1) Crew Meet Tonight
**********
YES! Crew meeting tonight! My favorite part of every week is when the three of us are blessed to sit down and bleed Pro Wrestling X for hours. For me, I’m like a little kid blurting out crazy ideas for Disneyland rides and having the actual smart engineering people tell me how exactly they can make dreams become real. I’m sure our lead programmer and artist are sitting on the other end of the line smirking and rolling their eyes at most of the shit I come up with but lately the insanity must be rubbing off because THEY’VE been the ones proposing the crazy shit! Not to spoil any of the plans, but after the last meeting I found myself having to research if Judy Bagwell was a real person, a map of Sturgis, and exactly how one would go about gluing shattered glass to one’s fist.
We’ve got probably 10-12 months of solid full time development mapped out. Now we just need the funds to put the guys to work full time. Chicken and egg...god dammit.
The agenda for tonight’s meeting covers a variety of topics from core development, business development, marketing ideas, new partnerships, to how we can best reward our hardcore suppoorters.
Partial list:
-The lighting in this week’s build needs optimizing
-New characters are looking good but we have requests for tweaks on one of them
-Database plans to make sure future rewards and DLC aren’t easily hacked.
-TONS of core movement adjustments; speed, etc.
-Time to start properly scaling the different heights of different wrestlers
-Do we want to add a strike combo system and if so, when in the roadmap does it make most sense.
-Selling naming/sponsorship rights to some moves and venues to raise development funding without it becoming gross and tacky.
-Scramble Cage? Cage of Death? Worth it?
-Animation priorities and just how much can Mr Wrestling 5 handle before he completely loses his mind being STILL the only artist for this entire f’n project!
-New championships and how to unlock them
-More content. More content. More content.
Can’t wait! Gonna be a FUN damn meeting! We’ve been slowly getting things in place to start streaming some crew meetings live on Discord so you can ALL enjoy the backstage drama and sausage making :)
2) Pic of the Week
**************
This week’s pic gets me right in the feels. When I first opened the Pro Wrestling X development studio in Vancouver I wanted to feel the collective energy of our supporters as soon as you walked through the front door. So I started printing out your letters of support and used them to wallpaper the entire entryway and staircase from the main floor to the second floor. Took me all day and it was worth it. Every morning I’d smile and walk up those stairs, running my hand along your letters and stopping to read one or two along the way.
Your letters from Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Australia, EVERYWHERE just filled the place with the BEST fucking vibe. You could almost hear the walls shouting, “FUCK YEAH!” from all sides. It was like passing through a gauntlet of all your best friends cheering you on and making sure the whole crew knew without a doubt WHY we were doing this and for WHOM. I still have all of those letters. I’m sure I could wallpaper my entire house five times over by now. What you see in this picture just shows a tiny fraction of the walls your letters decorated for us.
So..thank you. I’ve never met you. But you continue to change my life and the lives of the crew for the better :)

4) Question of the Week
*******************
Does following the joy and exciting parts of the Pro Wrestling X story inspire you to chase your dreams and set big audacious goals? Or does hearing about all of the heartbreaking failures and embarrassing mistakes have the opposite effect instead and scare you away from taking risks and dreaming big?
In the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of
Wrestling Gamers United.
