon modifier (+Energy next Turn) not stacking with modifer (+Energy if killed an enemy)
  • Fixed (Stone Bender) not rotating correctly when using spin attack and cant reach player
  • Fixed softlock if player knocked (Furnace Chimney) out of map
  • Fixed enemies not detecting player if the player attacked an enemy with a car
