Hark brother! Winter is over. The game is finally out, our masters will return to feed us at last.

It’s been a little more than a year since we’ve announced Solasta II to the world, and another one since we’ve started working on it. Our Steam Next Fest Demo has now also run its course, living way beyond its intended lifespan - did you know we originally planned to take it down after the Next Fest ended in February 2025? Thankfully we realized that many more people would come to try it out… Hundreds of thousands in fact! Adventurers from all over the world, discovering Solasta II through the quaint village of Tor Wen.

But now is the time to say goodbye to the Tor Wen demo, and welcome to the Early Access of Solasta II. Forged in the flames of passion and the many feedback from you, our players, the game is finally available on Steam, with a little launch discount for the next 14 days to celebrate its release!

And just like in our previous game, we have a little Supporter Pack DLC available for those who wish to give us a little extra to support the studio. Don’t worry though - no game content is locked behind this DLC! Think of it as a tip jar, which gives you a few fun cosmetic items as a little thank you.

Also, for those who own Solasta: Crown of the Magister on Steam, make sure you grab the Franchise Bundle for an additional discount! Heroes of the Rift, we salute you for your service.
Launch Celebration Stream with the Devs!
You’re happy, we’re happy - you know what we should do? Celebrate! We’ll be live for a few hours following launch, mostly drinking beers and eating snacks in the studio while discussing with various members of the team about the game and creating a few characters to play with. Come join us while you wait for the game to download, or if you’re stuck at work and can’t play at the moment (we won’t tell)!

Oh and also… We’ll be giving away a few Solasta II Steam Keys for the occasion! If your wallet’s feeling a bit tight, or if you want to gift the game to a friend, make sure you enter the raffle! You can join us on Twitch or on YouTube, and get to know many faces that haven’t been on stream yet.
Bugs? Feedback? Where to go!
So you’re eager to help us during Early Access, you’ve found out about an obscure bug by making four rogues sneak attacking the same target at the same time? Say no more, we got you covered (and also, thank you for reporting it). Simply head to our official website, and in the Support Section you’ll find a big “Submit Feedback / Report a Bug” button.

This will allow you to either send us Feedback about how you think the game could be improved, or report a bug that you encountered. Keep in mind that in the case of bugs, we will need a save file! Without a save file it can become very time consuming for us to get to the bottom of the issue.

Since this ticket system is pretty new, make sure you share this information around if you see other people asking or suggesting interesting things online! This will save us a lot of time trying to cross reference reports from the Steam forums, Discord, Reddit etc. As always, thank you so much for helping us make our game better!
What’s next?
You didn’t think that we’d leave you to dry just because the game’s out now, did you? Right now, we’re standing at the bottom of the mountain - the climb has just started! Feast your eyes on the roadmap of upcoming Early Access updates.

And that’s not all! Just like in Solasta I, we’ll be hosting various Community Contests so we can build this game together. Fancy adding a few Random Events on the World Map? Keep an eye out…

Alright, that’s it for today - why are you still here, go enjoy the game now! And let us know if you enjoyed your stay in Neokos, make sure you leave us a review to help Solasta II grow!

Solasta 2 launch times and release date

Solasta has long been a sleeper hit for CRPG fans, and Solasta 2 is looking to take the series to new heights (with hopefully even more players). The demo that launched early last year gave us all a very promising first impression. Not to overgeneralise, but it's certainly giving off Baldur's Gate 3 vibes in the best way possible. The next stage, then, is the Solasta 2 launch time and release date for its early access debut...

Solasta II Early Access Preview—Deep Strategic Roleplaying

Solasta II has been on my mind since I first glimpsed it last year. The vertical slice shown during that brief preview was enough to convince me to try the original game, which I have played twice now. Looking back, I am even more impressed by what developer Tactical Adventures accomplished on a narrative level. A mere 30-minute preview contained more story than an entire campaign I have come to love.

When the chance to preview an early build of Solasta II landed in my inbox, it was one of the fastest “yes” replies I have ever sent.

Solasta II Early Access Overview

Solasta II is a tactical role-playing adventure with a heavy emphasis on turn-based combat. Combat and systems are built using the latest 2024 D&D SRD (5.2) ruleset. The Early Access release covers Act One of the story, which amounts to roughly 10 to 15 hours of gameplay.

Dev Update #23 - Character Creation

Hello future heroes of Neokos!

Welcome to our final Dev Update before the release of Early Access. Only two weeks left! The studio is abuzz with anticipation, excitement, and to be honest - a sprinkle of anxiety as the game is about to leave our hands and head into the wild. They grow up so fast… That said, we’ll still be watching over it for quite some time. This is only the beginning after all, there are plenty of large updates in store! But enough dillydallying, we have a Character Creator Tool to present.

If only the benefits of Long Rests could be transferred from our pets to us… We’ve all broken out the IRL Coffeelock build for the last straight! Just kidding, some of us are tea-powered.
Time to create your team!
You’ve launched the game, clicked on New Adventure, ready to start a new journey and…Wait, where is everyone?

Aawwww dangit, this is just like my IRL tabletop sessions! Not cool, guys!

Just kidding, we have a full video right below walking you through all the aspects of Character Creation. Turns out we realized while writing this article that we’d need waaaay too many screenshots to showcase everything, so a showing video would be much easier to explain everything.

Still have more questions about it? Feel free to drop by our official Discord server and head to the #Ask-a-dev channel so we can give you answers!
… Is that Ben and Dev?
In case you missed it, we just released a video last week with our lovely Ben and Devora going over their 5 Top Improvements of Solasta II.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Look forward to more videos featuring them in the days / weeks to come!

Solasta 2 is committed to implementing a D&D 5E rule that Baldur's Gate 3 dismissed

Solasta: Crown of the Magister was a more combat-focused take on the rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition than Baldur's Gate 3, and so it included a couple of tactical options that Larian's narrative-heavy RPG didn't. Dodge, for instance—an action that gives all attacks against you disadvantage and also gives you advantage on Dexterity saving throws—was an option in Solasta...
