[h3]Hello Washers![/h3][p][/p][p]We recently dropped our demo for PowerWash Simulator 2, and so far, it has had 131,000 downloads! Thank you to everyone who has downloaded and jumped in to clean so far 💙[/p][p][/p][p]We have also shared our release date! PowerWash Simulator 2 will be coming ✨ October 23rd ✨[/p][p][/p][p]You’ve all been sharing some great feedback with us, and we’ve been gathering it all up and working away in the background.[/p][p][/p][p]Let’s talk about some of the bigger things that have been brought to our attention... [/p][p][/p][h3]60 FPS cap in the demo[/h3][p]The FPS cap in the demo, and if it would be in the final game, has been a big topic for a lot of you in our community. 

We’d like to let you all know that for release day, this will be removed, and you’ll have more freedom on your frame rate. More frames than you can shake your extra-long extension at![/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Performance/Optimisation [/h3][p]We have mixed reports from the community on performance, and the FPS cap doesn’t help that perception. However, the demo is based on an older, less optimised version of PowerWash Simulator 2.[/p][p]Our current launch patch looks like it will increase performance significantly for the majority of players. As we get out of launch, we will continue to monitor this as many more systems access the game.[/p][p][/p][h3]Controls and key rebinding[/h3][p]Controls and key rebinds have also been a topic that has come up a lot in your thoughts and feedback. This is something we’re working on and is our number 1 priority for post-launch. We hope to have this added in for everyone as soon as possible.[/p][p](We unexpectedly had to change our control system at the last minute, and had tried to get it in pre-launch but ran out of time. We're sorry this isn’t in already. We may test this in a beta branch very close to implementation, and we’ll let you know if this is the case.)[/p][p]For those of you who prefer the controls of PowerWash Simulator, we have the option of Modern or Classic controls so you can switch between control schemes and play with whichever works best for you. [/p][p]This can be done in the demo and will be in the game on day 1, and can be found in the settings under the Controls tab, supporting both mouse and keyboard, and controllers. Right now, PowerWash Simulator 2 officially supports Xbox and Dualsense controllers.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Cross-play functionality[/h3][p]This will remain the same as PowerWash Simulator, with the same code system for joining co-op games. PC (Steam, Epic Games, Windows Store) platforms will be able to play with Xbox consoles. [/p][p] 
PlayStation and Nintendo Switch 2 will not have any cross-play features at launch. The world is insufficiently clean and sparkly, so here comes Futurlab with Powerwash Simulator 2. The floor-mopping bonanza will release on 23rd October, a few short weeks from now. The release date announcement accompanies one of those satirical "corporate training" videos, commonly used by videogame creators to sneer indirectly at the sad unfortunates trapped in their Skinner boxes.

The trailer comments of the sequel's new cleaning tools, for example, that "it all does basically the same thing, but it gives you a false sense of progression, even though you've really achieved nothing". Fine then, Futurlab. I was looking forward to your glorified adult colouring book. I was modestly anticipating the opportunity to absent myself from my personal squalor and while away some hours in your pseudo-therapeutic tribute to Mr Muscles. But now that you've ripped off the mask and explicitly told me that I'm an addled hamster, deserving only of contempt, I guess I'll buy this game about pissing on people instead.
