[p]This new pack contains unique gameplay elements contained within 5 Expert-level Scenarios, along with a new timetable for the Kassel - Würzburg route.[/p][p]It will be priced at €9.99/£7.99/$9.99[/p][p]Timetable Gameplay and Scenarios[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Expert DB BR 101 delivered the ultimate in-depth simulation experience for IC traffic in Train Sim World. TSG introduced multiple variants and liveries of the iconic locomotive, twinned with its sleek cab car, in a study-level format for use on routes throughout Germany and beyond such as Salzburg - Rosenheim, Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn and more.[/p][p]In this Gameplay Pack, a comprehensive expansion of Expert 101 experiences is up for grabs. Accelerate to a faster pace on Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel - Würzburg (currently the longest route in the franchise) in a suite of new Scenarios and an authentic timetable which are designed from the ground up to further test your mettle.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Throughout the Scenarios, look for unique details such as voiceovers, in-cab written orders and alterations to the scenery! Experience the route as it was in 2018 with the new timetable, race between Kassel, Fulda and Würzburg across IC services and more. A total of 6 hours of additional Scenario gameplay is included with many more hours to play in timetable mode![/p][p]Expert level Scenarios:[/p][p]A new set of expert-level Scenarios will put your driving skills and BR 101 knowledge to the test on Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel - Würzburg.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]These Scenarios contain detailed gameplay elements unique to this release:[/p]
  • [p]All Scenarios feature voice-overs to set the scene.[/p]
  • [p]Two Scenarios require the Expert DB BR 101 to be 'cold started'.[/p]
  • [p]Some Scenarios have dynamic changes to the environment during certain stages, including track being ripped up as part of engineering works. (These changes are unique to Scenarios. No such changes are made in timetable mode).[/p]
  • [p]One Scenario begins with dynamic camera movement[/p]
  • [p]One Scenario begins with you riding a train hauled by the DB BR 101. You are then asked to takeover once it stops.[/p]

  • [p]Diversion: Engineering inspections are taking place to ensure that the bridges and viaducts are safe for use. Delays and wrong line running are to be expected.[/p]
  • [p]Interference: Drive IC 1972 from Fulda to Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe accompanied by your Trainer. The stormy weather may provide some challenges along the way.[/p]
  • [p]Keep Running: Rowdy passengers are causing drama on a Saturday night. Ensure your passengers are safely delivered to their destinations.[/p]
  • [p]Rescue: IC 1172 is stranded between Kassel and Fulda! Start a rescue mission from Würzburg and tow the failed train to Fulda.[/p]
  • [p]Evacuation: Rescue stranded passengers on a broken down ICE service. Prepare your loco from cold and then rush to the scene.[/p]
[p]New 2018 Kassel - Würzburg Timetable[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]A new 2018 timetable will also be available for players with this Gameplay Pack.[/p][p]This new timetable will feature:[/p]
  • [p]Revamped IC layer with many more 101 services, plus the use of the cab car, including some light loco runs where LZB use is prohibited[/p]
  • [p]Reworked ICE layer to swap around ICE 1 and ICE 3 formations where appropriate, and including the addition of a DB BR 411 ICE-T layer from Frankfurt - Fulda[/p]
  • [p]Added a layer for 2x FlixTrain BR 193 services[/p]
  • [p]Added a high-speed railtour layer for Linke Rheinstrecke’s DB BR 103 and Mittenwaldbahn’s IC Rheingold coaches[/p]
  • [p]Reworked freight layers, including allowing Semmeringbahn’s ÖBB 1116 to substitute into them[/p]
  • [p]Added realistic AI to multiple points along the route where the high-speed line interacts or passes conventional rail lines[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Train Sim World 5: Expert DB BR 101 on Kassel - Würzburg Gameplay Pack will release on Thursday 31st July for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Steam for €9.99/£7.99/$9.99[/p][p]You can watch the Preview Stream hosted by Lukas, Matt and Jan on Thursday 17th July over on YouTube, and Twitch, at 1900 UTC.[/p][p]Expert DB BR 101 & IC Steuerwagen Add-on[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This gameplay pack requires players to own the Expert DB BR 101 & IC Steuerwagen Add-on, released in 2024. This ‘Expert’ loco is a much more complex, challenging and detailed version of the separate DB BR 101 locomotive Add-on that was released back in 2021.[/p][p]The Add-on features a level of interaction that requires considerable knowledge of the real-world locomotive’s systems and requires use of a Manual to understand some of the processes that are simulated. These include 'cold starting' the locomotive, entering train data into systems and managing train faults. A German Language Manual is also available.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Our 23rd June Patch provided a significant update to the Expert DB BR 101 Add-on, including a new Livery and a list of new and improved features. You can read the full list in the relevant Patch Notes.[/p][p]Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel - Würzburg[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The pack also requires ownership of the Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel - Würzburg route, first released as a Core route in Train Sim World 3. This route is available as a Train Sim World 5 Compatible route Add-on.[/p][p]This route features the first true high-speed train in Germany, the ICE 1 which can accelerate up to 280 km/h.
