Emote Wheel Update!

The Emote Wheel Update is here!
[p]Today we're introducing emotes for all squirrels!
The new emotes are usable via the new Emote Wheel!
[/p][h2]New feature: Emote Wheel![/h2][p]This new feature allows you to communicate with your fellow squirrels through 8 new emotes, which can all be selected through the Emote Wheel.

Example: You want to wave to a fellow squirrel:[/p]
  1. [p]Press and hold Q, [/p]
  2. [p]Select the waving emote (highlighted in the screenshot below)[/p]
  3. [p]You'll now be waving excitedly![/p]
[p]It's that easy!

The squirrels have packed up the midsummer celebration. While the event has ended, we've added the Flower Crown back as a permanent feature. [/p]
  • [p]Equip the Flower Crown by interacting with the Flower Wreath[/p]
  • [p]Un-equip the Flower Crown by interacting with a Flower Wreath again. [/p]
[p]You can find the Flower Wreath in the building menu under "Decorations".
Please note you'll need to re-equip the Flower Crown if you exit the game or start a new park. [/p][p] [/p][p]So, enjoy emoting to your fellow squirrels, and have a great Squirreling day! [/p][p][/p][p]The Far Seas team [/p][p]

Telly-porter Update!

The Telly-porter Update is here!
[p]Today we're introducing the Telly-porter and adding performance improvements! [/p][h2]
New feature: Telly-porter![/h2][p]This new utility item enables you to transport between any two places where a Telly-porter is built.

Example:[/p]
  1. [p]Place a Telly-porter in your cozy squirrel home and place another one in a different part of the park (ie. an area with beautiful pink trees, as seen below).[/p]
  2. [p]Adjust the telly-porter to show the channel matching the location you want to go to. [/p]
  3. [p]Jump into the Telly-porter to instantly travel to the other location.[/p]
[p]Easy as that! [/p][p][/p][p][/p]
  • [p]To make it easier to know where you'll end up, the Telly-porter shows the location on the screen. Each Telly-porter also has a number, which matches the channels you can tune into. [/p]
  • [p]In the example above, the Telly-porter in the house is number 1, and the Telly-porter in the area with the pink trees is number 3, so setting the channel to 3 will take you to where Telly-porter 3 is located. [/p]
[p]The required materials to build the Telly-porter are:[/p][h3]4x Glass Shard
1x Spring
3x Plank
2x Bent Nail[/h3][p]Mediate on these materials to unlock it!

[/p][h2]Performance updates![/h2][p]We've improved the performance of the main menu. This will significantly lower the CPU and GPU usage while using (or idle in) the main menu.

New default graphics settings are added for the Steam Deck, which will significantly improve performance for Steam Deck users.

If you're currently playing Squirreled Away on Steam Deck and would like to switch to the new graphics settings, simply head into the Menu -> Graphics -> Reset to Default (small button next to the graphics quality settings).

If the button isn't visible for you, it means you're already on the default settings, and you're good to go!

Squirreled Away - Summer Update!

Hey Squirrels!

Midsummer's here!

We're celebrating by bringing a midsummer-themed update with new items, decorations, features and fixes!

[h2]New Items: Flower Crown and Midsummer Pole[/h2]
- We've added some items inspired by Swedish midsummer celebrations, that we hope you will have fun with! See if you can find the midsummer pole in the park and equip the flower crown!


[h2]New Feature: Build with materials from chests[/h2]
- This means that you can now store all your crafting materials in chests in your favorite house or burrow, and use the materials to build and craft even when you're not near the chest. You'll no longer need to bring all the crafting materials with you in your inventory.
